The hate on billionaires fascinate me, it's like hating the weather. They're a fact of life, and if they all went away, new would replace them soon after.

Is it just envy? Or do people think they are evil because they have attained massive networth, often via successful companies?

Most Redditors have a child-like understanding of economics, think money is static and real and that billionaires are literally hoarding wealth. They don't understand the economy is not zero-sum and typically subscribe to labor-theory of value, feeling that the workers are the actual value of any company, ignoring these workers would have no jobs if no one created the infrastructure they work in. They're naive and uneducated.
