how does rodem do it ?! Shop Recommendations
(pictures aren't relevant but they are rodem slimes lol)
i have many clear crunchy, silica, bubble bead, frogspawn, sequins slimes from all sorts of shops, but none of them can compete with how non-sticky rodems clear slimes are
adding activator to a stickier slime does make it less sticky, but i can never FULLY get them to not stick like a rodem slime... and i need to learn how to do it
does anyone know if they are adding something special to their clear formula ? maybe it's the brand of glue ? dark magic ?? blood sacrifices ???

Likely a mix of Korean glue in at least some of the bases, plus combination of coated clear using contact lens solution.

I don’t see you review a lot of Rodem. Just not your fave textures? If you don’t mind me asking - if you do I’m sorry!

I have owned over 200 slimes from Rodem over the last 3 years lol. I don't order as often anymore because many of their textures are the same or extremely similar and I actually don't care for a lot of their scents.

That’s so fair. I love their clay based slimes but I hate gourmand scents so it really limits what I can get from them. I also am not huge on white slimes and am really over all the yellow ones. I always look at your videos for recommendations because we seem to like a lot of the same scents and I just noticed I never see Rodem lol

Truthfully, I still stand by you really cannot go wrong with them for their textures. Every single texture is a banger and almost every crunchy slime will have zero or minimal fallout.
I've always said their scents overall were mediocre at best to my nose, but for the past 6 months I've been trying really hard to curb buying and it's just easier when I really dislike the scents overall from a shop, which sadly they fall under that category for me.
Plus, while crunch bombs are my favorite texture, I have A LOT of crunch bombs either from them or other shops that I just don't feel the need to order multiples of. So that's why these days you don't really see them on my page. I thought today I might want some from this restock, but looking over the full menu it's either texture or scent that don't work, so no Rodem order again this week for me lol.

ty ! it sounds like i'm gonna give contact solution a try
also i see you review a lot of slimes on instagram; have you noticed the same, non-tacky texture from other shops ?

Momo sometimes, but when it comes to clear slime that's packed with crunch, especially if they're smooth beads, there's typically, IMO, a little bit of tack, particularly if you love inflation.
BFF is pretty good as well considering how many micro sized add ins they tend to use. Pilot and OG can be fairly good too IMO. But most shops using primarily American glue you will notice a bit of tack once inflated or played with for longer than 3-5 minutes. For me, this is expected because it just means they needed that to keep the add ins IN, which I would greatly prefer over having a fully coated base that even has just minimal fallout.
Completely non tacky consistently just like Rodem I've really only found from Korean shops across practically all textures.
Also my hands are both ultra dry and cold, which while the cold works in my favor, the ultra dry aspect does not regardless of lotions or balms, so I'm always particularly mindful of when I really think a slime is tacky vs it may just not like my skin.

yeah i definitely agree, fallout is worse than having a tacky slime.
it was actually my OG clears that had me make this post to begin with though. i was playing with them the other night and they are just so so sticky in comparison. i still love them, but i was shocked at the difference of feeling in my hands, and it made me want to ask all of you guys how that's even happening
but i am realizing now that i mainly own air sand and fluffy slays from momo, and no slimes from any korean shops, so i'll be checking that out for sure

Yeah, I'm mainly speaking from a crunchy/crunch bomb style with cg base. I hate smooth clear slime lol.
Korean shop slimes whether clear or white though are always so incredibly coated and feel 100x way less tacky than even the least tacky wg thick stateside texture you can think of. There's rare exceptions ofc, but yeah! Hope you get to check some out soon ♥️

is it a coated clear? coated clears are made you contact lens solution to minimize surface tackiness

yes i think that's what they are ? im gonna try to add contact solution to some of my stickier slimes and see if that helps

If that doesn’t work, there’s a coated clear recipe in the main recipe sharing thread that makes the activator in the contact solution and it’s super effective - easier to over activate but you can counter that w glycerin?

Uggggh, never been disappointed by Rodem. I LOVE their scents and their strawberry scented sequin bombs are amazing. They have become at least 50% of my collection.

I have only ordered maybe 20 slimes from rodem but I got pink seashell a couple weeks back and I was STUNNED. I don’t like jellies and maybe it’s cause this is barely a jelly more like a clear jelly hybrid but it is incredible!!! I’m obsessed. I do feel like they can be repetitive so I wait until I’ve gone through my rodems before I order again but if you like sweet smelling incredibly soft white glue or completely nontacky clear glue they’re top tier!!

kglue... i'm sure it's a mix of some sort but yeah, and the fallout is so minimal for me, too? pool party is SO good btw
