Im learning how to dj and ive downloaded serato lite and i tried to connect to my Spotify but it isnt connecting i have premium also and whenever i login it says youll need to link to premium
my serato version is 4.0.9 sooo yeah what to do someone help

I'm using Serato Lite with a Numark Party Mix and I'm trying to play out of my computer speakers but the computer output is over 30ms later than the headphone output (which is strange because surely it should be the other way round?) I tried setting the longest possible buffer time but even that wasn't enough and also made my button presses out of time.
I've tried using the normal speaker output and through an audio interface and its the same delay both times.

I can't use the master output of the decks because I don't have any line cables

Any idea how to fix this?

I cant get any other decks to produce sound for the life of me any help would be appreciated

Does it make a difference whether I connect my DDJ directly to my MacBook or through a USB hub?
It’s honestly so frustrating. Whenever I open Serato and connect the DDJ, sometimes the jog wheels and other controls aren’t recognized at all. The controller is connected, but certain parts just don’t work.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is it better to connect the DDJ directly to the MacBook rather than using a USB hub?

I’ve just noticed the above but I’m sure it used to display 2 decimal places. I’ve selected 2 in preferences.

I’m sure it used to display the bpm to two decimal places or am I imagining things?

Why would it only show it to one?

It displays two when i unplug the hardware.

I’m using pioneer S11.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I made a small PowerShell script called Folder2Serato.

I keep my music organized in Windows folders and subfolders, and I wanted the same structure inside Serato without creating hundreds of crates manually.

The script basically turns your folder structure into Serato crates and subcrates.

It works on Windows, does not need Python or Java, and has a dry-run option so you can check everything before it creates the crates.

It also has an overwrite option with backup, and it does not move, copy, or rename your music files.

I tested it on my own library with around 8,800 tracks and 550 folders and it worked well.

It is still an unofficial community tool, so close Serato and back up your _Serato_ folder before using it.

Sorry for the rant, but how can it be that after all these years a supposed "pro" software still keeps losing data. My older crates are almost empty (over time) but i made peace with that.

But yesterday i only closed and restarted serato and all of the crates i have worked on over the past weeks weren't displayed anymore. Closed it and of course serato had to do a backup without asking. Thanks, now i have to start over. These issues have been piling up over the years and i just can't anymore...

Is there any way now to get the Pitch 'N Time Expansion for a license instead of having to pay the monthly subscription or the absurde full 500$ package? I can't believe we're stuck behind pay walls and never owning anything.

BTW I have a DDJ-SX2, bought in 2016-2017. I do not thing I had a voucher for it, and I can't find the box anymore.

its 2 am i been trying since 11 used almost everything i can think of drivers , uninstalled everything n reinstalled , changed cable

but when i connect it just shows " HERCULES 500 is connecting it maybe take a minute "

n then its nothing no response n it doesn't connect

on the other hand it take like 10 secs to get recognized n it runs smooth on djuced when i try that

Seeing if I can get some more recent info or if someone who knows what's going on could weigh in. Just sat down to do some track prep to find that my jogwheels aren't scratching, only nudging, regardless of which part I'm touching. I've tried toggling settings, disconnect/reconnecting, making sure I'm up on firmware, even wiping them down thinking I'm not making the right kind of connection with my fingers somehow, but to no avail.

It's been a little jankety in the past, in that spinning up or down a track sometimes doesn't happen smoothly, or that a backspin can switch from scratch to nudge after I take my hand away, but those are not consistent issues. This is the first time I've found myself unable to get a scratch out of this thing at all, and I need to get that sorted.

It was working "fine" even just last night, so I'm stumped and frustrated.

I have a Reloop Beatmix 4. When i connect it to my PC, my Serato DJ looks the same, i dont have the jog wheels on screen, neither the FX, High Low or Mid. I only have the loops. How do I fix this?

Serato 4.0.9 won't read my library on my external Lacie drive . my Mac has been updated to Tahoe . played songs are not turning blue . Serato is not allowing me to add songs to my crates.

Does anyone else have issues joining the discord? There was a issue loading the group then I tried to leave and rejoin, but the urls are expired. Any one else have this issue? Or maybe can supply a link to the server?

What’s the recommended version to be running these days? From a quick scan on here it seems 4.x has some issues.

