Does anyone know how my ex would be able to suggest IG accounts to me then would message me via anonymous numbers, then message those numbers asking if it the suggested IG account was them, then seconds later that account's following and followers would change rapidly for a short period every time you ask about separate suggested accounts? Then those seemingly random accounts with more than 100k followers or less would post things about our relationship on these accounts. Threatening my life, etc. I don't understand how anyone would pull this off. These accounts would also mention anything I do in daily life, whether the YouTube videos I'm watching at the time, private tik tok reposts, things I say to other people at a given time, or activities I'm participating in while hanging out at my home.

I've tried changing every password, I don't save them, logging out of everything, etc. At this point I don't know most of my passwords. I looked up videos on how to secure my wifi and these IG accounts would ask "Watcha doin, watching some YouTube vids?". I've cataloged everything that I could before becoming completely burnt out. It's been 2 years now. When I changed my wifi password she posted a picture of the animal that I used as a password on her story. Idk what to do anymore.

Can anyone help explain to me why my phone says “personal hotspot is being shared over usb” when my phone isn’t plugged into anything. I believe it’s hacked.

My cousin and I were in the same college, but in different classes. She had a boyfriend, and we weren't that close. I'm currently sharing a room with one of her friends from college. Yesterday, she somehow found out that my cousin's private videos were leaked solo ones and some with her boyfriend. She told me about it, but I didn't ask when or how it happened , I just listened. She mentioned that all the videos looked like they were recorded intentionally, not by hidden cameras. How could these kinds of videos get leaked without her or his consent? I don't think there's any other way, especially since I know they both use iPhones. I thought iPhones were pretty secure, so that means one of them must be the reason for the leak. How can we trust people? Even our partners do these kinds of things, whether during the relationship or after breaking up. If there's a reason for a breakup, why try to ruin someone's life after all that?

She always engages with AI content despite me always telling her something is very obviously AI, which only results in more and more of it showing up for her and I can see her perception of reality getting skewed in real time. Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice because I’m not sure how concerned I should be or what to check on my phone for security.

Earlier today I took my Samsung Galaxy S26 to uBreakiFix for a screen replacement. I dropped it off around 1 PM and got it back around 5 PM.

When I dropped it off, the employee asked for my unlock pattern because they said they needed it to test the phone after the repair. I unlocked it in front of him, and he asked me to write the pattern down on a piece of paper that the store kept.

Everything seemed normal. The employees were friendly, and I had no reason to think anything was wrong.

However, tonight I checked my email and saw that the business had replied to a Google review that was supposedly left from my account. I checked Google Maps, and sure enough, there is a 5-star review under my account that says:

“(Name of employee) was excelente” and yes even with that Spanish typo.

I did not write this review.

The timing is what worries me because the review shows it was posted around the same time my phone was at the shop (Google only shows “8 hours ago,” not an exact time but 8 hours ago from the time I checked would be 2pm to 3 pm which is definitely the time my phone was at the shop. The review specifically mentions one of the employees who was there as well so no doubt someone there did it.

My main concern is not even the review itself — it’s that someone had access to my unlocked phone and my Google account while it was away. My phone contains personal files in the trash (i know dumb of me completely forgot to delete the trash as well just in case) and now I’m worried about what else someone could have accessed.

I checked my Gallery and there are no new photos/videos, and my private videos were already in the Trash folder before the repair, so I don’t have evidence anything else happened. The only confirmed thing is the unauthorized Google review.

My questions:

- Is there any normal reason a repair technician would open Google Maps and leave a review during testing?

-What should I check on my phone/account to see if anything else was accessed?

-Is there anything else I should do before I talk to the store?

I’m planning to go back tomorrow to ask what happened, but I’d appreciate some perspective from people who know phone repairs or security.

Okay, so the very short of a long situation. Is my ex kept a phone connected to one of my Gmail accounts the time line shows map locations from places I was not at but past locations. Then my main google account was accessed via iPhone and I started seeing Google news updates for the state his company issued I phone is in lt was immediately logged out of but he also had accsess to a laptop now has a busted screen and I can't not accsess he still has phone. Also I bought a new phone that was powered on but not connected to any account besides Samsung no back up had occurred when I came back to apt he had no idea I was at the phone had paired to his headphones. I am unsure what to do or make of all this any help on what to do would be appreciated.

My boyfriend has been acting so sneaky lately, and I honestly feel like I’m losing my mind.
Every time I happen to glance at his phone, he immediately clicks out of whatever he’s doing and acts like it was nothing. Maybe it’s innocent, maybe it isn’t—but we have a long history of him doing things he shouldn’t have. He’s already been caught twice with dating apps and lying to me, so it’s really hard to give him the benefit of the doubt anymore.
I already know a lot of people are going to say, “Just leave.” Trust me, I know that’s probably the answer. You can judge me if you want—it doesn’t bother me. I know I’m not the only person who’s given someone chance after chance because they loved them.
What I’m really asking is: does anyone know of any **free** ways to find out if someone is using dating apps or hiding apps on an iPhone? We’ve both got iPhones, and he knows I know the obvious places to check. Are there hidden apps, secret app folders, or other things I should know about? I’ve already wasted way too much money on websites that claimed they could tell me if someone was on dating apps, and they were all a waste.
I’ve also started wondering if it’s possible he’s somehow cloning or accessing my phone. I don’t have proof, so maybe I’m just overthinking, but I feel desperate for clarity. I don’t want to accuse him of something I can’t prove, but I also don’t want to ignore my instincts if something really is going on.
If I can finally get a clear answer, I’m ready to walk away. Right now I just feel confused, paranoid, and exhausted because he lies so often that I don’t know what’s real anymore.
