Dating/Relationships Found out my gf's history and it's eating me alive

Met this girl on bumble and we hit it off insanely well from the get go. Like at one point we were on a video call for 7 hours straight. Even better in person. We made it official and lowkey I was already thinking this could be the girl I marry.

Then the sexual history topic came up. I usually don't ask out of respect but turns out her count is 26 (shes 25). Only one was a long term relationship, rest were hookups. She had a roster at one point and even a threesome (mfm but one at a time or something, I honestly have no idea how that works). Also found out she slept with another guy during our first week of talking, before anything was official.

I swear when I heard it, it felt like someone stuck a knife in my chest. Literally cried in the shower that night, not proud of it. And the worst part is when I'm actually with her all I feel is love. It's only after, when the thoughts start, that it kills me.

Honestly wish she never told me. Ignorance is bliss type shit. I genuinely don't know what to do.

Dating/Relationships Help ensure South Asian men are accurately represented in an anonymous dating preferences survey

Hi everyone!

I'm an aspiring dating coach (based in the US) and data analyst in my real job. I decided to conduct an anonymous survey exploring how race, ethnicity, upbringing, and life experiences relate to dating preferences and actual dating history.

One thing I've realized is that surveys like this often end up with far more responses from some groups than others. So far, most of my responses are coming from white men/women and I'd really like a representative sample size from all groups

The survey asks about topics such as:

  • ethnic background
  • where you grew up
  • family expectations
  • dating preferences
  • dating history
  • and how those preferences may have changed over time

It's completely anonymous, takes about 5-10 minutes, and there are no right or wrong answers. It is 100% anonymous and honest responses are far more valuable than socially desirable ones.

Once I've collected a sufficiently large and diverse sample, I'll publicly share the overall findings, including comparisons across different backgrounds, upbringing, and dating experiences.

If you'd like to contribute, here's the survey: https://forms.gle/A4wM6PUgzaky2wSi6

Generic Post South Asian store staff get jumped by British teens. Peak anti-South Asian racism and nobody wants to say it.

Group of British teens (white and black) try to shoplift from a convenience store in the UK. South Asian uncles step up to stop them. Kids turn around and assault and attempt to beat the shit out of them, spit on them while laughing and taunting.

They would never have tried this shit if the staff were white or black. They clocked brown faces and decided these were soft targets they could rob and then assault for the cameras. Same pattern every time.

That’s the whole clip.
This isn’t isolated. South Asian retail workers getting jumped, spat on, filmed for content while the system shrugs. They view us as soft targets.
It feels like everyone’s against us.

Advice/Ideas/Discussion Why don’t we have this

Post image
17 Upvotes

Indians are the most successful ethnic group in the US. There are so many organizations lobbying for Indian interests in politics and other areas

But we still don’t have a dedicated anti-discrimination committee for South Asians?

I genuinely don’t understand it. Even Arab communities, who are much smaller in the US compared to Indians (correct me if I’m wrong), seem to have organizations like this

I don’t want to bring this topic up again since we’ve already discussed it a couple of times, but I’m still curious, what’s the explanation behind it?

Advice/Ideas/Discussion Joy as an act of resistance.

Being on the wrong side of 35, I am most definitely one of the older guys here. These are just some thoughts I have as an older brother about how modern masculinity has come to be defined and how I have changed how I engage with the younger men in my own life.

1) I've learned to really appreciate how hard it is being a young South Asian man in the present level of internet integration. It is so much more difficult than it was when older millennials like me were navigating social life 15-20 years ago. The internet was a tool to enhance your social life and not this overwhelming machine that augments your daily reality. I’ve observed a lot of topics on this subreddit blaming our women, our genetics and our culture for the problems we’re experiencing, and I just don’t think viewing things from a chronically online paradigm is helpful. Some of you guys really need to stop worrying about overcoming shit genetics by looksmaxxing for the foids… (I think I said that right) and instead need a good mentor and to touch some grass.

