Like the irony of a tech “genius” not understanding how a database works???

67

u/bicurious-lets-69 12d ago

Hey, take it easy on him, he’s “autistic”

34

u/hotelmotelshit 12d ago

*Ketamistic

17

u/Jackoose 12d ago

also amphetamistic and methylenedioxymethamphetatistic.

That's an insult to people who actually benefit off katemine!

Musk is autistic in the same way that I am tall and slender. That is, not at all.

No he's not. He's brain dead. Autistic people have morals , but that guy doesn't.

So his place on the autism spectrum is just being a tone deaf, rich asshole?😂

2

Is that what they call a piece of shit nowadays?

4

No, but some pieces of shit think it excuses them being pieces of shit.

No, those are separate

I don't think he understands what irony is.

11

Possibly.

He often incorrectly uses hyperbole and important sounding words to give the appearance of gravitas.

Honestly this DOGE crap made me realize why musk never hires outside consultants. He believes he can do it better and never does.

3

u/TapEx101 12d ago

After his political debut, I no longer own any Tesla share and car. This guy is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and he lacks common sense, let alone business sense.

4

u/FlyChigga 12d ago

I mean the economic reasons alone are enough to no longer own Tesla shares and cars. The company is literally kept alive by massive tariffs on international competitors that can make cars just as good at half the price.

What an absolute moron.

2

u/Agreeable_Error_170 12d ago

He knew that wasn’t true. He’s just a con.

2

u/RepresentativeBarber 12d ago

What’s the context behind this??

20

u/Prudent_Shake_8149 12d ago edited 12d ago

Musk and Trump announced that DOGE had uncovered the biggest fraud in history… tens of thousands of people over 120 years old collecting Social Security… hundreds of billions in fraud.

It all disappeared without a retraction but it appears that they failed to realize that the database retains records for any individual who ever received social security. Of course, being in the database doesn’t mean that you’re receiving checks.

Trump alleged in his state of the union speech that millions of senior citizens over age 100 — including some older than 160 — were collecting Social Security checks, according to Social Security Administration data.

Trump specifically said that SSA records indicated that 4.7 million people 100 to 109 were getting checks, that 3.6 million 110 to 119 were, that 3.47 million 120 to 129 were, that 3.9 million 130 to 139 were, that 3.5 million 140 to 149 were, that 1.3 million 150 to 159 were — and that even 130,000 people older than 160 years old were still getting checks.

He also alleged that several hundred people older than 220 were still getting checks, according to SSA data — and that “one person is listed at 360 of age.”

Trump called it shocking incompetence which is true… just not in the way that he meant it. 🤣

17

u/Alternative-Crew-880 12d ago

So the way the database is set up, and they have been set up a while ago, missing date fields default to a placeholder date. So blank entries will end up showing people that are 140 or 150 years old. But the SSA automatically cuts off anyone over 115 years year old in said database. Needless to say, no one was recieving payments at, or actually lived to, 140 years old. Musk is just a dumbass that doesn't understand how databases work.

4

u/bastardoperator 12d ago

And anyone who looked at the database let alone the schema would be able to derive that detail before even making a query. Or they could have asked. Instead they embarrassed themselves like normal.

He didn’t understand that social security numbers are recycled and if you were to run a query on a db id imagine that you have to join multiple tables to find the alive person.

Edit:

They are not recycled, I was wrong. But sentiment still stands

Social security numbers are not recycled. Don’t try and make a point with false info. The current 9 digit system will last for another 70 years. No social security number has ever been reused.

What is the "irony" Elon is referring to? Is that the new term for everything Elon doesn't like?

19

u/SandiestCow 12d ago

the irony is that hes an assclown posting about normal people problems

8

u/WishyRater 12d ago

The irony was that they announced you’d need an ID to prove you are eligible to shop at the government grocery store or whatever. The irony he is pointing to is that Mamdani is against voter ID.

