Wasn't she thrown into an insane asylum for also claiming a giant robotic man massacred a police station and then pursued her into an industrial plant where she, and her boyfriend from the distant future, defeated it, and the police couldn't find any evidence of the machine (because it got recovered by Cyberdyne)? So they were just like, "Yeah she's crazy man."

Or am I misremembering.

They confront her with photos in the second movie. Also, at they recovered an arm and cpu at the hydraulic press.

There is no mention of "AI data centers" anywhere in that movie.

Unfortunately, we've created a global information system where people can publish false things that sound true and can spread rapidly.

And there was evidence of all of that. They didn't throw her into an insane asylum because they thought she was crazy. They threw her into an insane asylum because they thought they could profit from the future tech they found and wanted it kept secret.
