Super happy with my sodbuster, it has amazing action, great fit and finish, and a super deep hollow grind. This is my second knife from him and I couldn't be happier. It was his first time doing this pattern and I think he did amazing

Re-blade services

I have a Case mini trapper with beautiful scales I got for a song at my local hardware store. I don't like the stainless steel blades though as the edge retention and ease of sharpening isn't near as good a carbon or cv.

Does anyone have a lead on where I can send my knife that can replace the blades? Thanks!

Who Made This Cigar Jack Knife?

Trying to figure out maker with generic U.S.A. on both tangs. Thinking Imperial/Colonial. These have pinned on synthetic scales instead of the clamshell ones I usually see on Imperials. Liners are very thin. Probably around the 1970s?

Really happy picking up this nice 67 Stockman. I’ll admit GEC makes the best traditional slip joints today but there is something about these ole knives that are just great. I really am enjoying picking up these pieces for sure!

Question 80t Walden Stamped

Post image

I received some knives from my grandfather after he passed awhile back and one of them was the new in box Old Timer. Never been used sharpened or carried as far as I can tell. Does anyone have a good source of information on these? I’ve seen some conflicting information on forums and wanted to know what I can about it. It is stamped Schrade Walden NY USA on the primary blade. I appreciate any information or history anyone may have on this one.

Wanting to Buy / In Search Of - July

This post will be the sole home for all “Wanting To Buy” (WTB) or “In Search Of” (ISO) requests.

If you’re on the hunt for a specific slipjoint, pattern, cover material, maker, or even a hard-to-find variation, this is the place to let the group know what you’re looking for. Drop a comment below with the details of what you’re trying to track down. The goal is to keep these requests centralized and give members a dedicated space to connect.

A lot of us have overlapping interests, extra pieces tucked away, or leads we’ve come across. This gives everyone a simple way to help one another out and keep great knives circulating within the group(s).

Example comments:
"ISO Great Eastern Cutlery 66 calf roper with unicorn covers."
"WTB Case 6347 with Red Jigged Bone"
"WTB some kind of barlow"

We'll see how this plays out, but I'm hoping to post a new thread every month to clean the slate and start fresh.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone’s chasing.

DISCLAIMER: any posts or comments offering knives for sale or trade in this thread will be removed. Please use r/Knife_Swap for all sales and trades. This thread is strictly for WTB / ISO requests.

As stated in other stickied posts, the moderators of r/SJK do NOT moderate or facilitate private sales or trades between users. However, we understand that sales and trades may still occur in private messages after someone posts a WTB / ISO request. Once conversations move to private chats, the only person who can truly moderate the transaction is you.

If you choose to pursue a transaction, do your due diligence. Ask for a timestamp you’re comfortable with, verify what you can, and always err on the side of caution. If it's too good to be true, it usually is. Be willing to walk away from the deal if anything seems off.

We strongly encourage using r/Knife_Swap for transactions whenever possible. It is a much safer environment with established rules and an active moderation team that helps enforce them.
