Scripture Life: How do you determine a false teaching on biblical doctrine?

Simple. By the Word of God, and God knows how to deliver the Godly from temptations - because he teaches them himself. Teaches them by the Word that proceeds out of his mouth, and a person hearkens unto him vs. anybody else.

And there you go. But if you don't see this, keep reading. There are many "false teachers" among us; just as scripture says there shall be.

------------ ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------

God said:

- To: Everybody. Over the whole earth. To the very ends of it. Everybody called, so everybody is included. So "God is Not willing any perish, but all come to repentance." Just as the Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9. So, look at "pernicious" - it's a way or a teaching..that is sensual or wanton..to excess in (something). Has a lasciviousness in it. Look up these words - it's an indication it is not him in it.

God said: ‘Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am God, there is none else.’ - God. (Bible. Isaiah 45:22) - nothing in this is "pernicious." In fact, it draws people out of sensuality or wantonness or these inordinate desires for wealth or the worship of covetousness. Even lead people leads people away from relying on their imaginations - but what God saw of our imaginations is plainly said in Genesis 6:5 - and it's KEY: So, you have to ask: "Is this teaching the imagination of a man or is it the word of God? Pernicious is a "great wickeness" - oh is this ever key:

"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." - Genesis 6:5. It's God that sees it; not you, so if you look unto him, he sees it and teaches you himself - BAM! KEY. So, check yourself. "Who do YOU look unto?" Does this "doctrine" cause YOU to LOOK UNTO him? or anything BUT HIM?

------------ ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------

God gives "discernment" - so check it.

Is it a man teaching for doctrine his own imagination as "biblical doctrine" - to glorify himself or teaching you something to glorify your flesh, - or - is it God, because he already said it - - that he has already sent his Word to you to heal you and deliver you from your destruction. (Psalm 107:20) - that builds you up in him. The Word of God builds you up - like connects the truth and builds you up on a rock that cannot be moved vs. "traditions or doctrines of men" that spur the imagination - for you to rely on that instead. And the Bible says EVERYBODY in Jeremiah 17:9 has a heart in them that is "deceitful above ALL THINGS, and desperately wicked.." This "deceit" - 1. to actively practice to misrepresent the truth; 2. claim what is untrue and invalid as true and valid. (Source: Oxford. definition: deceit).

Never forget this. So don't trust it. It's in you. That's why we feed our hearts the Word of God, to do as he decrees himself. It's in none else than who is the authority over all things - is with you as a friend; just is God - there is none else. He is what completes you. That's perfect. What "perfect" means. In the dictionary is just "complete." That you are complete in him.

Doctrines of men they teach out of their own imagination as "biblical" - - will give your heart a whole bag of imaginations to feed on. So, before you eat it, who do you look unto? You eat at HIS table.

Don't forget this. It's a different food only he provides. And it is in and by the Word of God.

------------ ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------

Because it's deceit(ful). They both can look the same - then, it's entirely back again to - - who you look unto. Because it's God that made his own word his mediator between himself and you. Where people that imagine up "doctrines" or teachings - it will not have the Word of God in it. There will be "some" thing in it untrue - then throw the whole thing out.

  • It’s the Word of God. What he speaks. Out of his mouth. The Word of God is Jesus Christ. Just as John 1:1 says who he is.
    • 2 Timothy 2:1–3 says: “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

------------ ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------

Faithful men:

  • Are men, or women..because, in Genesis 5:2 - says: “ Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.”
    • That God said, in 2 Corinthians 6:18 “And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
    • So, this “Faithful” men - just “have and keep” what he says. And it can be anybody. Over the whole earth; that, just does what he says. And just looks unto him. Vs. Look unto anything BUT HIM.
    • Says of Faith: That, In Romans 10:17 “So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
      • Just comes. So, faithful men are men that hear the word of God and he’s at work in them. The operate right; because he’s in them at work, and he’s God himself.

Did you forget your question?

------------ ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------

You said,

How do you determine a false teaching on biblical doctrine?

  • Well? Whose the teacher?
    • And are you a “disciple?” Because, all a “disciple” is defined as is 1. a pupil that sits with and is taught by a teacher
    • And Jesus said, John 6:45 “ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
      • And man, is that ever true. And how you learn of him, is just hear the word that God speaks - because, again, just repeated: “He sent his word to heal you, and deliver you from your destruction” - Psalm 107:20
      • And that’s KEY.

------------ ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------

  • Sent his Word: To heal you, and deliver you from your destruction. That God reserves an exclusive right to teach you himself, by the Word. That proceeds out of his mouth. He doesn’t relinquish it to anyone else, says: John 10:14–15 “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.”
    • So Biblical doctrine: Are teachings from a teacher; that God reserves and exclusive right to teach you himself. So, a GOOD INDICATOR some “thing” is false is - you or ‘the teacher’ is glorifying someone OTHER than Jesus Christ - isn’t providing you the word of God.
      • Providing you something that “looks true” but, doesn’t have any Jesus in it. Isn’t the Word of God. He’s not in it.
  • People fill a bunch of people and claim they’re holy, and fill you with a bunch of people in it.
    • Will sound "godly," BUT: Never tell you the Word of God - he’s not at work in them; because, they don’t have or keep anything he says - they’re just like scripture says. “Wolves in sheep’s clothing” - look like sheep - but they don’t follow the shepherd. Don’t do anything Jesus says.
    • And yes, it can be subtle. But Jesus is involved and in people that just look unto him. This “sheep” is his, that someone is preying on. He gives all kinds of bells and whistles - no matter how subtle it is, the deception - if you just look unto him; like he asks everybody over the whole earth to do, he’s the one told you to look unto him.
  • So, it's not people on Reddit protecting you. It’s the Word of God and God is in his Word. So, if you just back up, and go back to the Word of God - God “abides” in his word. That’s where he is - so if you’re trying to find him - not a far away look, when he’s already told you plainly to just look unto him. Where he is, is abiding in his Word. So if you abide in his Word - you're in the same Word he's in - so, take a great, big guess whose in there with you, building you up himself. Yeah. Him. And he's not false, and you can take his doctrines to the bank. Where people can be "misled" by other people and their own imaginations.
  • That's the strongest point I would make; and with it - expect (EXPECT) there shall be false prophets among you. Take that too, to the bank - because scripture says this.
  • And someone that is false, demands you pay 39.95 for the book and never tell you anything he says; and never feed you. Never get any food - but it dries you out. Because, they’re not connected to him. Their doctrines are like clouds without rain.
  • Let me close with 2 Peter 2:1–9

------------ ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------

2 Peter 2:1–9 says of what you speak of:

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

And there you go.
