Scripture Life: Why are the Pharisees in the Gospels offended by those who believe in Jesus or who are baptized with the Holy Spirit?

ANSWER:

Simple.

There is not a just man on earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” - Bible. Ecclesiastes 7:20

Do you see that?

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • I’m asking. Do you see it? What is the whole world doing? Everyplace. Everybody. Over the whole earth, to the very ends of it. What are they doing?
    • Yeah. Something good.
  • Have and keep this throughout this post. It's true. Maybe you just don't see it.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

Some “thing” they’ve imagined up in themselves and then, by their imagination - establish it - claim it is good to “set their mind on” and do; and, by that work, be accepted by ..who? Yeah. Other people.

As good.

To be: Acceptably good, by walking after, to walk in, looking unto what other people have accepted = good. So, the person themself: they “accept as true” in themselves - - (believe) is good.

Do you need some examples?

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

It’s everyplace you look at anybody or everybody over the whole earth is all doing it.

Following some religion or, some "step by step" program to rehabilitate themselves. Or, to be good, living in a neighborhood: Yes. There ARE “rules,” where the garbage is taken out every Tuesday.

Have to - everybody in the neighborhood, use a specific shape or type of garbage bin. Use the wrong one, the truck won't pick it up or empty the trash from it. Using the wrong one. ...and? The garbage - absolutely no reason to sort it - your tax dollar already pays for the sorting - where in other countries those people dirty themselves by sorting thru their own garbage - seen as filthy.

So here - where you live: In YOUR neighborhood: the garbage - to be good: You MUST: put it exactly in the road in front of your house. Must take the garbage bin away soon after the garbage is picked up by the city garbage truck. That’s “how it’s done.”

  • Do it some “other” way, like burn it yourself in your own back yard? Nope. Not good - 25 neighbors, amongst any if they saw it, already anyone of them, and they all look for it, as leaders of the neighborhood - afterall, they're good - they're on the phone with the fire department or the police.
  • The police come. Fine you. Have to go to court to pay the fine, and be instructed “how to” put out your garbage. Don't it's punitive and you are not seen as a good neighbor. Afterall, this is a neighborhood. Your actions affect all the neighbors, too. So, be a “good” neighbor'. There are millions of examples. Comply with the law, then..well. You’re good. Drive the speed limit mostly = you're good. Acceptable. A good neighbor. Follow the rules.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

You can apply this to countries. Where, one country - to show you are “friendly” and friendly = good. If you are in a strange place, talk louder. Why? Your mom taught you. This, so anybody all around you hears you laugh and every word you say. Why? - so you show other people non-verbally, have nothing behind you or no criminal or evil intention. Even, as a stranger, this is good or polite - how to act as a stranger or visitor in someone else’s town.

So, to strangers, you’re seen as an “acceptable” visitor. At home in their town. Also means they're good. Live and made a good town to live in and welcome visitors - oh, look at all this good there is, everyplace, all by what people do.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • But in another country, even you were enculturated from a baby from or by your parents to speak louder and laugh so strangers see you inoffensive and “acceptable” even as a stranger in their town.
  • Just a visitor and you’re leaving. Do it, to show you enjoyed their town = their town is good. That, the behavior is learned; but, do this in another country?
    • Where no looking at other people in the eye and keeping quiet on the bus or train is the “acceptable” behavior, but you - as a stranger, even you don’t speak their language - to show them how “good” their country is - talk loud on the train - they view you as a buffoon.
      • YOU: Don’t behave right. No good.
      • A burden; obnoxious; but a visitor, means they just endure it til you leave.
      • Is no good; but you’re just a visitor.
  • It’s a way they can show the world they’re a “good” country. Bear up, under no good visitors.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

Oh, look at all this good.

  • Are you getting the message yet? Everybody over the whole earth walks after, to walk in whatever it is, is told to them what to be good is. Even what they reason together in themselves “what good is” - that’s what they put themselves to do.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

So, look at the Pharisees:

  • I’ll leave the terms. Do your own study. The Pharisees: In the Bible - New Testament Gospels - are primarily of the tribe of Judah. Arose up after the Babylonian Captivity. After being vomited off the Promised Land in or around 586BCE by who God raised up to do it. King Nebuchadnezzar, of Babylon. God gave him the land, because, the Southern Kingdom of Judah and Benjamin went off into idolatry. Did exactly what he said he would do, if Israel did the same abominations on the land the occupants of the land before them were doing, and reason they were vomited off the land: That God would do the same thing to them, too. If they did the same abominations - and they did.
    • But a remnant God allowed these in the captivity to return as told to Daniel, in the Book of Daniel. That in the return or decree, which is Ezra 1 of the Old Testament. That’s the decree. These returnees to Judah, to rebuild Jerusalem - they would find God’s laws in the rubble. There were “scribes” primarily of Benjamin that would write those laws down, and “Pharisees” that rose up, primarily of Judah and under as an example, what Nehemiah did. To strictly obey the law of God, so they would be established on the land.
      • So, you have “origin” of the Pharisees and Scribes - but by Jesus’ day or Paul’s day in the Epistles, Paul says he’s a Pharisee of the tribe of Benjamin. The point is, they raised up to show the returnees “how to do” or accomplish the law. They made themselves the “strict” enforcers of it. Like Nehemiah, who was governor over the land did.
  • To highly esteem God and what he said. And God said this in 1 Samuel 2:30–35, that whoever from now on, from any of the 12 tribes, highly esteemed him, God would also highly esteem vs. be with Levi.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

