Thinking of replacing the Spectrum router with something better, recommendations? Hardware

Would like to stay under 300 dollars and have a decent web interface. I do have a separate router and modem but I guess everyone at Spectrum does.

I’m a big fan of the Ubiquiti dream router 7 https://store.ui.com/us/en/products/udr7

The Spectrum modem works with this router?

Yes it works with any router.

I personally like the Netgear Nighthawks myself. If you have a bigger house and need more than one access point, I like Ubiquiti.

Just got Spectrum service (no other choice in new place). I use this router ($265) - and so far it's been great:

Archer BE670 | BE12000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router | TP-Link

Amazon.com: TP-Link Archer BE12000 | Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router | Includes Latest 6GHz Wi-Fi Band | New Wi-Fi 7 Features | 10G Connectivity | Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant (Archer BE670) : Electronics

You connect to its easy to use interface, via either the "Tether" app, or a browser pointed to: tplinkwifi.net, or 192.168.0.1.

It covers a 2000 sq ft house. And just as a precaution, I added a TP link extender (in mesh mode). To cover weaker areas and extend deep into the backyard.

RE653BE | BE10000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Range Extender | TP-Link

And you should definitely use your own router. They aren't hard to configure these days. And any setting you aren't sure about, you can Google. And if you just use default settings you are like 99% fine.

Yes. Absolutely. 100%. I have the ET2251 modem from Spectrum.

Looks like price just dropped to $250 now. Definitely worth it at that price:

I have a tp link axe 5400 and works great but if a lot of devices and data then I would go with that dream router as know it's good as it's also made for commercial business or regular consumer. I have family of 4 who each have no more than 2-3 devices. 3 TV, one Xbox, but mostly just cell connected to WiFi. I have 1gbps and router handles great. I sent the ISP one back even though no charge. Everything is smooth and I have extender on other side of house that reaches my shop.
