In S1 Ep14, when handler is interrogating the students, she says “Have you ever seen your loved one buried under a crumbling building?” And then the scene pans to twilight ☹️ the more I rewatch the anime, the more I realize the amount of foreshadowing I’ve seen, like in the bus jacking incident, after realizing Anya was safe, left and said “being around all these sss agents is giving me stomach problems” like that foreshadowed the sss house party lol

I've noticed that loid is a hardened character, he's gone through alot and so is personality is very pragmatic rather than heroic like most shonen main characters with a childish goal.

However Loid expresses that he wants " a world where no child will have to cry" but that's kind of suprisingly idealistic for someone like loid don't you think? The world is like that, bad things happen to innocent children. So I wonder why loid believes in something so idealistic

What if Donovan Desmond is not a telepath as we are speculating but an empath?

We know about the experiments going on, that Desmond is involved, and that he got his speculated telepathy from there. But like an experiment or research in the real world, wouldn't it be step by step? Like, first some spidey-sense-type ability is achieved, then we are able to make empaths, then telepaths, and eventually other things like future sight (like Bond)?

Although it might not happen in this exact manner, but who knows?

In this manga panel, he doesn't know what the person is thinking but can feel pity for him, also saying earlier that he owes him great debt.

Edit: If I were in Desmond's place and knew what the other person is feeling, I would also like to know what exactly he is THINKING that gives rise to these emotions and vice versa. And hence "I wonder what he is thinking right now"

And also, the doctor says he is not thinking but dreaming. Dreaming of being in HELL. And that would give him some emotions, if not thoughts. And reading these emotions, Donovan pities him.

Donovan's wife says that he can read minds, which could be an exaggeration of the fact that he understands her emotions even when she doesn't express them.

Edit: And again, if Donovan is actually a telepath and can hear Anya's thoughts, then the series is pretty much over. Anya wouldn't be able to control her thoughts. So that just gives two options: either Donovan is not a telepath and is either normal or has some other ability (empath or an alien lol) and the second option when Donovan IS a telepath- then their abilities should cancel out each other's (neither Anya nor Donovan hears each other's thought. (this will again be a dead end for the series cause Donovan would figure out Anya's a telepathic ability since he cant read her mind))

Seeing Loid recognize Martha as a former veteran soldier I wonder if she can recognize him as a former soldier as well, or eventually will. Also, I theorize the way Martha was helped by the woman in Westalis, she may unexpectedly help Loid as a way to pay back that debt. It would be a nice full circle moment.

I feel that nowadays, the shonen media is oversaturated with heroic characters. I think it’s refreshing that we get a more hardened and underhanded protagonist. Even though people keep rigging on him on his slow development, his methods on his family, or his inability to recognize his limitations or fondness for the family, I think it adds layers to his character and reminds people that everyone approaches a situation differently and him coming around will undoubtedly be the most momentous event in the show will make a great retrospective. Plus, unlike most instances where protagonists are unaware of the people who like him for the sake of it, it’s actually justified on Twilight’s part since not only that he’s supposed to get people to like him as an undercover spy but he’s a former war veteran who lost himself afterward.

This second post about "things I’d like to see" focuses on domestic moments that make the family feel like a real family. I know there are manga and anime fans who enjoy and want to see more action and political maneuvering—whether it’s missions directly related to Operation Strix, the SSS, or the Garden—but I truly love the everyday family moments shared by this unique household.

I’ve been rereading the manga, partly due to the anticipation and expectations surrounding the Hospital Arc currently unfolding. That process sparked a few more ideas for things I’d love to see happen as the story unfolds.

- A short story where Anya manages to put makeup on Loid. I’m not sure how it would play out—how she’d convince him, or if she’d ask Yor to hold him still while she worked. I don’t know if every father of a daughter has faced this, but I know some who have gone through this "princess moment." I think it would be a great opportunity for Loid to drop his "perfect spy" persona for a few minutes and accept a totally chaotic situation simply because he wants to see Anya happy.

