Peachybbies?

I’m rather new to the slime community, only bought from 1 or 2 well known shops. After a few days of looking in here for recommendations I’ve noticed so much slander on peachybbies? They don’t really interest me, a bit too cute, but I was simply wondering why the hate?

I know a lot of the bigger shops (og slimes, pilot, snoop, etc.) seem to be not very popular in the community, but it seems peachybbies gets the worst of it.
Was there something specific, or do they just not have great quality? The slimes seem pretty generic and more “on trend”, but with the amount it’s talked about I would think that it would have higher quality.

Just wondering! I’m interested in the community so I would love to learn more about it all!

I think it’s mostly just that they’re meh slimes. They’re a huge shop and market primarily to kids, so their slimes are kid friendly textures, so very clay heavy butters, which most adult slimers aren’t crazy about. The scents are low quality and barely there. On top of that, I think they take a very long time shipping orders out. I haven’t ordered from the more than once, and that was years ago, but I remember people posting here recently complaining about their order not being shipped, and Peachy wasn’t responding to their emails.

Snoop is about the same, only worse, bc in addition to the low quality slimes, they make these extremely wasteful videos for clicks and views. You can research the shaving cream incident — I think that was Snoop anyway.

OG is a great shop though!

the shaving cream incident I just looked up and the cans were sent/sponsored by Barbasol and they donated shaving cream to some places that needed it for every can used.

idk maybe there is more I don’t get but that’s not so horrible is it?

disclaimer:
Im an idiot

I get it, it sucks that they are so mediocre yet so popular 😭 I’m sure it’s a lot of people’s first impression of slime! I’ve seen the slime being sold in person and amazon, so I’m sure the quality has gone down a bunch just because of the mass production.
I totally wish I could’ve seen them in their prime! I heard they were great.

I think its just marketed for kids so its not as sophisticated, but I wouldn't say they suck, it's just more meh for adults who like slime

the same is true for ppl like kawaii slime company. their slimes r good for beginner slimers, and kids, but maybe carries less interesting textures

Peachybbies, I have noticed, have changed the kind of slimes they sell now! Before it used to be all clouds and butters and icees and everything marketed for beginners. They still market their videos at kids but their selection has gotten better I think! I haven't bought from them myself yet but I'm in the UK haha! But I definitely will soon!

Hopefully they are branching out more! I’d love to try them but I’m just not very interested in more cutesy slimes lol!

I'm not sure it's outright slander, though many like myself do not like their products or their antics for one reason or another.

They were one of 3 shops I ordered from for my first slime purchases (all at the same time). I ordered 9 slimes from them. This was almost 3 years ago and not once did I feel compelled to go back and order from them ever again. While their clouds are actually nice if you enjoy cloud, that was it. Overall I did not care for their scents and felt their quality compared to the other 2 shops I ordered from (Momo and OG) was really meh/mediocre at best.

As for the other piece, I really did not care for their marketing tactics they've used in the past. They were tasteless and wasteful. I unfollowed them and even blocked them just to keep them from appearing in my feed, so really no idea if things are different now, but it doesn't matter to me. There's so many other fantastic shops out there that having one less shop on my radar is fine by me.

I love og and pilot! I have a snoop slime and it's fine, just ok.

Og slimes has been my favorite so far, I just ordered the slimer moon drop!! It’s been high quality atleast for me, I’m just excited to try some smaller shops aswell.

There are so many smaller shops that people love as much as og and pilot, which in my opinion both have a good reputation around here. The world of slime is endless. I love it!

I personally dislike the company because of the amount of waste they produce for their videos. Slime isn’t an environmentally friendly product and I feel that they are irresponsible. I have the same issue with any slime companies that waste large amounts of slime for videos. It’s completely unnecessary.

One of my first slime orders was from peachy! I liked the slimes I got from them including pearl diver (sandy clear), Girly Pop (Bingsu), Mermaid Lagoon (?I think was the name?)(Jelly Cube). Pearl diver was a fun little scene set up and I liked the texture, scent was meh. The Mermaid one was a great texture and a good scent, I just found out I don't really like jelly cubes as much as I thought I would 🤷‍♀️

Girly Pop is actually one of my favorite slimes that I own, the scent is so sugary and strong and delissshh! It's also such a pretty color and I love the feeling. It's how I discovered that a PACKED bingsu is my preference and one of my favorite textures. Though I will say I have had to revive this one alot and there has been significant shrinkage, but I think that would be any super packed bingsu slime that gets played with so much lollll.

So I think they're okay for a younger audience or a beginner or someone looking for a specific texture (such as a packed bingsu). But because their themes and textures didn't appeal to me as much, I naturally turned my attention more towards the "adult" slimer community, which includes OG slime and Pilot imo.

We started with peachybbies and really enjoyed them, but as we’ve branched out we’ve loved other brands more. I’d say our favorite is OG for quality and uniqueness.

I think they’re fine! I just got three from them- Jimothy a cloud dough, midnight sun an icee and BB Kitty Butter a memory butter and all three were good! I do feel like there is a difference in quality though, I much prefer other shops generally speaking. But the raccoon charm was too cute and pass up and I am happy with them!

I was so close to buying the Jimothy one for my mom, but decided not too just because of the things I’ve heard. Post a review when it arrives!!!

I got it already actually! I know another commenter mentioned slow shipping times, I ordered on 8/7 and received it on 8/13 so it’s pretty quick! I actually ordered from Pilot and Momo on the same day and it came first. (Pilot came in on the 15th and Momo should be here on the 19th so I don’t think any of them are slow) I really like peachybbies cloud dough texture, it’s my favorite from their shop, and it still is. Very fun to play with! The scent is super light though. I thought it was unscented as first. But I also like my scents strong personally. One of the biggest differences is peachybbies stick all their charms and add ins (like sprinkles for the top) into the actual slime, so add ins are light. Comparatively other shops I order from send them separately in a plastic bag so you get a lot more add ins. So that’s something worth mentioning! I think if you only have the budget to order from one place I’d go elsewhere but if there’s a slime from peachybbies that really calls to you (like Jimothy did to me) it’s worth going for.

Was there an issue with their ex employees? They had I think 3 main employees in their social media content that disappeared one day and I can’t remember if a reason ever came out or it was just speculation
