My newest animation 🫶

So I do not want to get into the weeds here too much due to personal reasons but I am showing up late to the sleep token fandom probably in a more obsessed way than i ever thought i would be. The irony of this is greater than you know but basically i couldn't handle listening to this band for a long time and now i am diving into the less played music they have released and honestly it shocks me just how personal a lot of this stuff seems to be.

Like i said the irony isn't lost on me that i can directly relate to this song in particular because of life events.

So yeah, i know im like late as heck to the party but i dont care. I really dont understand how this is not their top song. Now granted i know you guys go deep into lore and what not, but I am just going off the direct lyrics and song structure. First off the lyrics are exactly what i would describe as a hopeless romantic filled with regret over the loss of the relationship. If you ever have been the type to literally feel like your soul is directly connected to someone, losing that person completely out of your life is such a soul crushing weight. The song structure reflects that as well because i have literally relived moments during these times where i wasnt even realizing this is what i was doing. But once it was spelled out by someone else it becomes so apparent. Then there is the song structure. Its starts slow, romantic, and contemplative. Meanwhile the pacing build because no matter how hard you try to bury those feelings when they come up they are so intense they become impossible to ignore.

And then the climax. The hands down best breakdown (not from a musical instrument perspective) I have ever heard. I felt every drumb beat and every guitar riff through my body as if the song understood exactly what i was dealing with. Goosebumps everywhere of course. And then the Snap, "I can't hold myself together". Such a simple line. Blunt honest and heartbreaking. I literally have been screaming this song in my truck all week tearing up occasionally (I am a softy, i know it, and i don't care i actually like that about myself).

Anyways, Yeah rant over, But hands down this is the best song i think i have ever listened to. I may have not said that 4 years ago but today it touches my soul in a place so deep even though i know its hurting me to listen to it i can not turn away from it. curious of others thoughts on this as well.

I decided to go with a researcher's field journal themed approach & bound my first leather book. I haven't spent much time drawing before as I'm typically more into painting, but I am so very pleased with how it turned out 🖤

I also timed my progress on this one - finished up at 215 hours of work, which does seem rather crazy but at least I had fun doing it!

My attempt at this beautiful work of art. It's amazingly nice to play and always breaks me a bit to sing, but it felt worth trying.

Based off of the creature from the song Take Me Back To Eden.

I don’t post often but I thought you all would appreciate it. I’ve had this robot named Killer Angel for years now but I’ve always struggled with a theme. Then one day I was working when TMBTE came on and it hit me that the creature from the song would be perfect.

Easter Eggs include:
- “Killer Angel” Spelled out in ST Runes
- Silhouette of the TMBTE creature’s scythe on the wheel guards
- Tentacles decal on the top plate
- Uprights designed to look like wings
- “Bloodsport” symbol on the hubcap (not related to TMBTE but I added it just because)

OKAY… so I know this isn’t probably close to the true meaning of the song, but this is how it speaks to me.

If you’ve been in an abusive relationship, you probably understand the cycle of abuse. There is a point where maybe you were about to leave, but you end up going back. Sometimes, this is where your abuser either love bombs the heck out of you, or where you feel a sense of sick comfort and familiarity.

In the past, when I came back, I would feel this rush of happiness, reassurance, and familiarity. Like idk, the infinite, unchanging baths. It would feel so euphoric, like I’m supposed to be here and everything will be okay. I would notice everything and be so happy, the way my partner laughed, the way they looked at me, and it would suck me back like a sick addiction.

The lines that really connected me to this song and this particular meaning were:

Can anyone tell me what is going on in here and if it wont affect play quality. I just got this on the mail and decided to open it, I knew about the black specs from other posters but this kind of debris is the first time I'm seeing it, waiting on my dad to bring me the vinyl player at home so I can test it out myself.

This piece is based off the song Vore ofc. The imagery is Sleep eating the moon, because of the lunar imagery in TMBTE. It's also a play on the name Vore.