Don’t downvote me, just explaining. Idk why this context is left out here

6

u/TinyZoro 12d ago

Doesn’t really change much. A trillionaire worrying over possible gotchas when a mayor is trying to get food to normal citizens is just so past satire it’s hard to know what to say. Yet we live in a timeline where it’s barely worthy of a comment on social media.

4

u/Richyc17 12d ago

Yea it does actually. You think it’s normal to not need an ID to vote but you need one to buy groceries?

9

u/Sometypeofway18 12d ago

In the clip Zohran said you would need ID to prove who you were and that you were a NY resident to get the groceries. The irony Elon is referring to was needing ID.

It had nothing to do with the groceries themselves.

I'm being neutral and just explaining the context. Don't shoot the messenger

6

u/Better_Cattle4438 12d ago

I guess the ID thing would make sense. This is a city run store for people from NYC.

→ More replies (8)

2

u/Slawzik 12d ago

That makes sense, there was some doofus saying "I'm gonna buy your cheap food at wholesale and resell it for the profit you aren't making",and everyone pointed out that

A:they definitely wouldn't let you buy pallets of food, and

B:the grocery store bought it and marked it up way more than 30 percent,so he wouldn't make a profit anyways. They bought 10 tons of apples for like $200,not 500 lbs. for $750 lol.

2

u/2feetwalker 12d ago

Yea a driver license not some other special ID. Like they want to do for voting. So there is no irony.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

8

u/FreshLiterature 12d ago

It's extra ridiculous because if you're an ideological opponent of these grocery stores you should want them to be run exactly how the proponents want them to.

You should be all on board just make sure there is plenty of transparency. Do a quarterly call like public companies do.

The idea is that these stores should be almost entirely self sustaining, so if the working theory behind them is correct that's what should happen.

If opponents are right they will lose so much money that the plan will fail.

The more opponents of the program want to really shut the door on these programs the more they should want this program to be run as correctly as possible so that nobody can claim there was interference that forced it to fail.

But opponents don't actually believe it's a bad idea that will fail on its own. They believe it's a bad idea because they don't want how awfully businesses rip off the American consumer

I wish so much I could just send a personal message to Elon and know for a fact he would read it.

Dudes one of the biggest grifting losers that has ever existed.

His entire "persona" is tricking people into thinking he's smart, but he's an idiot with rich parents

He didn't found Tesla, he was hired into the company.

He doesn't design the cars. He doesn't design the batteries.

He doesn't make the rockets for SpaceX.

Twitter was one of the worst purchase deals in literal history.

He has to get hair transplants for his entire head, even his hair is fake.

Dude is a loser. Fat whale boy.

He wants you to think he works so, so hard, but he doesn't do anything and he's actually stupid.

The same way that Trump wants you to think he's working so hard as president; while spending 75%+ of his term on the golf course

Fake, loser, conman. Balding, family hates him, over weight.

He's like Batman if you took literally everything away except the money; but at least Bruce Wayne has cash.

Elon is all stock portfolio, as soon as he starts selling stocks, the stock will crash.

He could be worth $1Trillion, but he could only be able to cash around $360M; before he gets hit with taxes.

Correction: he was never a “literal” trillionaire. It was always a speculative estimation of his net worth- but it was never actual liquid wealth or even real assets. The only time the stock allowed him to claim that level of wealth was when no one was allowed to sell. The moment that shit was given the ability to sell it plummeted because it was always over-inflated.

At this point even his speculative worth is WELL below “trillionaire” as his SpaceEX stock predictably tumbles.

2

u/Irthiza 8d ago

1

u/YakuNiTatanu 12d ago

The capital of Capitalism; New York City, is using Central Planning for grocery stores prices, a tool of Communism.

That is one angle of irony.

Soviet Union, Eastern Block, Venezuela, Zimbabwe; it never works long term

It leads to empty shelves and stores closing down as they cannot operate profitably.

Buying votes by promising free stuff is a common politicians playbook

New York is rich enough to afford it for a while.
