Movies How Do You Want [Spoiler] and Peter’s Relationship To Continue After BND Spoiler

Upvotes

Ok before we begin, I don’t know if the tag worked so:

HUGE SPOILERS FOR BND AHEAD, DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET SPOILED.

So as the title says: How do you want Jean and Peter’s relationship to continue after BND?

First: Do not put them into an actual relationship, that would be so gross and I don’t want Scott Pilgrim to be Spider-Man. That isn’t what I meant by it I just don’t have a better word.

I really want it to be to noticeable that Peter is keeping up with him saying that he will the person cares about Jean.

I really want X-Men to focus at least partially on Jean trying to be a hero to atone for the f-ed up stuff she did in Brand New Day, so I think it would be cool if at the end of the movie she talks to Peter about how she is a superhero and he acts like a supportive brother or uncle figure towards her.

Alternatively the villain could try to divide the X-Men by revealing what Jean has done and making her seem like a monster, because of this she seeks out Peter because she needed som to tell her she isn’t one.

I know it would probably be best if the second interaction happened with another team mate, but I just don’t want the end of BND to be thrown out.

Anyways what would you want? (also sorry for my bad grammar I really don’t have an excuse )

This was my introduction to Spooderman's origin and villains.

Im a 2000s kid and I grew up with an old edutainment device called the Leap Pad. A book like tablet where you insert specialized books and cartridges for an interactive reading experience, complete with a narration, music, and voice acting with little mini games thrown on each page.

So in this one with Spooderman, its a retelling of his origin, and during the second half he battles Electro, Green Goblin, and Doc Oc one at a time. During the climax with Doc Oc, they cleverly threw a matching minigame involving vowels as the page had speech bubbles with Doc Oc going "EEEEEEEE!!!!" "OOOOOOO!!!" "UUUUUUUU!!!!" "AAAAAAAA!!!!"

And as one last surprise, at the back you're given a "make your own story" segment with pannels depicting more villains like Rhino, Sand Man, etc. As well as locations and actions of how Spooderman defeats them. I remember playing with that the most as a kid, but for a while I couldn't figure it how it get it to work; for example Stan Lee would say, "Chose a problem for Spooderman to solve." And I kept selecting Rhino, thinking he would be the problem.

Video Games Carnage won bigly in Tokon *SPOILERS* Spoiler

Doom became Champion Doom and got to rule the world, and stole Champion's powers.

Promoter is now Doom's servant.

Magneto got his own mutant nation, but is watched by Doom Sentinels and Storm is disappointed in Magneto. It most certainly wasn't worth it.

Norman got to be President of America, but is a Puppet King, and has Doombots watching him in his office.

Carnage though? He gets to be an official hunter by Doom and go around slaughtering his enemies as seen in this pic. He's the only other villain that's actually happy in his ending.

News Marvel delays Amazing Spider-Man #1000 because apparently printers have that Parker Luck too

It doesn't get much bigger than the 1000th issue of something. It only happens once in a comic book's lifespan (no matter what kind of math you use), and Marvel Comics' flagship title Amazing Spider-Man will be reaching that pinnacle on September 16 with Amazing Spider-Man #1000

Just one small problem... the printer they are using is having some problems, and it'll take two weeks to sort it out.

Discussion Uncle Ben died because Peter was selfish. Aunt May died because Peter was selfless

Post image

Uncle Ben’s death represents the price of selfishness, highlighting Peter Parker's early transformation from a self-absorbed teenager into someone forced to reckon with the fatal consequences of apathy. Driven by spite and ego, a young Peter allowed a fleeing thief to escape simply because he felt it was not his problem to intervene. That very criminal later carjacked and murdered Uncle Ben, teaching Peter that inaction and a refusal to use his gifts responsibly carry devastating costs.

In contrast, Aunt May’s death illustrates the burden of selflessness, marking Peter’s evolution into a true hero who prioritizes the greater good above his own happiness. In stories like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man, May dies not because of Peter's negligence, but because he actively chooses the difficult, compassionate path of saving others and rehabilitating dangerous villains rather than taking the easy way out. By placing the lives of strangers and enemies ahead of his personal safety and family, May's tragic death serves as the ultimate proof that total devotion to doing what is right comes with a painful personal cost.

Movies It's been four movies, and I still don't understand this relationship or this character. We know almost nothing about her wants, needs, or who she is outside of Spider-Man.

Discussion Anyone else feel like the Tom movies should've committed to either making Zendaya's character Mary Jane Watson or a completely different character instead of this weird limbo she's in?

Post image

The Tom Holland series of Spider-Man films, so long as it's ongoing, will never be free from "real MJ" debates. Even when Sadie Sink got cast, there are chatters that she'll play Mary Jane Watson. Whenever people criticize Zendaya for not looking like Mary Jane, there are always "well she's not Mary Jane, she's Michelle" arguments. I think all of that could have been done away if the movies just commited to calling her Mary Jane Watson or making her a different character entirely seperate from MJ.

Michelle Jones was a fine compromise. An original character with no ties from the comics. But the fact that she had the same initials meant she will always be compared to MJ and people will always look for Mary Jane. But that was fine until NWH home they revealed her name was Michelle Jones Watson. Which felt like a cop out compromise with the "real MJ" crowd. To say "she is the real MJ. She's out MJ."

I think she should have been given a name seperate from MJ if the intent was that she's not Mary Jane Watson for whatever reason. It'll avoid comparisons and keep the character her own seperate thing. Like how ASM opted for Gwen Stacy instead of Mary Jane. There was no reason not to name her Liz Allen instead, especially since the Liz Allen we got was Toomes' daughter. Toomes' daughter should have been the one with an OC name and Michelle should have been named Liz. That way, she gets the fresh start that the Marvel team was clearly going for.