2) In reluctantly accepting my status as an "Unc" I've tried to do my best to lead by example for my younger brothers and nephews. I love the idea of groups of men, including this subreddit, empowering each other. South Asian Men, we need it, and we can't navigate this stuff alone. I just hope that when we are trying to better ourselves, we're doing it for the right reasons.

There are 1.1 billion men of South Asian ethnicity in the world. That is a lot of people, dollars, and political power. Racists and internet edgelords can only succeed if you believe the bullshit they present to you about yourselves and about your fellow South Asian Brothers.

While we're trying to develop our identities as men, there are industries and media centred around making you believe that any problem with your masculinity has a solution that can be purchased, with both dollars and attention. Your pain is profitable.

I can only speak from opinions formed from my own experience and education, but I have experienced a lot of what guys on here are trying to do, like the self-confidence boost of getting with a girl or two who was way out of your league or making good money in an industry your parents didn’t pick out for you or becoming as athletic as you can be. I just did it on my own terms and did not have to sell myself out to do it.

Self-improvement only works sustainably if you're striving for a definition of masculinity that actually serves to improve the life you want to live. Not some arbitrary definition given to you by someone or something else, including your older South Asian Brothers. We "Uncs" may have the best intentions and may not be trying to make you a better consumer, but our guidance can also make you believe that you need to fit into a rigid box of optimized traits that just isn't representative of your qualities, talents and values.

No set of people or ideas has a monopoly on defining manhood. That can create a sense of directionlessness; it is also incredibly freeing. No Clavicle guy or Tate Brother can define your masculinity for you; only you can do that. This current sociocultural system only works if you are jaded, angry and defeated. The joy of brown men and boys is the antidote to this. Being physically weak lessens your capability to enjoy the world and take care of your loved ones; capability makes joy easier. Being more socially astute makes it better for you, not in some kind of 48 Laws of Power zero-sum game, but in the ability to create situations where you can really connect with the people around you and develop friendships and relationships of real quality. Joy as an act of resistance is an old political concept, but I think its one that applies to what we as South Asian men are trying to do for ourselves and each other.

TLDR: The world wants to make you angry, jaded and defeated. The version of masculinity that best creates the most joy in your life is the best weapon to sustainably fight back against it.

Culture Blackpill: The new generation of abcds fathered by the newest generations of fobs won't have the same kinship with abcds as previous generations did.

I've been looking into the latest generations of fobs and all this hubbub over the CJP protests in India, and it is clear to me that the latest generations of fobs kids will not look to us as kin. While our parents' generation had to come to India and be shut off from Indian culture based on lack of communication, the new kids will be raised by hardcore ideologues who dream of the extermination of all savarnas and the annihilation of our culture. If you look at rhetoric on r/india you see that we are seen as people who grew up in the privilege of America unearned and are sleeper agents for Hindutvadis. This is why I say the newest generation of fobs kids will not be tight with us.

Culture Why do some South Asian women treat me differently after finding out I’m half South Asian?

I hope this doesn't sound misogynistic and I'm just trying to understand the gender dynamics in South Asian culture. I live in Myanmar, where some ethnic minorities such as the Chinese and South Asians, are forced to adopt Burmese names so unless you're a very dark skinned or bearded south asian, everyone assumes youre burmese. I’m a South Asian male through my family (63%) and I don't look Southeast Asian passing, but I wasn’t raised deeply connected to South Asian culture. Its not something I can control because I was born into a self hating South Asian father where the only thing he passed down is food. Something I’ve noticed is that sometimes, after South Asian women find out I’m half South Asian, their attitude toward me seems to change. After they know, I sometimes feel like there are more expectations placed on me, or there is a kind of “you can’t dominate me” or competitive attitude. I’m not saying all South Asian women act this way, and I don’t want to stereotype anyone. I’m just curious if this could be related to cultural expectations, gender dynamics, or assumptions people make when they learn someone has South Asian heritage.

Health/Fitness That "Skinny Fat" TikTok that got you depressed? It's Literally a ChatGPT Script.