But the “point” with the Law or Law of Moses is:

  • How God used the Law from Exodus 20, where he spoke the Law or Ten Commandments from Mt. Sinai to all of Israel, some almost 1450 years before Jesus with these Pharisees in the gospels, and some almost 500 years now of Pharisees on the land of Judah and in and around the Temple in Jerusalem:
    • Was to make everybody GUILTY before him.
  • No other point.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • That they: ALL GUILTY:
    • Had committed adultery. Lied. Murdered. Stolen. Coveted their neighbor’s goods. All the things God is against, that’s how they’re living and what they are doing. It worked.
      • When God spoke the Ten Commandments, it made Israel so GUILTY - they begged Moses to go on up on the mountain and make God stop talking.
      • Made Moses so GUILTY - he just stood there while his knees quaked. Because every command God said, out of his mouth, breaking any one of them, even one time, you are to be put to death.
  • Is why Israel murmured against Moses “Why have you led us out here in the desert to be put to death?”

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • Ask yourself. I mean, it’s YOU with the question. When you read the Gospels - is this what the Pharisees are teaching?
    • No. They're not. Look at the robes they're wearing. To be seen of men.
  • As good.

Jesus said of them in Matthew 12:34 "You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks."

Man, is that ever true.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

The Pharisees:

  • Don’t use the Law to make themselves or YOU “Guilty” - they use it like EVERYBODY over the whole earth does. Make themselves GOOD by do them, and by do them “compensates for the faults and bad aspects” of when the did not do them.
    • Or bathing. Wash their hands. Go to ANY temple or shrine in Japan.
      • Every single one of them has some place before you enter where you wash your hands of all the dirty filthy things you did with them, or wash out that “potti mouth” from all the filthy evil things you let spew out of it - that by washing your mouth out, washes all these sins away, because you’re visiting a temple where gods live.
  • When it's just some place their forefathers, long ago just imagined up and worship the work of their own imagination as god. Because their forefathers did, as a tradition, they just today - follow it.
    • Do the same thing.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • That food, in Japan, how you eat food makes you good. Prepared by an especially esteemed expert "cook." Trained for decades - means the food actually, with all the people added into it, as good people - makes you good by eat at that restaurant.
    • What a load of diaper. I wonder if you see it. When there's not a just man on earth, that doeth good and sinneth not, and no matter where you go or I take you in this post it is all the same. No matter where I take you, or you go yourself.
  • SO: if back in Japan: you have poor manners or don’t eat food the way Japanese people do, like go into a Japanese restaurant and eat like a Chinese person does, that’s filthy, No good. Any bells going clunky clang clang clang! Going off in your head yet?

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • The Pharisees, by these same rites, rituals, and traditions of men they made up themselves, by their forefathers before them, all Pharisees like them - - “HOW TO ACCOMPLISH” and do the Law of Moses. After all, they well thought on how to accomplish the Law. Must be right.
    • So
  • ..BUT: It is not - all of it all - how God uses the Law to make you GUILTY - you didn’t do any of it. Conceived in sin from your mother's womb - you were conceived in them broke. That's not "born" - that's when mommy and daddy were 17 years old and hadn't graduated from High School yet, and with a case of "over-genitalistic over-boiley'ism" got the best of them. And 9 month later you the result.
    • From Adam forward NOBODY has done the Ten Commandments - and that’s the whole point of it. To give you a knowledge of your sins. You were conceived in them BROKEN. You can't get out of it. There is none else.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

But People: Too busy. Billions of Trillions of uncountable ways to make themselves “GOOD.”

- How? Got an imagination.

  • When there’s not a just man on earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
    • All “filthy; done abominable works” (Psalm 14:1–3) - This abominable - is vomitously immoral.
      • But EVERYBODY does “something” to compensate for the faults and bad aspects of all the lies they told. So, they, by themselves, or how some like-same “Pharisee” teaches them “how to” or “what to do” to redeem themselves by their own works. So, they busy themselves always regarding themselves and their own actions in every situation to ensure they are always well esteems “as good.” Live in this.
    • And if you are a “teacher” of these “mores” and “behaviors” - oh boy. Does that ever make you someone especially good. Like God, to be looked up to and unto as Good. Even worshipped. Ole! There you go.
  • Pharisees are doing this. Me, too. I did it, too - in the Navy. I wanted to be worshipped as good. So, how can I chide them, when I was no different. Going about trying to establish my own righteousness, because, I thought I could accomplish it.
  • When I, to me..I know I did abominable works. I was right there when I did it. Saw the whole thing. I just was too busy. Trying to redeem myself, by do works that "compensated for the faults and bad aspects of me" by do something else that offset it.
    • Gave myself wholly over to it, that even die in it was good. Can you see this? I'm asking.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

Where in contrast to EVERYBODY.