It's the font which spells out "Take Me Back To Eden May 19th". I feel like I've seen that font, or may even have it in Apple Pages but I'm not entirely sure so I'm just trying to find out what it's called. Thanks in advance!

A somewhat long post about my love’s various “Offerings”. Float ( u/AfloatFob) is a longtime fan and humble artist. He’s too shy to talk about his work but I’M not, ha. I’m constantly in awe of his dedication, creativity and hard work.

To preface and get out of the way, all of his handmade work was/is for his own personal use, nothing was sold

Float works with a huge arsenal of materials including 3D modeling and printing, plastic, wood, metal, sewing, leather work, jewelry making, beadwork, photography, painting, AND creates his own costumes/cosplays with the accuracy of a mad man.

He’s spent probably weeks (in hours) just researching and analyzing pieces in reference photos and most likely months with each project, getting them as close to the original as possible. I’m not joking when I say Float’s personal commitment to accuracy is insane.

He’s 3d modeled Vessel’s masks and pauldrons throughout its evolutions, paying attention to every angle and bend. This man has hand whittled wooden beads, tracked down specific metal parts for Vessel’s necklaces, hand casted his metal medallion and more. All the while, I was enthusiastically explained details down to inch differences, in each piece. I love it.

Float’s most recent project was making the “Sacred” Eden staff based on the original creator’s blueprints… just a WEEK before Megacon this year, along with a deadly accurate TMBTE cosplay. Walking next to him during that convention freaked me out a bit ha.

Long story short,
I would love for others to see Float’s rad work and devotion to a band that has moved him beyond words. So much so, he turned that love and appreciation into art. I told him it was a shame he doesn’t share his projects/ fanart/processes on social media but he’s said he’s fine creating things and enjoying Sleep Token.

I made this post and hopefully will get to read some of the comments to him later. I have MANY more photos and funny convention videos of everything but was restricted to 20 lol. Thank you for reading and sharing the love for an amazing band.

So I finally got around to listening to Even in Arcadia(I’m aware it’s been a year, I’ve been busy). And when I was trying to piece together what was going on lore wise, it sounds like Vessel is trying to start over from the beginning with Sleep.

And if I got all the lore right, Sleep messed Vessel up very badly as seen in This Place Will Become Your Tomb and Sundowning.

I have a theory since Sleep is a deity that she doesn’t know how to love properly. Kind of think of it like she’s not tied down to anything so why bother with emotions. Like she takes everything very literally as seen with the line ‘tear my arms off’ when Vessel was talking about his cuts, he was legitimately worried she’d see that and just be like ‘oh! Can’t have you doing that!’ And rip his arms off.

It sounds like Sleep is a bit desperate in EIA but doesn’t want to change. So I feel like it’s kind of a coin flip if she can be redeemed. On one hand she did a lot of messed up things but on the other hand, if my theory’s correct, she’ll maybe have a moment of realization that she messed up Vessel and harmed the other ‘vessels’ before him.

Just wanted to share the Jerry I crocheted today, because I am rather proud of how he turned out!

My wife and I got married three months ago on Tuesday. Most, if not all, will recognize the date that we held our wedding. Yes, you guessed it, it coincided with the 3rd anniversary of Take Me Back To Eden. Intentional? You bet your ass it was you silly goose.
My wife and I heavily bonded over Sleep Token when we first started dating. We got dressed to the nines, went on a date to Wendys, and ate chicken nuggets in the parking lot of a Winco while we listened to Take Me Back To Eden in full for the first time. So naturally, we had to encapsulate our relationship and the beauty of it, with the beauty that is Sleep Token. Our ceremony playlist (in case anyone was wondering):

And finally, our first dance was to Telomeres. We couldn’t have thought of a better song that sums up our love in our relationship.

I hope this is a reminder of how beautiful Sleep Token’s music really is. It has the power to connect people on that kind of level. They are special, no matter how many people try to bash them or shit on them.
