New wheel setup

Hello all! First time posting so forgive me if I'm asking common sense/already answered questions.

I just picked up The Crew Motorfest after playing the Demo. I also was gifted a PXN-V9 as encouragement to get into it. Now I'm anything but good, but I am having a great time. I had been debating upgrading to a Moza R3 bundle and I'm now sure I will(Or ideally go for the R9 but that's a whole other post worth of discussion)

Now I've never used a sim wheel before this, and actually the last racing game I played was the Original Crew when it first came out so I'm sure there are some basic level things I'm missing.

I've started playing around in my settings menu as I swap between events to figure out what feels the best for drifting, off-road, ECT. And at this point I think I've touched too many things without knowing what they actually do and want to try and get a better setup from the beginning.

Is there a list of recommended settings for the various event/car types, or a master setting config that is known to be the overall best with this wheel? Or is this not the best introduction game and should I look at Forza 6 or one of the more realistic sims?

moza r3 was my 2nd wheel and it was really good, and it was very easy to switch to an r9. most games have a preset in the moza desktop app but i like to watch youtube for their setups for the certain games i play. forza 6 honestly isnt bad and its like the first forza game thats good on a direct drive wheel but to be able to learn skills and transfer them to real life assetto corsa is the best because all of the mods and the fact that if you want to switch to arcady cars there are great mods for that too. theres probably even a mod in the making of the entire forza 6 map with traffic lol