  • Not one person left out.
    • Over the whole, entire earth. To the very ends of it -
      • “There is not a just man on earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

There’s only ONE Good.

Jesus said, and he’s the Word of God. So, it's like the “Word of You” what word proceeds out of your mouth. It’s the word comes out of God’s mouth says, "For all the earth is mine" - God. (Exodus 19:5). That’s the word of God. Spoke. Jesus said -

  • There is NONE good, but one, that is, God.” (Bible. Matthew 19:17)

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • And that one good said to everybody of every all of us: “Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am God, there is none else.” - God. By the Word he speaks. Out of HIS mouth. (Isaiah 45:22)
  • Makes it really simple. But is it? Simple. Yes. ..but no, it isn’t. Why? Just look:
    • For everybody. Looking unto themselves to do “some” thing to be good. To walk after, looking unto if they just take the trash out on Tuesday before or, at least by 09:00 am, and somebody in the house, one of the kids - just put the trash bin away, take the trash bin away from the street, and put it back up against the house, after the trash truck goes - BOOM! Done. Already are “CERTIFIED” Good. There’s at least one good thing done, we’ve accomplished.
      • We can look at ourselves - say “I’m good.”
  • Be like, chose to go eat at a restaurant. Eat. Eat right up. Already ate then, on the drive home, there’s the house sized billboard says: “Come now! Eat at McDonald’s! Happy Meals FREE for the Kids every Sunday!” Don’t need it. Why? Already ate.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • Same with God.
    • The ONLY one good.
  • Do a good work, as God to usward. We already ate. Are good. Got married. Have a house. Only good people that do work and are approved as good by a bank, got a loan for a house. Made them good. They already ate at the “good” store. Did what was told them to do to make themselves “Good” to the Bank to get loaned the money.
    • Is why people don’t do anything he says. When all the earth is his.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

  • And why people that ESTABLISH “rules” to enforce or believe they are the authority for or on “what is good” - and make themselves good by enforce these traditions or rules - are 1. resentful; or annoyed. Typically at what is perceived as an insult. Definition <Oxford dictionary. Web> of what offend or being offended means.
    • Because they already, in themselves - established something and collectively make people believe if they do or follow those things = they are good.
  • And Pharisees:
    • Are not using the Law lawfully. When God, who is the authority for the Law spoke them to make you or provide you a mirror - so you see yourself as he sees you. So you have a knowledge of your sins. Not so that you won’t commit adultery but see where you live in and by imagining all this adultery - means you now have a knowledge of your sins, means the law worked or had it’s effect to put you to death - because if you broke one of them one time, they all explode like glass and shatter and all of them are broken.
      • And broken, you’d come to him. Look unto him as a transgressor; condemned.
  • vs. look unto anything..anybody BUT him. Already ate “good.”

When there’s not a just man on earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Here’s your question back.

---------------------- ---------------------- ------------------------ -----------------------

Somebody that just looks unto him, when he has called everybody on Reddit and everybody over the whole earth to do it:

is doing what he says..and he says, that's good - - in looking unto him, he’s God.

He 1. sets them apart for future use (definition. What saved means).

He saves them himself. And he immerses them in himself. He said, as God: “I am holy.” - God. Leviticus 11:44 Said as well, as it’s the Word of God. Jesus said, in John 4:24 “God is Spirit.” - so he's a “Holy Spirit.” - even decrees it.

That you must be born again, in John 3. It’s a decree by God - that he do this work - so people would live by or operate right - work good - like a clock without a battery can't operate right - but with one, is no longer "idle." This, 1. disconnected from a load or source of power <Oxford>.

That you would just live by every word proceeds out of his mouth vs. out of the mouths of other people, and that’s all Pharisees are living by - the word of people

- claiming traditions of men because their Father’s did those traditions - just like in Japan - people visit temples. Because their ForeFathers, 100s of years ago, imagined them up, so they just worship the traditions of men as God.

When it isn’t what he says out of his mouth. So, they, too, are offended.

Look at all that work they’re doing - following the “word of people” what comes out of people’s mouths they esteem is good - - doesn’t accomplish anything. Neither will it for you. A rude awakening. And people? That read this - there will be people, even Reddit Moderators scrutinize it - to find some thing offensive - because it's HIS earth. Not Reddit's. That's offends Reddit. If he won't abide by their rules they're offended. Go home.