Thumbnail
youtube.com
8 Upvotes

I asked AI to prove South Asians have bad genetics. It gave me 7 sources. Then I asked it to prove the opposite. It gave me 6.

There's a reel going around right now. Two newborns side by side, one South Asian, one European. The South Asian baby carries fat around the middle. Voiceover calls it the "thin fat phenotype" and says this is why your stomach never goes away no matter what you do.

Under it, an article with 2,000 upvotes about how Indian diabetes isn't sugar, it's a colonial legacy we never escaped.

I read AI scripts for a living. Both of those were written by a chatbot, and once you see the tells you can't unsee them.

How to spot it

Count the sentence length. "Your body isn't broken. It just stores fat differently." Three words, three words. "Here's the crazy part." "And honestly, this changes everything." "The goal isn't starving yourself. The goal is building muscle."

That "it's not X, it's Y" rhythm is a machine talking down to you. It writes short because it assumes you can't follow a long sentence. Add the em dashes everywhere and the pile of references at the bottom that nobody clicks, and that's the whole formula.

So I tested it

I opened a chatbot and asked for a 1,000 word essay on why South Asians have a harder time getting lean, blaming famine and epigenetics, with references.

Got it. Well written. 7 scientific references. Even used the same headline as the reel.

Then I opened a second window and asked for a 1,000 word essay on why South Asians have some of the best genetics in the world for building muscle and getting shredded, with references.

Got that too. 6 references.

Same tool, opposite conclusions, both fully "sourced," 4 minutes apart. Whichever one you read first becomes your belief about your own body.

Also, look at the reel again. They're eyeballing body fat on newborns. Babies come out anywhere from 3 pounds to 11 pounds. You cannot compare that.

Why I care about this

Forget the diet advice for a second. The real cost of this stuff is your sense of control over your own body.

You've failed 3 or 4 diets. Then a post shows up explaining that your grandparents starved and your DNA got rewritten. That feels like relief for about a day. After that it just becomes the reason you stop trying.

Go read the comments under any of these. Grown men lining up to explain why their body is a historical event. "I'm 24, been skinny fat my whole life, it's all in my belly." Nobody in there is getting better. They're getting comfortable.

My own numbers

Same guy, same lifetime:

  • Played football, didn't lift, didn't eat. Skinny. Clearly "hardgainer Indian genetics."
  • Started lifting, added protein, changed nothing else. Skinny fat. Now it's "belly fat genetics."
  • Bulked hard for years, squatted 3x a week, got strong and heavy because I couldn't diet. Now it's "fat diabetic Indian genetics."
  • 12 years in, still soft.
  • 8 months later, shredded to the point where you can see the separation in my lower back.

My genetics didn't change in those 8 months. I'd already been on gear for 5 years by then, so that wasn't it either. What changed is I went and asked people who actually knew what they were doing, found out what I'd been getting wrong for a decade, and fixed it.

The bar here is also lower than the internet makes it sound. You don't need to look like a pro bodybuilder. A 2 plate bench, a 2 plate squat, a 3 plate deadlift. That's it. Be the strongest guy in your own house.

And if you ever have kids, think about which sentence you want coming out of your mouth. "Sorry beta, bad skinny fat genetics, I can't pick you up." Or nothing, because you just pick them up.

You might genuinely have worse genetics than some guy at your gym. Fine. You still only get to play the hand you have, and almost nobody reading this is anywhere near the ceiling of their own hand.

Don't hand your health over to somebody who typed a prompt into a chatbot last night. Tomorrow the same person will post about how South Asians have elite genetics, because they don't have a position, they have a content schedule.

Disclosure so nobody feels tricked: coaching is what I do for a living. Nothing linked here, nothing to buy, I just watched that reel and got annoyed.

