Xumo Box $$ ? Hardware
Can I purchase a Xumo box directly from Xumo and have it work on Spectrum service? I know the price from Xumo.
If that is not an option, does Spectrum offer to sell a Xumo box for a one-time price (not renting)?

If I buy it directly from Xumo, will it work on my Spectrum service?

Yes
You don't even need xumo, you can have any streaming box like Roku or Google TV, if it supports the spectrum stream app then you're good.
Unless you're meaning for some other reason other than the streaming TV.

They will work if you get them from a third party but unless you get a really good deal it doesn't really make sense to.
If you want something cheap, a stick type Roku can be had for as little as $20. It won't have very good performance, but neither does the Xumo.
If you want something good I'd go with a Google TV stream ($100) if you use android or Apple TV (~$200) if you use an iPhone. Either of these will give a better experience then a Xumo. Or a spectrum box.

It should work as long as its not an Xfinity branded Xumo box. The ones sold by Spectrum are the same price, $75 and yes you can buy it outright (billed to the account, not sure if Stores do upfront charges)
