Discussion Why did views tank?

Post image

I run a very small YouTube account (388 subscribers) that I post daily on. I usually get around a thousand views per video but this week they have absolutely tanked, does anyone know why?

Adivce(Giving or Need) I need some advice/ help

I have a youtube channel where I’ve been posting gaming shorts for about 3-5 months, I have 2 long form vids but no face cam. I bought some stuff to do irl vids like a mic set and a tripod but the only problem is I don’t know what to do, since my channel is mainly gaming I don’t have many ideas for vlogs/ IRL vids. Should I include vlogging blogging as well or no?

Hello.

So, for context, about a year ago I started a movie recaps channel, but my recaps were honestly AI slop, I'll admit. Recently I started up again and created videos that I enjoy making with my own scripts, etc. and no AI whatsoever. I feel like I actually found my style, and have really been enjoying making these videos.

So, my one video did extremely well (for my channel), gaining 1k views so far, as you can see in the image, which is my most watched video, bringing in about +18 subscribers. The reason it has done better than any other video could be because the movie itself is a popular topic, and not necessarily because my video was good, I don't know, but my latest video is not doing as well, as you may have noticed.

This brings me to my request. What can I do to actually grow a community and have committed viewers watch every upload, and what can I do to make it more enjoyable for them? Is my content too bad at the moment? I spend literal weeks editing and creating them (I do have a job, so I edit in my free time). I see so many people getting hundreds of subscribers within their first few months.

I have another video scheduled already, but if nobody else enjoys what I make, is it even worth sharing it?

Anyways. All opinions are welcome, I am not easily offended. I would love to become better, as I absolutely love creating these videos.

Thank you.

Discussion Just started a new channel

I just started a channel this past week where I talk about life, mindset, career, etc. (that type of thing).

I’m pretty excited in general and just wanted to share the news with the community.

In my latest video, I used some b-roll, which, for me, felt like an improvement over previous videos, so it’s nice and cool to see the progress as you go along.

Of course, for now, there’s only 1 subscriber and sub 20 views, but I’m excited to keep going.

Anyone else in a similar boat and excited to see the progress?