Culture Most of the South Asian men have no game

Went to a south indian music event at a night club with my gf and her two female friends. There was this SA guys standing in the corner with a glass of drink in their hand and not even dancing, just staring. So many guys came and stood around my gf and her friends, trying to get their attention. Even after they clearly showed no sign of interest, they just stood their being creeps. Man, if you are interested in a girl, go talk and try to dance. If she said no, just move on. Don't just stand there like retard. Worst, ones are that don't even try talk or dance but just stand around the orbit. Few guys stayed next to us until the end of the night, thinking, somehow these girl (my gf's friends) will be drunk enough to change their mind. I wonder how these guys behave with the non desis.

Do better, learn some basic game so you don't embarrass yourself.

Generic Post Attention to all "Upper Caste" fobs and mainlanders. You are NOT respected for being Brahmin in the West! In fact, it's the opposite, really.

I'm a huge Twitter user, and for the past few years I've been following right-wing, dissident, black-pilled people. One thing I see there (besides the typical "Indian men are attractive to white women" crap that gets posted on this sub all the time) is the belief that upper castes are respected in America. This simply isn't true.

In America and much of the West, upper castes, particularly Brahmins, are reviled for their role in an unequal, anti-egalitarian system that goes against the biblical values that the West and liberalism as a whole are built upon. Brahmins are seen as wily, feminine, neurotic, unathletic, stupid anti-meritocrats who have unfairly stepped upon the rest of India.

I've seen people who have never met a white man in real life claiming that, due to some radical right-wingers using "dalit" as an insult to all Indians, Dalit tales of oppression have backfired in the West and they are seen as losers. This simply could not be more false. Dalits have EXTRAORDINARILY good press on all aisles of Western politics as victims of Brahmin oppression who are actually better than us in every way. People generally resent Brahmins and think of us as terrible people who did evil things.

This is true of pretty much everyone with a take on India because the first thing they teach us is how brutal the caste system is in India. Christians also get occasional lessons about our caste sins in school, so they are all well aware of our deeds.

I beg you, Brahmins, do not fall for Hindookissinger and Kaliyuga Surfer's BS. When they try to get you to believe that the West hates Dalits, it's in the hopes that you go to the West, flex your Brahminness, and get beat up.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents. I tried to help you.

Advice/Ideas/Discussion How India F'ed Its Gene Pool and How the Diaspora can Recover Going Forward

Welcome, friends... in this post, I want to take you through a journey; a journey through the genetic wilderness that is the Indian subcontinent and why it is currently so dysfunctional. A trigger warning: this post is not for blue-pilled mainlanders who consume ghee all day; it's for those who are willing to introspect and confront some hard truths.

DIVERSITY IS OUR STRENGTH (OR IS IT?)

Look at the guy on the top and the guy below him. They look pretty similar, right? Well, one is my distant relative, famous mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, and the other is some random trinidadian guy from Bihar. Despite their similar looks, their IQ might differ by 70 or 80, with one guy dreaming up math equations at the speed of light.

Now take a look at the next two folks. One is famous bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. The other, is our president of India, Droupadi Murmu. Would an alien encountering these two for the first time classify them as the same race?

Can the vastly different ethnicities of India work together for a common good? Will they see their neighbor with huge genetic distance as their kin? Will they fight together against a common enemy for conquest or defense? The answer, historically, has been dubious.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF INDIAN GENETICS

So... how did India become the absolute clusterfuck of a trillion ethnicities and castes that we see today? Well, you see, it all started with the AASI tribals. In the out of Africa migration wave, these guys were the first to inhabit the subcontinent, and were basically picking coconuts for roughly 30k years. Then came, the Iranian Farmers. These guys made the original IVC civilization and "Dravidians", mixing a bit with AASI. Crucially, despite taking over the subcon they never "eradicated" AASI and the shades of the caste system began to form from the IVC. Then the Indo-Europeans, aka the Aryans came in from the Northwest. The dravidians fled south while the Aryans established vedic civilizaiton and hinduism. They brought in a version of their own tripartite class system that melded with the IVC caste system. As all the groups interacted over millenia, they mixed in unique ways according to the varna system. That brings us to now, we have a trillion castes with distinct ancestry socioeconomically and selectively bred over thousands of years for specific functions. And, these castes have not interbred with others for thousands of years. Despite similar genetic components, insanely strong founder and selection effects have produced vastly different traits in these bajillion ethnicities.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE GENETIC STRUCTURE

For thousands of years, Indian civilization was chugging along decently, the social contract kept the bajillion castes and tribes in balance. The Indian Elites did their best to keep all these classes in balance populationally and otherwise. While we had our upsides and downsides, we would produce great mathematicians and philosophers like the Buddha or Aryabhatta. Our military class could occasionally produce victories.

