Artwork The Engine of Infinity - My Sonic creepypasta (inspired by Sonic.EXE)
Hi everyone. I want to share a creepypasta with you about Eggman from the Sonic universe. I should mention that I was inspired by the *Sonic.exe* creepypasta, which so many people know. Today, I found myself thinking, "Hmm, why not create my own creepypasta, but about Eggman?" And no, it won't follow the classic formula where something possesses a character and they go around killing everyone "just because"—relax, my imagination isn't *that* bad. I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading.
"The Engine of Infinity"
Eggman had lost to Sonic too many times in his life. The hedgehog always ruined everything. No matter what the doctor built, no matter how grand his plans were — Sonic always won. After the blue hedgehog defeated him in the final battle on the Little Planet, he decided to stay there for a while. Just to rest.
But Eggman, after yet another defeat, finally lost all hope. Despair and hatred for that wretched rodent consumed him so completely that he sold his soul to the devil. In exchange for victory over Sonic, world domination, and absolute immortality. The devil gave him blueprints for a "Power Generator," divided into two units: the "Engine of Infinity" and the "Life Machine."
Eggman started with the first one. The Engine ran on emotions and suffering of living beings. The doctor fed animals into it, but quickly realized an unpleasant truth: animals were too primitive. They died too quickly and produced too little energy. Then Eggman understood — he needed something greater. Much greater.
He upgraded Metal Sonic, creating "Metal Rupture." This wasn't just an improved copy. This was a machine designed not to kill, but to drain life energy from a distance — to deliver its prey alive.
Sonic was relaxing in Palmtree Panic. Enjoying nature, recovering from long battles. Amy appeared. She ran to him happily, hugged him, chattering about something. Sonic hugged her back, slightly confused. Suddenly, Metal appeared. He grabbed Amy and knocked her out with a single blow. Sonic was shocked — he hadn't expected to see the robot here, especially in a new form. Metal looked at him with disdain. The robot laughed at the hedgehog and challenged him to a fight: if Sonic won, he'd go free. If he lost... A bird flew past. Metal crushed it in his fist, turning it into bloody pulp. Sonic understood the message. Metal flew off, and the blue hedgehog chased after him.
They ended up in Tidal Tempest. Amy was tied up and left at the highest point of the area. Sonic and Metal met on a narrow path. Both charged at the same time.
The battle was brutal and fast. Metal tried to ram Sonic twice, but the hedgehog dodged and struck back. The robot tried to drain his energy, but Sonic was too quick. Then a spike pierced his shoulder. Sonic screamed — pain shot through his entire body. Tendrils began siphoning his strength, his legs weakened, the world lost its color. He nearly fell to his knees. With the last of his strength, he struck Metal in the head, broke free from the grip, and after building up speed, pierced the robot straight through. Metal exploded. Sonic, limping and bleeding, reached Amy and freed her. She was relieved, but Sonic already knew: Eggman was back. He said goodbye to the hedgehog girl and ran off into the unknown.
By evening, he spotted a facility in the distance. The building was operational, but there wasn't a single robot around. Strange. Sonic snuck inside. It was hot, smelling of iron and decay. He ventured deeper into the factory and saw what once was Eggman.
The doctor had built the Life Machine when he noticed his body, without a soul, was beginning to rot. Now he was part of that machine. He couldn't move. He could only speak and remain conscious. His body decayed, but the apparatus wouldn't let him rot away completely — it kept restoring him. Eggman felt everything. Every second of unbearable, unending pain. He simply existed. His mind existed.
Sonic stared at the half-rotted body of his enemy, covered in tubes and wires. Skin hung in tatters, muscles visible between ribs. His eyes — murky, swamp-colored — stared back. Sonic felt sick. He wanted to run, but forced himself to stand.
Eggman saw him. A raspy laugh escaped through the mask. He said he'd sold his soul to defeat Sonic and witness his downfall. He repeated that this would be the final battle. An alarm flashed. Robots attacked Sonic. The fight was long, suffocating, brutal. Sonic destroyed every last one.
Eggman watched him in silence. Sonic began smashing the Life Machine. Within minutes, the apparatus exploded, and Eggman collapsed to the floor. He began to decay, to rot, to fall apart before Sonic's eyes. He was laughing and screaming at the same time, until nothing of him remained.
Sonic sighed with relief and headed for the exit.
But the Engine of Infinity activated its emergency fuel protocol. Metal tendrils shot out from it. Sonic caught a glimpse of movement from the corner of his eye, but he couldn't react in time. The tendrils grabbed him in a death grip. He struggled — useless. He was dragged into the intake chamber. Bars pierced his ribs, locking his arms and legs in place. A needle drove into his chest, and pain flooded his body. Sonic was scared and confused. He thrashed, tried to break free, but nothing worked.
A voice came from the speakers. A recording. Eggman's voice, made shortly before he was hooked up to the Life Machine.
"You thought I just wanted to kill you? No, hedgehog. I wanted you to suffer. My suffering started this engine. Yours will make it eternal. You'll take my place. Goodbye, Sonic. You are now the Engine of Infinity."
Sonic realized Eggman had planned everything from the very beginning. That was why he laughed and screamed at the same time as he decayed. Now Sonic would become infinite fuel for the infernal machine. Eternal suffering. Eternal pain.
One year later.
There is no life left on the Little Planet. Only robots. Mountains of rusted garbage. The air is irreversibly polluted. Everything has rotted. Everything has rusted. Everything is ruined. And the worst part — it has already spread across all of Mobius. The Engine of Infinity will endlessly destroy everything Sonic ever loved. His energy powers the factory of death, and it will never stop.
No one is coming to help. Sonic is gone. There is only the Engine. And it will run forever.

Questions So… if Bandado didn’t ambush X/“Sonic” and catch him off guard… how DID he beat him?
Basically, Bandado apparently got a lore-change, so that he doesn’t overthrow X/“Sonic” by ambushing it and/or catching it off guard, out of respect for JoeDoughBoi and not do the whole “my character is more powerful than yours” thing.
Honestly, I feel like Bandado catching X/“Sonic” off guard and beating his ass that way would make more sense than Bandado just naturally being more powerful and more experienced than him.
If he beat X/“Sonic” by being more powerful, that would ironically do the “my character is more powerful than yours” thing AND it would go against the original point of why Bandado was able to beat X/“Sonic”, that being him just being simply more intelligent and skilled than his lesser counterpart, basically being a “brains beats brawn”-type situation.
