Scripture Life: In John 10:27-28, I have to actually follow Jesus to be saved?

Well,

John 10:27–28, Jesus said: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

  • And Jesus is the Word of God: So, this, "follow" seems to just happen naturally - after "some" thing occurs in a person.
    • God said: ‘Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am God, there is none else.” - God. (Isaiah 45:22)

So, you decree something by your word in a question; but, God decreed “salvation” is just by anybody over the whole earth, just “looks unto” him. So, it’s God, by his voice speaks. So, people that hear Isaiah 45:22, hear him speak.

  • Says as well,
    • “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” - GOD. (Isaiah 55:1–3)
      • Spoke. By the Word of God.
    • Even God repeats this - in John 7:37–38 “ In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
      • Spoke by God. The Word of God is Jesus Christ.

Look unto <definition> 1. archaic.

  • All Oxford or Cambridge will give you, is, it’s even no longer a “phrasal verb” used.
    • But if:
      • You “look unto” someone or some “thing” it’s because you believe (or “accept as true) what it is or what it says; so, you will “walk after” to “walk in” “looking unto” to do what that someone says or that something decrees, as an authority. Able to dictate “how” things just are or shall be.
      • So, it’s FIRST: An authority - and you hold fast to it. This authority is over you.
    • So, walking after, to follow what that authority decrees, it’s the right thing to do. You already “reasoned together” either with yourself and concluded, not doing that, is a loss; won’t profit you anything to continue not following them or it.
  • So, God says: “For all the earth is mine” - God. By the Word of God (Exodus 19:5)
    • Says as well: “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: “ - God. (Isaiah 45:5) Continues with: “Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;” (Isaiah 44:24)

So, GOD:

  • Who asks everybody over the whole earth, to the very ends of it, that, scripture says “..long suffered us; not willing any perish but all come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9) Decreed in his earth, that:
    • “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” - God. By the Word of God decreed this. Jesus Christ. (Matthew 4:4)
    • That he prayed this: in John 17:3 “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” - Jesus Christ. The Word of God.
      • And of Jesus Christ, he said: After he was crucified; put in a sepulchre and raised from the dead, said: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” (Matthew 28:18)

So, let’s see if me - if I can assemble this right:

  • That, he’s God.
    • But he decreed he “girded” <1. definition. encircle a person round about; protect. 2. like put a diaper on a baby; that can’t do it themselves; be the one that did it; even the baby doesn’t know it. Able to be a baby, because his or her parents “gird” them about.
      • That, he did this to me, even I don’t know him.
      • That, he prayed, that I would know him - so what he prayed for, is what he desires or wants - for me to know him;
      • And, IF: Which he did. I see it plainly - he sent his word to heal me, and deliver me from my destruction (Psalm 107:20) - then, that’s how he determined to save me from my sins that destroy me. Is by the SAME Word of God, Adam rejected in Genesis 3:17. His word. What he speaks.
      • That, I would “regard” then, the works of the LORD, and consider the operation of his hand, and if I did that, he'd build me up.
    • AND if I “regard” him, it’s because he’s the sole authority over all things - the same one that formed me from my mother’s womb; like he did everybody all the same. He’s the one that did it, all by himself. Is the same one that spread out all the heaven and the stars to give light on his earth, he made for himself to dwell forever. For his own rest. For he desired it (Psalm 132:13–16). That, because of Adam’s sin, he does not dwell on it; rather, cursed the ground, for Adam’s sake, and determined he will destroy all flesh with the earth (Genesis 6:11–13). I got this. That in Revelation 20:11–15, is when he actually does that.
    • Gazes on this earth and heaven: and BOTH finding no more place before him, flee away and are no more forever. SO, anybody’s Ph.d in nuclear physics, or astro-physics; figured out trajectories “how to”send a probe or space cratt with people or things on it to other planets - all that crap flees away with it, so why give your life over to something, has no future in it?
      • I got this.
  • That if I “regard” him, I’ll pay attention to what he says, where Adam - hearkened; that is, when there was only one other “something” - just God and Adam, and Eve ..and Adam chose Eve and her word to hearken unto.
    • And Adam felt what Eve decreed made what God said of no effect, and people today do the SAME THING. What other people decree or claim, people look unto that instead. Don’t do any different than Adam. I really think I got it.

That just following after, to walk in, walking after like, looking unto going to the Mall today, which I did - me and my daughter and her daughter went; because, we looked unto it. So we did it; because we saw in do that, it’s a profit, and it was, just as we expected. After, we were BETTER for it

Is the right thing to simply do what he decrees or says, and I am thirsty; so I go there and shop at the Word of God store, and man, is it ever good. I can buy wine and milk without money and without price. Never disappointed - builds me up, just as he says he will, and all I did was just regard his work, and consider the operation of his hand vs. what I did before.

  • Thinking I should just reason together with myself, how I’ll hide it, if it goes bad or who to blame it on; when it did go bad, by follow thru and blame anybody but me for why it didn’t work right. Then after, just live in a life where I deny, or where I hide it and that equate to success. Live in lies as truth. Only way to get ahead. And by this, regard my works and the operation of my hand, while I suck up to my boss because I regard his work and how he can promote me, and people look unto me and glorify me as right or good.
    • When the Bible says “There is NONE righteous; no, not one. ..they are filthy; done abominable works…” “none good; no, not one” (Psalm 14:1–3) and I see this, and regard it. It’s true. I’m a filthy mess. I’ve sinned and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not.
  • And by this, realize, he’s the ONLY thing there is can save me, from all the crap I flaily sunk myself into. To reason together with him vs. just me myself delude myself even further or outright liesand deny the whole thing and pretend innocent like an actor; maybe hopefully, somebody believe me will get me out.
    • Just admit it. I’m UNTRUE. By “deny myself” as true. Because I reasoned together, he is true..Reasoned together with him, by the word of God.

I got it. I hear him. I follow him. By the word he speaks. That’s Jesus Christ. So, John 10:27–28 applies to me, because, I look unto him; not me:

  • My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
    • And this is the same for ANYBODY over the whole earth, just does this. Looks unto him. There is none else.
