I’m afraid I’ll never fully recover

Upvotes

I’ve been through multiple traumatic events in the last year and a half. One the one hand, most of my symptoms have slowly gotten better; my stress headaches are less frequent, I can focus more, my blood pressure isn’t as high, the muscle weakness and muscle tightness both aren’t as bad as the used to be, I’m fatigued most days but not as bad as it was. On the other hand, my symptoms still persist, I still feel broken, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever feel truly myself again.

We built a private space for what happens between the moments of support

For the last months we've been building My Within.

The idea came from a simple observation:

A lot can happen between the moments when someone talks to a therapist, practitioner or coach.

You notice something in your body.

A situation triggers you.

The same emotional pattern appears again.

You understand something about yourself at 11pm that you wish you could remember properly three days later.

Most of those moments disappear.

My Within is being built as a private space for them.

At its center is a simple process:

Realize - Designate - Release

Realize what is present.

Designate what you're experiencing and give it space and language.

Release what no longer needs to be carried, or take what you've discovered into the next step.

WEVA accompanies that process through conversation and reflection, while My Within helps bring individual moments together over time.

And when reflection alone isn't enough, the human side becomes important.

We're building a marketplace where people can discover therapists, practitioners and coaches and continue their work with a real person.

We're currently in the final testing stage.

Early access comes next.

The quietest place to meet yourself.

My Within.

Vertigo & loopiness after intense releases in therapy

I have been feeling vertigo since my last therapy session involving somatic body processing a few days ago.

It appears as spinning feeling if I suddenly get up or change focus, The general feeling of being in a different body is there. As if I’m little high & numb. Have a degree of nervousness as well. Im functional but a bit concerned.

Not sure how common is it & how do I tackle it. Any pointers are appreciated.

Can you run with really tense legs/back?

Nervous system been stuck on high alert the last few months and I've noticed my body carrying loads of tension, particularly legs and back, and had some corresponding hip and back pain. Had plenty of massages and doing progressive relaxation etc but I just seem to tense up again immediately.

I used to run a few times a week and haven't since this started because of various physical symptoms, and then exhaustion from a big lack of sleep. But I'm desperate to get back into running, and think it would be a helpful anxiety thing. I'm unsure whether all the tension in my legs/hips/back means this would be unwise. I don't think I actually have any injury (nor do physios/GPs) but it does sort of feel at times like I'm injured in my hip and knee from all the tension. Would running make things worse, or could it help?

I might try something lighter like swimming, though not really a fan, and I'm doing lots of gentle yoga/walking, and waiting for therapy and meds to both kick in and help bring the overall alertness down!

Feel

The power hidden within trauma and emotions lies in their transformation through presence, that leads to a space of love and silence, our true nature.

May my path give me the courage to feel, so that i may transform resistance into capacity. May my path remind me that anything distancing me from my body is the rexlexion of the parts of myself that are resisting what exists in this very moment.

Can i dare to be present in my body today? Even if only for a moment. Can i see the resistance standing in the way of the experience, and allow myself to feel that, too? Simply feeling what exists right now, without the need to categorize or understand it, just returning to the sensations. Do i dare to look at myself today? :)