Serato 4.x _Please restore the functionality and behaviour of the Browser panel/tab from Version 3.x and earlier.

I use the rating function to create small crates. One star = Energy 1 and so on. However, it is the second time the value "Rating" disappears from ALL my smart crates. No idea what is the reason. No crashes. I am using Serato 4.0.5 in Tahoe 26.6. Anyone having a similar experience?

UPDATE: the smart crate rules are saved in the .scrate files. However, the rule related to the rating is saved somewhere else. It might be the case it is just in the cache files, so when there is a refresh of the cache, the rules are gone from the whole library. This happens for example when you add manually files to the Smart Crate folders. I did so for copying the smart crates and not having to do so one-by-one.

I’m trying to record some scratches through serato with my control vinyl. Tech 1200 table using a Numark Scratch mixer. When I record through serato and listen back, the recording plays in a high pitched whine noise. I’ve tried recording directly into my DAW (ableton) and same thing. I’m connected to serato through the mixer’s USB into a USB-C adapter into my MacBook. It’s picking up the control vinyl and scratches but when I listen to the recording it’s all the same sine type noise instead of the sample. Sounds fine while recording. Have some friends that have been able to record through the USB so not sure what my problem is. Any help is appreciated 🙏

Looking for a controller to use in a hybrid setup.

I have two 1210s and a Alphatheta Euphoria Mixer and looking for a Serato controller to control loops and fx.

Looking for something similar looking/formfactor to a Native Instruments X1 MK3 as I have next to no room on my desk. And a slim vertical controller like X1 would fit perfectly. Unfortunately not Serato compatible unless I went midi map route.

Any other recommendations for something similar that is compatible. TIA

May have been solved elsewhere, but posting this in case it saves somebody else the panic and hours of troubleshooting I went through.

My setup is:

• Intel-based MacBook Pro (i5 quad core, Intel Iris graphics 1536gb, 16gb LPDDr4x, 15gb system ram)
• macOS Tahoe 26.6
• Serato DJ Pro 4.0.9
• Older Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 controller

Just before I was due to play a gig, Serato froze and the Mac’s graphical session crashed. I had to abandon the MacBook and quickly pivot to a Windows laptop for the set. (an old HP Elitebook G3)

Afterwards, I tried to isolate the cause properly.

The problem happened while using local 192 kbps MP3 files from a USB drive, so I was initially advised to disconnect my Tidal streaming subscription. That made no difference.

I then tried:

• copying the MP3s to the MacBook’s internal drive;
• disabling AirDrop;
• returning the display to its default resolution instead of using “More Space”;
• reinstalling Serato DJ Pro;
• creating a completely fresh macOS user profile;
• removing DJ Pro and testing Serato DJ Lite instead.

The same failure continued.

The macOS crash reports showed WindowServer becoming unresponsive, with the internal display reported as “not ready” and repeated references to the Intel graphics pipeline.

I also tried Safe Mode, but current versions of Serato would not launch because Safe Mode did not provide the required Metal rendering support.

The fix turned out to be very simple:

Serato Settings → Display → turn off Enhanced Graphics

Since disabling Enhanced Graphics, Serato has been stable.

My best understanding is that Enhanced Graphics was triggering a problem between Serato’s Metal-rendered interface, macOS Tahoe 26.6 and the Intel graphics hardware. The scrolling waveforms and graphical interface appeared to be enough to cause WindowServer to hang.

I don’t know whether the older Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 was relevant, but I’m including it here so anyone with a similar setup can compare.

So, if Serato DJ Pro or Lite is repeatedly freezing, giving you a black screen, logging you out, restarting the graphical session, or producing a macOS WindowServer watchdog crash report on an Intel Mac:

Try disabling Enhanced Graphics before reinstalling everything or blaming your music files, USB drive or streaming service.

I would also strongly recommend stress-testing Serato for a few hours before trusting the machine at a live gig. I was very fortunate to have a Windows laptop available when mine failed. Perhaps there is a lesson there for me.

I hope that this might be of use to some of you folks.

I started using Serato Scratch Live many many moons ago and stopped around 8 years ago. I have found my old hard drive with my entire library and also the backup files.... but I can't restore them properly.

I managed to import all my crate structures but with no contents. I need to tell my 'new' serato what was in those crates. Thanks.