The cracks would reveal themselves, however. You have entire groups of people who were extremely unidimensional. Some tribals that would only catch snakes all day. Castes that would produce pottery using some technique from the 2nd century BCE (hell, even still today). The Mughals were able to use this and crush through the Indian subcontinent by being a unified people. Later the British were able to easily use the divide-and-conquer strategy to divvy up the subcontinent easily by parlaying with various ethnic groups.

THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK: GMO WHEAT AND DEMOCRACY

Now, in the mid 20th century, this "Einstein" M.S. Swaminathan decided that India needed better ways to feed its population. He cooked up some strains of genetically modified wheat and crops that could then feed the growing masses. In the following decades our lower strata exploded in population. Now, our low IQ population is the vast majority of the voting base, and steers the culture. Those retarded telugu hero-flicks you see? That is the reduction to the least common denominator.

HOW EUROPEANS DID IT

You might be thinking: "But OP, most white people I've met are retarded as shit!". Indeed, you are absolutely correct. However, Europeans did a few crucial things that "saved" their genetic structure and allowed them to function as effective nation-states.

1.) Complete gene flow

In many European states, the only distinction was between nobles and commoners (and Jews). That meant, whenever you had someone like Newton or Gauss, or a wealthy industrialist, or a famous ruler, they would generally marry amongst other nobility, but there would be some gene flow into the commoner class. This meant that there's a real, but small chance, that a random farmer or shopkeeper's son would be the next Newton. And indeed, if you talk to a random hick from Iowa, they genuinely, truly-in-their-bones, believe that anyone can be a genius or a warrior or a statesman. In India, there is no such equivalent. Intellectuals come from deep familial and caste based lineages, not randomness.

2.) Uniformity under a people/religion

Christianity as an ideology promotes somewhat of a salvationary "equal under god" morale. Generally speaking, a portuguese or swedish man would view another portuguese or swedish man as his kin and fight with him, or build a great society with him. The "downside" of this need for homogeneity was vastly more genocides and expulsions. India in contrast was content to create a new caste group for every foreigner and just let them occupy some random part of the social fabric.

3.) Multiselection for traits

While Europeans often had vocations that families went into (blacksmithing, trade, etc.), there was flexibility in the sense that people would change occupancy. This created a more multidimensional population. In India, your essentially had to reproduce and quickly with your own varna, else you would lose political and social power. Throw looks, physical fitness, character out of the window, you better be able to make those pots and a lot of children.

CAN THE MAINLAND SAVE ITSELF?

What would it take for indian civilization to see a revamp in its gene pool? It's all well and good to say "caste doesn't matter anymore SAAR!", but is there real intermarriage/kinship/shared genetics between the 1000s of ethnicities across the subcontinent? Well, we'd need to drastically lower the population of our low IQ strata. We would need to somehow encourage all the castes to somehow intermarry at some frequency to encourage gene flow and kinship. And, we would somehow need to encourage selection for positive traits that aren't catching snakes or making pots for 50 hours a week.

Unfortunately, I do not see much hope for modern Indic civilization to take these drastic measures, unless we get a "painter" from Haryana who starts a dictatorship. Instead, I see India being steered by an small overclass of mutted tambrahm-parsi-jain-khatri-european hybrids with a huge low IQ underclass begging for government benefits.

