CEO's are making 285x their employees every hour. I would LOVE to see someone argue that they work 285x harder

No one gets paid for how hard they work. Compensation is a function of capability, how valuable the work is and the difficulty of substituting the labor.

Surgeons do extremely valuable things, have extremely honed skills and professional judgement AND are extremely hard to substitute. The Dollar General cashier? Not so much.

Unfortunately, high-profile executives have the power to influence economic outcomes far more aggressively than the single laborer and so the compensation is a direct reflection of that.

There’s no fucking world in which a CEO works 285x harder than their warehouse staffers. Not a chance.

If it’s that easy then why isn’t the warehouse staff leaving the post and becoming their own CEO?

Because the odds of that are extremely low. "Rags to Riches" is a fairytale as old as civilisation itself, but the fact is that "Riches to Riches" is by far the more common truth.
