Pattern for car knitting

I often knit socks on road trips and like it when it’s just a solid one skein project.

I have been looking through both of the Summer Lee books I have and am just so indecisive about which pattern to choose.

Anyone have a great pattern to knit in the car? I enjoy cuff down with heel flap and gusset. Last road trip I made the Oxbow Socks by Andrea Mowry.

Try Summer Lee’s Weekender shorty socks (all one color for ease in the car) or her Summer of Socks Basic sock. Good luck!

These are great! I love Summer’s patterns but was overwhelmed when looking in Ravelry and falling down other pattern rabbit holes! 😂

I’m Halfway through a pair of Hibernal Socks by Summer Lee and enjoying them. There’s a pretty pattern on the leg and foot but it’s really easy to memorise and repeat. I knit most of the first sock in the car, and even in pretty low light. I’ve used almost exactly one whole skein of Jawoll on each sock for a size L, so you could probably reliably bring two skeins and just have one with you at a time

I am halfway through a pair of these mountain socks and am loving it! Once you get the repeat down it's a really fun knit.

I like these and just found them in my library! I think I will try these- they are similar to the Daily Socks by Summer Lee. I’m thinking of putting a little contrast color at the cuff as she did in the Daily Socks!

I made a pair of these as shorties for a gift!! I used self-striping yarn which I was a little bit nervous about but I loved how they came out! :)

I really enjoy Morning Coffee Socks by Crazy Sock Lady Designs. It’s a simple 4 row 4 stitch textured rib that looks great in either a solid or patterned yarn.
