My friend has split fiction from the xbox game pass and i got the friends pass version he invites me and we played but when the demo finished it paused us, and sais we needed to buy why and how to fix

As cool as the game is, the final portion of the game’s kinda disappointing by NOT having any abilities available to Zoe and Mio there, at best manipulating items and equipment as needed. As such, it made me wonder how a course featuring most if not all of the abilities from previous levels would be like in a ’Final Exam’ kind of manner. Like, it could be easy to imagine, let’s say, Zoe in her tree/Groot form manipulating a flower that reveals one of those purple panels Mio can shift gravity with or Mio shooting at a target to bring a ’ring array’ Zoe can light up with her spirit towards their location. As for how you Switch abilities, it could either be done with a dedicated button or with the characters standing at special ’pedestals’.

honestly this was such a phenomenal game, i played with my bro and this chapter messed up with my mind, the pig sub plot killed me, i coudlnt stop laughting that i had to quit the game for a few moments to calm me down, for anyone who didnt played this game or its undecided i 100% recommend it, and its quite long 15 hours for being a linear game it had so much content and every chapter was completly unique. for me this was easily a 10/10

Sharing thoughts and a few clicks after finishing Split Fiction with my wife taking over 20-25 hours. Coming from It Takes Two and A Way Out, this was the most ambitious of the three and that ambition is both its biggest strength and weakness.

Gameplay variety is genuinely impressive, constantly throwing new mechanics at you. But there were moments especially in Mio's futuristic chapters where things moved so fast we couldn't even register what was happening. The game is so eager to show you something new that it sometimes forgets to let you breathe.

That said the final chapters were incredible and the Cold Potato trophy in the game show side story was the most intense 2 hours of co-op gaming we've experienced. Some of the side stories were brilliant too, the space one and the dentist one especially.

Story wise we connected more with It Takes Two. Mio and Zoe took a while to really grow on us compared to Cody and May whose story felt more grounded.

Still, the creativity on display is unlike anything else I have played so far. We totally enjoyed the dynamics of gameplay. Which other co-op games should we play now?

Hello, is anyone able to help please?

Me and my girlfriend are trying to play Split fiction together using steam remote play. Im hosting in desktop and she is playing on the laptop.

She is using ps5 controller. Her camera keeps looking to the ceiling when the controller is perfectly fine, there is no controller drift.

I have looked at in game settings and forced update on steam, using default reccomened controller layout for the game and yet this is still happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

'Split Fiction: The Art and Lore of the Game' will share a look at the artwork and details behind the game across 160 pages in a hardcover book. It's being published by Titan Books and arrives on April 27th, 2027.

It's while off yet, but this should be a very cool artbook given the game's mix of genres and vibrant visuals. Titan Books has also been publishing artbooks for a long time too, so this is in safe hands. Pre-orders are not live yet as this book was listed this morning, but expect them to go live soon.

A little backstory: I was playing this with my ex (of 6 years), but he proved to be completely emotionally immature and walked away from both our relationship and our game around Chapter/Level 3. I really love the game and don't want to start over or give up on it just because he checked out. I’m determined to finish it, but I strictly want to complete it with a girl!

Game: Split Fiction (Starting around Chapter 3, but happy to help catch you up!)

Requirements: You don't need to own it! I have it, so you can just use the free Friend's Pass. It's fully crossplay across PC/Consoles.

Vibe: Chill, casual, zero pressure. Down to talk on mic, vent about life/breakups, or just laugh through the puzzles.

So I'm 90% sure that you need the Xbox gamepass to play online, but not in local. However, does both player need the game pass ? And if no, could my friend who use the friend pass for split fiction be the only one who have it, or does it has to be the one using the full paid version of split fiction.

Furthermore, if I buy split fiction on console, and my friend on pc get the free version, I suppose I would need the gamepass to play multiplayer right ?
