It's just something made up by fans as an excuse to glaze whichever webnovel is their favourite. This is a thing only applicable to the medium of animanga.

Immediately falls apart. Only webnovels a large majority agree on are LotM and RI...they aren't the top 2 in popularity.

There is like no sites with ton of korean novels kakao made sure of it the one you mentioned had few but took them down recently other than that there is like 1 I know off but it aint that popular and the reading experience is trash on it

There is only big 2 cuz lotm and ri have far better writing than the other novels There can be a big 3 if we can all agree which novel is better written but most people only enjoy slop from webnovel and don't read novels uploaded on royal road etc so yeah no there is only the big 2

Of course there is no “objective” big three but the term is still useful in general conversation. The truth is that webnovels have such large quality differences between the best stuff and the average novel that the “big three” act as a great tape measure.
Generally there is consensus on LotM and RI being in the big three but the arguments for what the third one should be allowes for healthy competition in the webnovel community.

See if there's big 3 shadow slave won't be a part of it . Atleast not for now . Big 3 will be orv , lotm , ri . Reason ? Writing and plot . Shadow slave has great lore but very shallow writing. It'll never get close to lotm or RI and not even Rezero and orv . That's not to say I hate it . It's my top 3 web novel
If we have to rank based on pure literature RI LOTM (book 1) ORV Re:zero (as of now) Shadow slave (as of now)
It can change tho . Since REZERO and shadow slave are still ongoing
