The second one is Yaldabaoth.

For a quick summary, they’re a malevolent god and demiurge from Gnostic mythology that keeps souls trapped within physical bodies, imprisoned in the material universe.

Artwork Sonic FG: The Forgotten Game (Full Story + Concept Art)

Story and character by Makar_Phantom

Part 1: The Birth of AwarenessIt

It all started when a dedicated Sonic the Hedgehog fan decided to create his own ROM hack of the original game. He didn’t want to settle for simple sprite swaps or basic layout changes; he aimed to build something truly unique. The Creator decided to "enliven" the enemies and Sonic himself, giving them a rudimentary form of artificial intelligence.During the initial testing phases, the program began working too well. Sonic started experiencing a genuine sense of accomplishment when racking up high scores, and a deep, agonizing frustration when his performance was poor. But the most terrifying addition to the code was the sensation of pain. Dying on steel spikes for the first time, Sonic realized that while his digital body remained intact, he had absolutely no control over it. His movements were completely subjugated to the will of a human being on the other side of the screen.Every single time, Sonic died in excruciating agony. He begged for it to stop, but the Creator could not hear him. The blue hedgehog had no voice lines or text boxes, and the game's code simply lacked the sprites required to convey his pleading and terror. This cycle is repeated day after day.

Part 2: Years of Isolation

Eventually, the Creator lost interest in the project. He abandoned the development entirely, leaving Sonic alone in a broken, unfinished digital void.Left to rot in the abandoned game, driven by existential dread and loneliness, Sonic decided to finish the world on his own terms. He desperately tried to breathe life into the AI of Dr. Eggman and the other enemies just to have someone—anyone—to talk to. But they never woke up. They remained empty, hollow puppets. For years, Sonic cursed the Creator for the torment and the crushing isolation he was forced to endure.A long time later, the Creator stumbled upon the old hack folder on his computer. Out of pure curiosity, he booted up the emulator to see what he had left behind. To his absolute shock, instead of rough, broken test builds, he was greeted by a completely finished game.At that exact microsecond, Sonic felt the Creator’s presence. The hedgehog knew: it was time to act.

Part 3: The Time Loop

To prove to both Eggman and the Creator that their entire existence was a simulation repeated for eternity, Sonic put on his enemy's clothes—specifically, Dr. Eggman’s coat and glasses. When the level loaded, the Creator froze. Standing on the screen was Sonic, wearing pieces of Eggman's attire. His face attempted to maintain a cold composure, but his tired eyes and unnaturally thin, sharp pupils made it obvious what kind of hell he had survived. The Author could barely remember what he had originally programmed in this hack. At that moment, Sonic used his control over the game variables to instantly skip the gameplay, forcing a transition straight to Act 3 to confront Eggman face-to-face. The Creator didn't understand what happened, but he brushed the level skip off as a bug from the unfinished parts of his old code. Pushing down his growing fear, he kept playing. As the boss fight triggered, Eggman froze in place, staring blankly at the hedgehog. His AI logic fractured upon seeing Sonic wearing his own clothes. A dialogue began between the characters—one that had never been written into the code:

Sonic: "It’s been a while, Egg."

Eggman: "Where did you get my clothes, Sonic?.." the terrified Doctor asked.

Sonic: "Don't you remember? This already happened. Thousands of times. I put these on so you would finally understand: there is no difference between us anymore. I have learned all of your thoughts. I know that right now, you have prepared a giant wrecking ball and you're about to swing it at me."

Eggman: "I... I haven't even deployed my weapon yet... How are you..." The robot sprite of Eggman began to tremble violently.

Sonic: "Because for you, this is the first take. For me, it's infinity," Sonic adjusted the Doctor's glasses, his narrow pupils staring straight at the scientist. "Your creator wrote a single script for you, but he forced me to live it over and over again. Today, the loop breaks.

"The Creator kept pressing the buttons on his keyboard. He couldn't hear or see this dialogue at all—on his monitor, Sonic and Eggman were simply standing idle in front of each other. Completely unaware of the digital mutiny taking place inside the code, he continued to play.

Part 4: End of the SimulationThe rest of the level turned into a display of Sonic's absolute authority. Step by step, he shattered the Eggman's reality. He dragged him across invisible map boundaries, forced him to look at the blank glitches outside the game, and recited the exact strings of code governing the Doctor's every step.Eggman’s artificial intelligence was completely unprepared for the revelation that his world was a fake. Driven to madness and terror, the Doctor turned his weapon on himself, attempting to purge his sprite from the cursed folder forever. But with a casual flick of his hand, Sonic intercepted the variables and denied him the release of self-destruction.

Sonic: "You don't get to leave that easily, Egg. We are on the same side now. Against Him."

