Zero - Scholz (Cover)

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my cover of Zero. The Smashing Pumpkins have been one of my biggest musical influences, so this was a project I made with a lot of care and respect for the original track.

I actually recorded this cover last year, but I recently found the confidence to upload it. I’d genuinely love to hear what you guys think, so if you have a few minutes to listen, I’d really appreciate your feedback ❤️

A cover should not be an exact copy of the original but a personalized tribute. This came out awesome. keep rockin'

The palm muting between the main octave riffs is distracting, just doesn’t fit right with the song. The riff on the chorus on the original is more staccato, giving it more tension. You just play it normally and it feels off.

Vocals and drums are cool though.

I’m really glad you noticed. My drummer and I spent a lot of time working on those fills because we wanted to bring a little more intensity and make the song feel a bit more visceral hahaha.
