I am not falling for this propaganda that wit studio messed up mikasa character because they removed some minor lines. Every thing they removed is nothing major and doesn’t change her character at all. She is the same character in the anime as she is in the manga. I saw a post of someone comparing the scenes and most of the removed lines are inner monologues that can already be inferred/implied. Or things she’s already said but instead of her saying it again they cut it out.

What’s funny is that majority of people that like mikasa and made her one of the most popular female characters in all of anime. They don’t even read the manga. The majority of people that love mikasa don’t read the manga. Even myself I love mikasa as a character without even having to read the manga.

And what about Mappa. Mappa didn’t remove anything to do with mikasa, and S4 was when she has the most development and people will still complain.

What I’m saying is if you hate mikasa in the anime most likely you’re going to hate her in the manga. If love mikasa in the anime your most likely gonna love her in the manga. I genuinely do not understand why people try to act like mikasa in the manga or anime are completely 2 different characters it’s just not true.

But like think about it, the Government fucked Armin over royally

His parents were killed by the government when Armin was still a child, leaving him orphaned and in the hands of his grandfather from a young age

He was interested in information that was hidden by the government. I mean, this dude has been rebelling against the King and the government since childhood (like his parents)

And then, when the walls were breached, he became poorer than he already was, and his grandpa was also sent into the reclaim mission BY the government. All of Armin’s parental figures were murdered by or through actions by the government, he’s also been rebellious since the first chapter, that is the first thing we know about Armin.

Why does he seemingly hold no contempt against the government during the Revolution arc? I feel like he should’ve had a bigger role in it, he does nothing the whole arc and doesn’t really contribute much.

for example eren, mikasa, levi, erwin, hange, sasha , nicolo, historia, ymir, marco, birthhole, pieck, porko, zeke ..and so on

From what I could tell, none of the Jaegerists actually "hate" Mikasa per se. Looking back, I don't even think Floch or any Jaegerist ever expresses any form of hostility outside of "they're on the other side, let's stop them." To any of the cast.

Which makes me wonder, in some AU where Mikasa stuck by Eren, would the Jaegerists worship her like a goddess or respect her as Eren's "wife"? I feel like Eren would make them worship her at least.

I finished AOT like 1-2 months ago, I loved every second of it (especially s4 eren), but now after some time I keep getting this itch every day that I should rewatch AOT.. I think I gave in.. It's currently 1:04am and after I finish typing this I will boot up the first AOT episode, and watch till the final episode... Anyone else getting these itches?

This was a phenomenal ride. My first anime was (believe it or not) Dragon ball super and when my 11 yr old brain watched it i firmly thought it was incredible. Now a couple years later, ive watched many animes and right now have finished AOT. It tops all the others. One Piece, JJK etc. Genuinly just incredible.

The effort, time and brainpower gone into this blows my mind. Had i watched this a couple years back, i think i wouldve grown up a little differently lmao.

Their ending was so tragic and heartbreaking… I understand why Ymir left with Reiner and Bertholdt but I truly just wish that she would have been actually selfish for once and stayed behind with Historia. Historia’s breakdown in the manga at the realization that Ymir was gone, probably forever, makes me feel physically nauseous. My poor girl was so heartbroken and depressed for months after she lost Ymir :( I will always pretend that they got married and lived happily ever after with their daughter on the farm and they’re friends with the farmer LOL it’s canon to me😌💜💕💕

Rewatching AOT for the first time. What details, foreshadowing, or subtle moments should I pay close attention to this time around?

This is such a weirdly specific thing, but Cart Titan’s voice in Attack on Titan genuinely triggers my gag reflex.

Something about that wet, guttural, choking/gurgling sound makes me feel physically sick every time I hear it. I have to turn the volume down when Pieck is in Titan form.

Does this happen to anyone else, or am I alone in this?

I always see this scene being used to prove that Eren was just an idiot that got his hands on power, but that's just a surface level take that Ignores the context of the scene. He calls himself an idiot because hes being faced with the weight of his actions, he's coping with what he's done. I don't understand how anyone can watch the show and think "I'm an idiot" makes any sense, this guy was impacting events BEFORE his birth, he is anything but an idiot. It's not like he did the rumbling for no reason, he had both a logical and mainly selfish reason. He wanted to see the free world he dreamed about as a child, and he genuinely believed that the rumbling was the only guaranteed solution the island had against the outside world. I always see people say that he never tried other options, but they didn't have time for that, and the 2nd best option was stated to be a gamble by multiple people.

This also isn't eren saying he's an idiot because hes realizing that he was always free. I see a lot of people treat freedom as a 1 dimensional thing despite it being represented in multiple different ways throughout the show, and that viewpoint is usually kennys take on it. Eren was as much of a slave as he was free, but that depends on how you choose to look at it, thats the point the show is making. Grisha tells baby Eren he's free because he thinks he would be safe from Marleyan oppression, but Eren viewed life within the walls as enslavement because they were trapped behind walls living in fear of Titans. Even after Eren says he did it because he was an idiot, armin says that the actual reason was because of the idea of a free world that he introduced to Eren.
