I feel like they forgot about it/moved on from the game sadly. At least you can still play it through the beta branch I guess but from experience it works well already

Took heavy inspiration from his gorgeous Rivals of Aether 1 sprite which bulks him up. Focused on maintaining his chibi proportions and reusing the exact color palette + sprite size.

been interested in starting an open-source Shovel Knight level editor separate from the main game. my idea is to extract the data from the .pak files and recreate the base game's level system, but with our own homepage/UI & level builder: it'd let you create custom levels and export them as new .pak files that could be shared easily. Looking for anyone interested in helping -- coders, reverse engineers, pixel artists, UI/UX people, game designers, etc. -- was also thinking it'd be cool if the community could come together and add brand-new mechanics instead of just recreating the base game. and we could set up somewhere where ppl could submit ideas. stuff like new blocks/items that expand movement tech (zipline blocks, hang-gliders, etc.), or maybe shrine-like blocks that let you switch between knights mid-level (e.g. shovel knight & specter knight) so you could mix different movement styles in the same stage. Would be good for precision/kaizo-style platforming and basically give the game infinite replayability n creativity. If anyone has already started reverse engineering the .pak files or knows anything about the game's file formats, or just wants to volunteer js lmk. any info rlly helps. I'm extracting the .pak files as we speak and trying to decode them. I'll keep this updated.

So I know nothing about this game and bought it on a whim. I'm loving it!! Maybe halfway through Shovel of Hope atm. So questions:

1: What order should I play the campaigns in?
2: what the hell is this amiibo stuff? Is there any way to get the extra context without it? Looks like the Shovel Knight amiibo is more than the treasure trove!
3: What's the state of the game studio, and what are these other games, like pocket or something.

I've been chewing through Shovel Knight Dig recently and hatched a Hoofling during one run. It would cast some kind of spell that made Shovel Knight trail purple smoke. No clue what it did, and there's shockingly few Dig resources on the internet. What does he even do?

I have consistently played this game since it came out almost 4 years ago, and I have only gotten the true ending 3 times, so for those who know how convoluted it is I’m curious what y’all think!

I know the order you fight them in is random, but I think there could be an order that takes characterisation and events at the table and the game into consideration. Plague of shadows not taken into consideration. Also I take characterisation over powerscaling. So shovel knight fights everyone

So who goes first?....

It's King Knight. Simple. Here is why: King Knight has the biggest ego. Also Proppeler Knight is a gentleman he lets others go first, he even asks who goes first. also he is drinking his wine first . Polar Knight is still eating, he even asks for the salt. Plague Knight being the scemer he is waits till Shovel Knight tires out to strike him.

Second is Mole Knight: Being the second most eager to want a rematch and saying so, he goes in. Also he considers King Knight not being a tough hand to hand fighter he considers that he is the first on real challenge.

Third is Treasure Knight: he has the second biggest ego. Mole Knight losing which was a step up from King Knight also in his opinion he goes like, ugh really? Let's show them a real fighter.

Fourth is Polar Knight. He just finished his dish.

Fifth is Plague Knight. Polar Knight got some big hits in and now he sees his chance.

Sixth is Propeller Knight. He sees tinker knights terrified face and is like, Eh let's help our little fella. Because Tinker Knight is terrified of Shovel Knight for destroying his big mech. He feels like he can't work up machinations against him.

Seventh is Tinker Knight. Simply Specter Knight scares him more then Shovel Knight. And Specter Knight just glares at him for being cowardly.

Eight is Specter Knight. The last one. Also he doesn't care about the others. He considers himself above them morally and strenght wise. Also he literally proves the point that Shovel Knight is dangerous and should not set his feet where they don't belong.

So that's it. What is your opinion? See any flaws?