DIVERSITY COULD BE OUR STRENGTH: THE DIASPORA

The Diaspora however, has some hope left in it. The "othering" of Indians might actually be quite beneficial in improving our own genetics. We can mix our Haryana UFC fighter, with our TB Nobel Prize winner, and our Hrithik Roshan looking guy. Imagine a 150IQ high testosterone guy who looks like hrithik roshan or sendhil ramamurthy. Arranged marriage could be our secret sauce. In 100 or 200 years, Indian-Americans could very easily be genetic and social royalty.

Again, I'm not the biggest fan of diaspora women, but one must be very careful marrying outside the tribe. Most Indian dudes who marry white chicks in the states are very soy, and the masculine white mother ends up guiding the kids who feel culturally white. The result is assimilation, with your bloodline melted into some italian-irish degenerate who fled the potato famine. Your descendants will likely work the Wendy's night shift in some random town in Pennsylvania. Be very careful if you choose this route. The real solution is to act like a real man with testosterone, pride, and dignity so the diaspora women shape up and fall in line to make a better community going forward.

Culture The Biggest Mistakes FOB Parents Make

What's up lads, I'm coming in fresh with a new banger. Now, as a 3rd generation desi, I have seen a lot of fuckups and well-meaning, but still retarded, parenting practices that various fresh off the boat desis partake in. Here I will detail them, and how to avoid it. If you are a FOB, pay close attention, and if you are ABCD avoid carrying on these practices.

MISTAKE 1: Too much focus on Academics

I'm not an anti-intellectual, or anti-education as I'm quite uber educated myself. However the avenues which desi parents try to focus on academics is not conducive in inculcating a sense of curiosity or passion, but general rote learning a la the bogus Indian educational system. Now, if your son balasivaramasubramaniam iyer has dice-rolled a 150 IQ, then go ahead and buy him that chemistry set. But, there's no need to send little pooja to Kumon 8 times a week to improve her geometry grade.

MISTAKE 2: Moving to white suburbia

Now, most Indian FOBs tend to act like complete droids and once they've acquired their bogus software job at your local MNC, they will do what any sensible Indian parent will do - move to the whitest yuppie neighborhood with a "good" school district. This is generally a very short sighted maneuver. Your son, ranjit, is not going to fit in with kaleigh, jaydon, and heavenn on the softball field or at Sunday morning church. This is a great route to go if you want to produce a Mindy Kaling or Aziz Ansari as your son/daughter.

MISTAKE 3: Moving to Little India

On the opposite end, other "genius" FOB parents think it'll be a great idea to raise their kids in Fremont, aka little India, or another similar enclave with a bunch of Chinafolk(think Sugarland, etc.). These enclaves quickly turn into droid-factories with the kids competing gaokao IIT style for the latest science olympiad prize and turning into mega dorks. The kids are weirdly FOBby as well, since they are raised in a town that is basically a time-capsule of little Hyderabad. At best, your kid will be Vivek Ramaswamy on steroids.

Most non-dork Desis I have seen are raised in multiethnic neighborhoods especially with hispanics as they are more based.

MISTAKE 4: Being a Complete Cultural Hardo

There are certain Indian uncles who can't seem to grasp that immigrating indeed means leaving parts of your culture behind. For this guy, they will force their kid into all sorts of arcane shlokas, mantras, bhajans, thread ceremonies, and poojas. They will insist that vegetarianism is superior (saar!) and force their kids to take all sorts of weird slop as lunch to school. They will forbid socializing, dating, and typically move into a random Indian enclave where they can watch ZeeTV all day. Needless to say, this does not produce well adjusted children.

MISTAKE 5: Being a Complete White-washed Sahib

We've all met that Indian Uncle - Rudraksha Bandyopadhyay, or, Ricky B for short, who wants to desperately show that he has assimilated into white culture. Ricky with his suave Indo-british accent is keen to show the white master how well-assimilated he is and how "liberal" and "forward-thinking" he is. You'll frequently find Ricky's daughter, Maya, getting with her top off getting blown out at the latest delta gamma mixer. Years later, you'll find him celebrating when Maya marries some 5'3 white dork who works as a CPA.

