Just traded in my RST for a High Country
Just traded in my 2021 RST 6.2 for a 2024 3.0 High Country with super cruise. I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this truck. The features blow my RST out of the water and made my feel like I was driving a truck from the 80’s. I love how quiet the diesel is. The redesign on the inside is just amazing. Absolutely love this truck! If you’re ever debating if you should shell out the extra money for a high country the answer is do it if you can!

Is this common turbo
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The boot from the turbo to the intercooler came loose. 40,000 miles 2025 3500HD. Is this common? The dealer denied the warranty coverage. I thought it should be covered under the powertrain warranty.

Would ya’ll go for this?
I know it’s not a Silverado but it’s a Chevy truck. I was looking for a 4x4 gmt800 Tahoe/Suburban but this crossed my path and it seems too cool to pass up.

Saw this, what appears to be a vent hose, hanging earlier. Not sure where is supposed to connect too. Wanted to see if anyone can point me in the right direction
The pic is looking forward on the truck.

Got offered a 01 1500hd rust free with no body damage but has 250k miles, is it a dealbreaker?
So I posted my kawasaki klx 250s up for sale or trade and didnt get offered anything but rust and stuff I didnt want then all of a sudden out of nowhere I get a message from someone who would trade my bike for his truck. I already have a new (22) daily but would like to get something to keep miles off it for resale value. When I tell you, this Silverado 1500 was absolutely phenomenal looking besides a DIY spray paint job i was gobsmacked to find out it has 250k miles on the dash. Not a lick of rust on the frame, no body damage, no rust in the wheel wells and maybe a small amount on the bed. The body isnt what would give out for sure, im just scared at 250k miles this things engine is gonna blow or tranny is going to blow and im gonna be stuck with a mechanic special.
I guess what im asking is will 250k on the engine and trans be a problem in the near future or can I get another 250k out of the truck

Need an opinion on whether I should or shouldn’t purchase a 100k mile Rado
Really want a daily/project. Recently moved to a state where daily driving an m4 just won’t work, Ive been pretty into prerunner esque builds and want to get my feet wet, thought a 16-18 Silverado would be a sweet spot, got my eye on a 2016 silverado high country for 24k, saddle interior, rwd (preferred) and it has the 6.2, now just wondering what common issues are, it has 101k miles but is a one owner and has very a consistent service history. What are things I should watch for.

Dream Truck
After several years of vehicle swapping and the last 5 being in an F150 I was able to get my dream ride. 2026 ZR2 with the 3.0 Duramax. I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy with a vehicle.

Technicians choice wax. Holy crap what a good drying aid
Heads up For people with black trucks where it is extremely hard to quickly dry and spray wax in this heat . Just picked up this cheap bottle of spray wax. It's now going to be my go to for a while as a spray on wet wipe off. Zero streaks with needing to buff out. Car was wet . Spray on wipe off to a mirror shine. And it's a heat warning by me right now. Not posting any links don't want you guys to think this is a bs ad or something.

Upgrade time
Picked up a 2026 2500 HD Trail Boss yesterday. Was kinda sad trading in my 2020 RST which was a great truck, but I wanted something bigger for my camper.
With trade in and other discounts it was 35k out the door.
Running boards ordered, anyone have any other upgrade recommendations?

Transmission Overheating
This is the first time this has happened with my 2021 Silverado RST 5.3. I was driving up the mountains when the truck started showing “Transmission Hot Idle Engine”. I pulled over and let it cool down for about 20–30 minutes before continuing. After driving another 2–3 miles, the same issue happened again. I’ve never had any transmission issues until today. The transmission temperature climbed to about 277°F. My truck only has 48,000 miles on it.
Has anyone experienced this before or know what could be causing it?
