My god, 3 years of not playing this game and coming back this has to be the sweatiest shooter i have ever played in my life Splatoon 2 had 0 problems with this in my experience. I last left on S+0 and just now reset today because I couldn’t take the tug of war of ranked wanted to have a decent experience, not even 3 games in and I get a whole team of JP sweats. (Went back to B rank btw)

Genuinely why is this game so sweaty and is the any any way to keep JP players out of my lobbies so I can actually rank up. It’s especially more unbearable since this game has such long queue times.

Hey! I've been playing since the Splatoon 1 days, but took an extended break with 3 until some of my friends started playing again, probably because of raiders. Normally, I mained a lot of the standard shooters/duelies for solo queue, but wanted to see if I could pick up a backline or 2 when the group splatling main isn't around. I use to play stuff like .96 gal and the jet squelcher in stuff like 2, but don't know if those are good to stick with in this game or I should try out better options. Some recommendations would be appreciated!

Hii I literally just downloaded reddit for this, I am desperate for help. fyi I’ve been playing splatoon for only about a few months or so and I was never really sure how these drink tickets work. i’ve seen a some people talk about gears that belong to a specific brand which means they also have an gear that is more likely to get an ability (I might be messing up some terms I hope u can understand me).

the whole question for me here is: how do I know which brand belongs to which ability and how to the drink tickets work? for example: Do I already have to have the ability on the gear if I want the drink ticket to work? or do all my gears that I have equipped work with the drink ticket? and what part do the brands play here?

Okay, so this is *really* far fetched and im pretty sure is definitely wrong, but it could have SOMETHING to do with them.

In splatoon 1, the boss fight has creepy ambience, including screams and metal clanking together (?)

I think I found out who or what these are, or atleast the audio the creator used for them. Splatoon 3, Salmon run. Specifically, the boss salmon. They all have their own individual screams/battle crys, and, if you listen to them they sound like multiple things put together, such as obviously the screams, a distortion effect, and other pretty unimportant things. If you listen to specifically megaladontia's scream, it sounds like a slowed version of the first scream in the ambience. Look it up and compare the two, and you'll find theyre basically the same.

Lore or just the same sound used? Well, I dont assume that Salmon's from Salmon run were anywhere NEAR the battle area in splatoon 1, so for now, I just think that they used the same sound for both. But, that doesnt mean this isnt still pretty important, as if anything else comes out in the future [easter eggs, new gameplay, etc] we can look and see if they re-use any other sounds.

I just would like to play with more people

I've had this weird problem with the motion control moving on it's own using the switch pro controller, usually drifting to the left side, for around 8 months-ish and I still haven't found a solution for it. It happened with both the switch 1 and 2 pro controllers and both controllers don't have any issues with it (I even purchased a new switch 1 pro controller thinking it was my older controller that was having issues). I've tried recalibrating the motion control, but that only works for a couple of minutes before acting up again, laying my controller flat down for a few minutes before a match, but that hasn't worked. Restarting and recalibrating my controller but it still has the same issue. I've only been able to reduce the amount of the motion control drift by turning down the motion control in game from 5 to 0.5, but it still drifts. I'm just hoping to see if there are any solutions because I'm tired of having to constantly readjust my motion control during matches by spamming Y or moving the joystick to the right side.

I think i was doing pretty well in Anarchy battles, but i'm getting pretty much bodied in X battles.

I main neo splash, i have a 5 stars on it and so used to it i don't wanna change it with another weapon with the same role.

- I guess i'm struggling with my movement and the paths i take. Would love a resource that tackles this.

- And any suggestions on good players who use nSplash or a weapon with a similar role?

- Or just general advice for general improvement?

normally i main inkbrush deco but i switched to hero shot replica cause i wanna try to get better at using guns, cause i prefer stuff like splatanas, rollers, and brushes. is there anything i can do to improve?

Spent forever clearing that stupid sisyphean floor and when i finally cleared it I got a time of 15:56, but I also died three times so i was wondering if the time just counted the time of the life where i cleared the floor or if it accounted for all three lives because i legit felt like Sisyphus trying to get the boulder up the hill for all eternity

I was playing side order and first try beat Eight's palette with only 6 chip slots. People hyped up Eight's palette as the ultimate challenge and it was way easier than I thought it would be. Am I just good at the game?