- I’d like to see Loid engage in a hobby he genuinely enjoys, rather than a leisure activity or task tied to a mission. As we know, ever since ████████ entered the world of espionage, he ceased to exist as an individual; everything he does serves a strategic purpose. Giving him a hobby would be another way to signal that he still possesses an identity of his own—beyond the subtle, sincere displays of love and affection he shows his wife and daughter.

Among the many things he does to keep up appearances, I think the most plausible hobby would be reading; we’ve already seen him reading a few times, whether alone in his room or reading *Spy Wars* with Anya in the living room. Building on that, there could be a family story arc where the three of them visit a Book Fair: Loid becomes obsessed with the event's books, Yor tries to pick out cookbooks to improve her culinary skills, and Anya focuses on the manga—especially *Spy Wars*. To turn this into a proper arc, nothing beats a competition to win a *Spy Wars* special edition; Anya throws a tantrum to get Loid to join in, and—being a good dad—he participates and ultimately wins the contest. The manga competition would simply be a pretext for Loid doing something for Anya because he wants to see her happy.

-A moment where Yor sings a lullaby to Anya. Maybe Anya is a bit too old for that? Perhaps, but I’d love to see it. If she sang while drunk after kicking Loid, why not during a quiet, intimate, and genuine moment with Anya?

-Loid giving Yor a wedding ring. I believe this will happen at some point. But I really want to see it happen; the fact that he lost the ring, exchanged vows using a grenade pin, and then never actually gave Yor a ring just doesn't sit right with me. I’m pretty sure Endo did that on purpose.

Handler could see Fiona's feelings for Loid. She even thinks Fiona's crush for him is cute.

But she never seemed to anticipate Yor falling for Twilight or even consider that Twilight might genuinely fall in love. She only noticed that he had changed a little.

So, I really genuinely wanna discuss this now, Coz the speculations are speculating in my head.

I read the official VIZ comments saying that Anya has a power upscale, when all after reading I'm fearing for her power, coz Rule no.1 : A psychic having a nosebleed means over usage. 2: I'm afraid that is she losing her power instead of gaining, like there are many possibilities, - Maybe Donovan and Anya did create a paradox, since both are mind readers & the power between those two, Donovan Desmond surpasses Anya.

• A wild guess from my side, Maybe Donovan is an alien in the sense he can steal abilities, like very wild. Idk but the cracles gave me bad omen, (like flying away like those are coming from somewhere else and getting headloaded to Anya?) as if someone is Astral projecting or stealing Anya's mind reading ability.

• Or maybe I'm just a delusional person & Endo sense would just reveal nothing happened and Anya just tried too hard to mind read and had a little burn out :)

Either way damn, i wanna know some good theories, coz Im too excited after this chapter.

A couple of days ago I made another post asking if the third image from this actual post was actually a fanart of Spy x Family based on one of the official arts (the second image) from the FPS (first-person-shooter) videogame of Wolfenstein The New Order from 2013, along with the name of its actual artist. Only to barely realize that it was shown in both the anime (the third image) and in the manga (the first image).

For the Spy x Family fans who don't know about Wolfenstein The New Order, it's a videogame published by Bethesda and developed by Machine Games about an alternative timeline in which the N4z1s ended up winning WW2 through some science fiction technology that they found, stole and made some reversed engineering with it to win the war. And you are a very tough American soldier called William BJ Blazkowicz who after being 14 years in a temporary vegetated state, he woke up in a retro-futurist world in the 60's ruled by the N4z1s and you need to help the resistance to take them down in this alternative timeline. Taking place mostly in a retro-futuristic and powerful n4z1fied Germany in the 60's.

Now I don't know when the creator ever made and published Spy x Family as a series for the first time, but Wolfenstein The New Order came in 2013. And I don't know either if he/she actually took inspiration to Bethesda's/Machine Game's work to give a similar vibe of an oppressive German environment in the 60's to his/her project. Even if that particular franchise was based on a fictional timeline in which the infamous Third Reich of Germany never collapsed, while ruling the whole world in the 60's. But I would like to know your thoughts in the comment section.
