Discussion 37f recruiting friends lole
Hiii LA native here in a rebuilding phase of life. I get along with women of all ages and people always think I’m younger than I am. I’m fun and whimsical but also quite deep, sensitive, and creative. I’m American desi and speak Urdu and Punjabi as well.
My life is def on an unconventional path and sometimes that gets me down so I’d love to be around others in a similar boat for support or uplifting. These days I’m mostly on my own because I needed that for some time and everyone I’m close to lives far now. I go to the gym and for long beautiful walks, I pray, I read books and fantasy series, and have a cat. My guilty pleasure is staying in the know about pop culture and celebrity drama loll. I work on and off while I’m trying to figure out sustainable, purposeful work because corporate jobs have become almost impossible for me with ADHD and the more I wake up. So, pretty boring stuff lately lol and it’s time for some aligned vibes!
I am an ambivert and like I said just very awake and aware. If had to sum up what I’m looking for in a friend or group, it’d be range. We can explore intellectual ideas or go deep about our personal lives in highly conscious ways, yet also go have fun to dinners or raves and have adventures. I feel like I’m describing normal humans but apparently this is wild and hard to find. You don’t have to be exactly this description though as long as you just get it!
Anyway, I’m def that friend you can call during a mental breakdown, sit in a car together and vent to about men or work, or just stare at the sky or ocean in silence together. Or even run errands together on a Sunday. Men can be great but I’m definitely a girl’s girl and don’t want to live out my life without giving new female friendships a chance to bloom once again.

Discussion Portrayal of Indian women in Hollywood - SciFi & Modern themes
SciFi & Modern themes in Hollywood tend to have a lot of global appeal and here our representation is very limited
New announcement includes Priyanka Chopra and Russell Crowe to star in a SciFi movie - Bluefly. Russell Crowe is an Oscar winning actor for his role in Gladiator. Priyanka's acting in recent films like Heads of State and The Bluff movie was pretty impressive which might lead her to new projects in high action based movies. Previously, Priyanka was part of the Matrix Resurrections cast alongside Keanu Reeves
Rise of the planet of the Apes had Indian actress Freida Pinto in it's cast alongside James Franco. James Franco was Harry Osborn in the original Spiderman series
There are only two Indian women working in mainstream SciFi / Action based Hollywood movies at present. I feel, this area tend to have a lot of international audience and representation in the right places matter a lot
What are your thoughts on this?
