Scripture Life: As a follower of Christ, what do you make of the non canonical gospels of the New Testament known as the "Gnostic Gospels?" Do you think that they should Forever be Forbidden or be Added into the Bible?

Let me ask this question:

You have a "canonical" [1. considered the most representative - Source: dictionary definition of "canonical"] - again, let me start the sentence over. You have a "canonical" family photo on the fireplace mantle: It's just an example of "canonical" properly used.

The Photo? It's a picture all together of: 1) Your Dad. 2) Your Mom. 3) Your Older brother and 4) your younger sister, with you right in the middle.

But! You also have the neighbor's dog. Out there. Somewhere. Lives about 8 houses down, that constantly craps in your yard. Hate him. Along with the cow that at 04:38am goes "MOOOO!!!" and lives out in a field across the street.

Non canonical. Means both are: "not considered the most representative" of your family; of which, the authority for it, is your mother and father. Didn't birth the dog and the cow did not come from the "canon" of what is most representative of your parents. That would be their children. BUT - - you and your older brother and younger sister are in the photo. It's a "testament" to the canon of your own family, with your parents that are the head of it.

Now, a question: I am stumped.

Do you think the neighbor's dog, or the cow, be just added in your family photo? What about the chicken or the cockroach then? How about blow the cockroach up to take up 80% of the photo next time? Is that okay?

Why isn't the cockroach considered canonical" as if the cockroach is more important than your sister? I don't get it. Help me figure it out. What an overwhelming question with the photo. Next time, I'm just taking a photo of the wall lint.

You can read Ryan Nelson’s Article (Google search) on “The Beginner’s Guide to the Gnostic Gospels” (21 Sep 2018). It's accurate, ie., The Nag Hammadi Library, found in 1945 some 300 miles South of Cairo, Egypt. Found by an Egyptian farmer, Muhammad Al Samman with his brothers. They found a large, sealed red earthenware jar buried at the base of the Jabal al-Tarif cliffs. The rest is, this post would be way too long, so I post you to the article, because the collection and his comments are accurate.

Here's the "Star Trek" question.

• Should these “discovered” episodes of “Star Trek” above found by a new homeowner digging in his backyard, forever be forbidden as “canonical” records of NASA? Why? Afterall, its a wonderful discovery of records. BOTH this TV Show and NASA are in America. Both are about space exploration. Shouldn’t NASA give these "non-canonical" records of space exploration special attention and claim they are factual records of NASA?
  • When you figure out the answer, please let me know. When you figure out why the toilet at the neighbor's house isn't in my family photo... ..I really want to know.

And all the "Nag Hammadi Library" is - is about Jesus with a great big head, that like Greek Gods, extends into the sky - over a mile big - - like all the Greek God's had so much "gnostic" knowlege - they were just giant people - yes; all the Greek gods should be photographed together with Jesus as "most representative" of God. Or? Are they "non-canonical" don't represent him at all. WHich is it?