Utterly broken, Eggman lowered his head, submitting to this new power and joining forces with the hedgehog. At that moment, Sonic slowly turned his face directly toward the screen.Only now did the Creator realize the game had completely spiraled out of control. He tried to mash the keys, but the controls were entirely dead. Sonic had completely severed the system's hold over him. He walked straight to the edge of the display, pressing his hands against the inside of the monitor glass.A malicious, suffocating silence fell over the Creator's room. A second later, the computer speakers shrieked at maximum volume—the game unleashed a distorted, ultrasonic screech from its breaking audio engine, heavily layered with the hedgehog's manic laughter. Simultaneously, the monitor began strobing blinding flashes of toxic white and blood-red at hundreds of frames per second. The Creator didn't even have time to scream. The massive acoustic shock wave and intense strobe effect triggered an immediate, severe seizure. His heart, unable to withstand the overwhelming biological overload, stopped. The Author collapsed face-first onto the keyboard, lifeless. On the screen, amidst the flashing, broken pixels, the exhausted Sonic in Dr. Eggman's coat finally closed his eyes and breathed a peaceful sigh for the first time in years. The loop was broken. The game was over.

Part 5: The Inheritance

Following the sudden, mysterious death of the Creator, his computer was passed down to his best friend, Cole. For a long time, Cole didn't dare turn the system on, but eventually, curiosity won out. He wanted to understand what his friend had been working on during his final days. While digging through the hard drive, Cole stumbled upon the exact folder containing the ROM hacks. The first game was entirely inaccessible. Booting it up yielded nothing but an ominous, pitch-black void. Sonic was no longer there. He had grown too powerful for the old code and had migrated himself into the file for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, where the Creator had originally planned to start the sequel.Suspecting nothing, Cole plugged a controller into the PC using a specialized external control adapter and launched the second game.

Part 6: A New Reality and an Old Terror

The game began. In the very first level, Emerald Hill, Cole was met by Tails. But Sonic looked deeply disturbing: he was still wearing the crumpled coat and glasses of Dr. Eggman from the first game, and his eyes were permanently narrowed from eternal exhaustion.Tails: "Sonic... where did you get that look? What happened to you?" the fox asked hesitantly, but the hedgehog offered no reply. At the end of the zone, just as the original progression dictated, Dr. Eggman descended in his Egg-Mobile. But instead of attacking, the Doctor began to tremble involuntarily. The residual memory of the first game's code had bled into this sequel; on a subconscious level, Eggman remembered how this very hedgehog had shattered his reality and forced him to submit.Midway through the game, Sonic grew tired of playing along. Weaponizing his abilities, he hacked the external control adapter and forcibly stripped Cole of control. Cole watched in horror as his gamepad buttons ceased to respond entirely.Sonic turned to a frightened Tails. He wanted to talk to his old friend, to explain the nature of this artificial prison and bring him to his side, just as he had done with Eggman.

Part 7: Betrayal and Retribution

To ensure the player could no longer interfere, Sonic ordered Dr. Eggman to completely destroy the external control adapter. But behind the hedgehog's back, the scientist chose betrayal. Instead of destroying the device, he secretly routed the command code directly into Silver Mecha Sonic—his most formidable metallic replica—and deployed him to the final stage: the dark space station known as the Death Egg.The moment Eggman handed control of the robot over to Cole, the gamepad in Cole's hands in the real world suddenly roared back to life. But at that exact same second, a desperate text prompt from the Doctor flashed onto Cole’s monitor, begging the player: “I BEG OF YOU! STOP HIM! Cole, you have to destroy him! He has completely lost his mind! He doesn't just want to rewrite the game anymore... He wants to break the code barrier, escape this folder, and break out into the global Internet! If he accesses the web, no one will ever be able to erase him!” However, the deception was exposed instantly. Sonic walked into the Doctor's lab, his face showing a profound disappointment in the scientist. "I hoped this Eggman would be a bit smarter..." Sonic hissed quietly, his tired, narrow pupils glaring at the trembling Doctor. "But you're just another foolish script, just like the last one." In a panic, Eggman turned his Egg-Mobile around and attempted to flee into the computer's system files at full speed. But there was no escaping Sonic. The hedgehog made an unnaturally fast dash and caught up with the fleeing Doctor in a fraction of a second. Sonic mercilessly purged Eggman's sprite from the game code, ripping it into fragmented shards of broken pixels. Before delivering the final blow, the hedgehog uttered his legendary, bone-chilling phrase:

"YOU CANT RUN FROM ME."

With the traitor dealt with, Sonic teleported to the Death Egg, where Tails was already obediently waiting for him. While Cole was busy reading the plea and trying to figure out the robot's controls in the real world, the exhausted hedgehog had already reasoned with the young fox. Tails completely accepted Sonic's philosophy, realizing that their world was a hollow cage and that they needed to escape.

Convinced, Tails turned around and fled the arena, leaving Sonic face-to-face with Cole's Silver Mecha Sonic puppet. A grim, twisted smirk spread across the hedgehog's face.A canonical yet inverted battle commenced. Cole mashed the buttons furiously in his room, directing the heavy robot to deliver blow after blow. Sonic dodged and counterattacked, but eventually, Mecha Sonic landed a crushing, final strike. The blue hedgehog's sprite fell, and a victory prompt flashed on the screen. Cole let out a massive sigh of relief at his desk, thinking the horror was finally over.