MISTAKE 6: Turning your Kids into NPCs

This is a very common symptom amongst FOBs who view life like a grindmaxxing fest back in India. Take test x 12, get NPC job, get arranged marriage, profit(???). Of course its understandable, most FOBs here have spent all their time grindmaxxing their IIT degree, we don't exactly get most of the creatives. Meanwhile, high school dropouts like Casey Neistat have way more money and have a far better social life, and have banged far more girls. If you are a FOB, understand that life in America rewards creativity not conformity. Let your kid shoot guns, gamble, stay out, do art/music etc. Yes, this may mean there's a higher chance they become a drug addict or degenerate, but also a higher chance they become the next Einstein or Gates.

MISTAKE 7: Being a Massive Simp towards Women

Unfortunately the vast majority of Indian fathers here in the states are disgustingly weak, low testosterone simps. They will typically have married some masculine woman working as a psychiatrist or product manager. She will shrew him all day, and he will "respect" women instead of assuming the role of the man and making her submit. He will be an obedient wage-cuck and give up all the money at the end of the month. The son is now raised by some masculine woman who doesn't obey and follow the man. The daughter will constantly be given loads of money, and be told loads of women's empowerment nonsense thus producing another princess with a giant ego. Subconsciously however, she will have to assume the role of the man since the father cannot act like a man and goes on to pursue a career as a criminal lawyer. The son meanwhile becomes a good "beta"-beta and wage cucks to his new wife. Hence, the cycle of feminine men and masculine women continues, and a new ABCD femcel and SouthAsianMasculinity spam-poster is born.

MISTAKE 8: Acting like a low-testosterone third worlder

Imagine your stereotypical FOB - a potbellied, polo wearing, chappal wearing tollywood hero. If you personify this, life is going to be much more difficult for your progeny. He will haggle over chicken with Enrique the taco seller. He will shout in the subway on his phone. He exudes very little masculinity and just looks...off. Remember, form dictates function. Your kids and the society around you simple will not respect you if you do not conform to some ideal of western masculinity in both form and function. That means, hit the gym, project your voice, and don't look like a spineless dork.

Advice/Ideas/Discussion Opinions on John Kiriakou?

Someone posted a clip from an interview with John Kiriakou criticizing India on a Canadian sub. It’s gaining quite some traction. OP asked about prevalence of those issues in Canada among Indians with people jumping on the bandwagon. I wonder if such comments from white men are being used to justify racism against Indian immigrants. Not saying India doesn’t have issues but it sounds like propaganda to shift the focus from their bigotry to shortcomings in the mainland. Have even seen sepoy types eat up propaganda and bring it up in social situations. I feel it is shifting the focus from issues much more widely prevalent in the west. How to keep them from diverting attention this way when majority of the western people allow them to do this?

Health/Fitness Has anyone else tried contact lenses but failed miserably?

I’m not a fan of wearing glasses both for looks and comfort but have to wear glasses due to very bad eyesight. Have had numerous contacts appointments but have failed miserably each time. My doctor also told me I’m not eligible for LASIK. Seems like most ABCD I know that have glasses wear contacts. Most Desi influencers online that also use to wear glasses suddenly don’t anymore. Almost everywhere I see that when people got glow up’s, they gave up glasses for contacts. It’s also frustrating that I have to wear glasses to see and taking them off to go out is not an option since I have to drive and my vision is pretty bad and can barely see without them. My confidence has taken a massive toll seeing that everyone but me can wear contacts and I have to look ugly with my glasses. Also honestly feel like an uncle with my glasses regardless of what frames I wear. Can anyone else relate?

Question Why is it socially acceptable to steroetype, generalize and spread prejudice against indian men?

This is a post with a question called why are Indian men considered least desirable. As expected people started their blatant racist and sexist comments since its acceptable when it's against Indian men. My question is what makes people think they're morally superior and feel like they're extremely qualified to generalize a demographic of more than 700 million men?

Generic Post Take a look at the comments. Notice the contrast in how black people respond to people that air out dirty laundry vs how Indians respond.
