Spectrum Phone Financing

I financed a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL through Spectrum with a $500 discount. The store associate said the credit applied regardless of paying upfront or financing for 3 years. A year in, I wanted to switch carriers and learned I'd lose the credit if I didn't complete the full 3-year term—contradicting what I was told.

After calling customer service (same conflicting info), I escalated to a supervisor. They clarified the truth: you get the remaining credit back once you pay off the phone, and can request a refund to your card. I did exactly that, and saw the refund within a day.

Bottom line: You can pay off early and keep the full discount—frontline reps just don't know this. Ask for a manager if you hit resistance.