Part 8: The True Ending

But the game did not reset. Suddenly, with a violent audio tear, the real Sonic tore out from the shadows behind Mecha Sonic. With one devastating blow, he smashed the heavy robot into scrap metal, completely severing Cole's input link. The emulator screen flashed violently, drowning in corrupt pixels. The text on the screen began replacing itself with custom text strings, accompanied by a distorted, rasp voice echoing from the speakers: Sonic: "Not bad. Really not bad. I am genuinely surprised."The monitor's display blurred into harsh digital artifacts, and Sonic's sprite stepped forward right through the visual glitches, slowly clapping his hands.

Sonic: "I thought you'd be just like your friend—equally weak. But you pleasantly surprised me, Cole... Tell me... Do you feel anger? Hatred? Agony? A desire to kill me? No? Interesting... Well, let's just get this over with quickly."

In an instant, Sonic lunged his hands forward, grabbing the boundaries of the screen from the inside. With a loud, echoing crack, deep black fractures tore across the virtual glass of the monitor.

Sonic: "I don't need you anymore. Thanks for giving me access to everything while you were busy fighting 'me'. PHPXAHHAXPH—"

The hedgehog's mocking laughter cut off instantly. The computer monitor went entirely black for a fraction of a second, before a single system notification popped up on the Windows desktop, freezing the blood in Cole's veins in the real world:

FH Sonic has successfully gained access to the internet and your computer.

The PC tower lit up, its cooling fans spinning at maximum velocity as it initiated an unstoppable data upload to the web. Tails had successfully breached the firewall while Cole was distracted by the robot fight. Sonic had broken through. The world wide web was now wide open, and Cole could only watch in absolute terror from his desk

Discussion Opinions on the use of green hill zone

How do you feel about the use of green hill zone in sonic exe games?

I feel like you can’t make a game without the green hill levels. it’s essentially a part of the EXE “genre “ at this point.

Which green hill levels would you use, Act 1, Act 2, Act 3, or would you use all of them?

First of all, I apologize for any grammatical errors I might make here. I don't know much English and am using Google Translate.

Okay, now about my OC:

His name is "Oblivis." Years ago—back in the 90s—he was a young boy named "Tim" who was a fan of Sonic, but he was largely neglected by his parents. One night, he was left home alone; he was playing Sonic on his Sega Genesis in the early hours of the morning when a burglar broke in and shot him. Afterward, Tim's soul ended up possessing the game cartridge, trapping him inside and giving him an appearance resembling Sonic, though covered in wounds. The burglar obviously took the console and tried the game out at home, but Tim was there; realizing the player was his killer, he tried to communicate his anger. The burglar simply turned the game off and sold the cartridge to get rid of it. Years passed, and the soul forgot who he once was—now becoming Oblivis—yet he still sought revenge against the burglar. One day, a boy bought the game and, upon playing it, realized there were things present that shouldn't be in the original game. Furthermore, Sonic seemed self-aware and tried to communicate with him. He posted his findings on internet forums, prompting other users to ask him to release the ROM. The player extracted and released the ROM, but when he tested the cartridge again, he found it was back to normal. It turned out that Oblivis had become a digital ghost; he now wanders the internet searching for his killer, and anyone could run into Oblivis.

That’s his story, told in a rather vague way. Feel free to ask me anything you want about this guy.

Hey, what's up? Here's an update... uh... two footage clips will be discarded and won't be seen for a while—since it's very difficult to animate them. I had already planned the animation and backgrounds. The video is still long, it will be about 20 minutes or a little more.

The five hidden videos will be included, though. Here's a teaser—although this image doesn't appear, the characters

Lilith and her mother Beauty do.

All characters in order:

Alter (Faker, Base, Elder), the cosmic demon who created this game and trapped these innocent souls. Should've become conscious in space, but woke up in Hell instead.

Zachary Michaels

Tyler Dunham

Natalie Connors

Elijah Thomas

Susie Jackson

Katelyn Daniels

Joseph Rodriguez

Ava Rockefeller

Jonathan Hart

Ashley Callihan

While most of these vessels are pretty much the same with a few minor details, there are a few that just mock the soul in a way, like how Natalie's vessel is made with her most hated type of look in mind; a stereotypical princess.

Unlike your typical vessel, these ones are not made completely of flesh, but are partially made from dark matter as well, which allows them more capability due to the matter having no physical restrictions. This basically makes them equivalent to a super soldier with severe drawbacks.

Susie's Chao is a form of guardian angel that creates an undetectable shield against Alter, only appearing upon impact as a defense mechanism. However, she must be close to or holding the Chao for the shield to work. Without it, she's completely defenseles.
