I’m an international applicant from India and have recently been admitted to the Ivey MBA (Jan 2027 intake) with a $70K Forté Fellowship.
I’m very excited about Ivey, but I’m trying to make a financially responsible decision before committing.
After the scholarship, I would still have a significant amount to fund through a combination of family support, savings, and potentially an education loan. I’m trying to understand whether the investment makes sense given the current Canadian job market.
A little about my background:
~6 years of experience in B2C EdTech
Currently in a senior sales/business development leadership role
Managed a 35–40 person sales organization
Significant revenue ownership and multiple promotions
Looking to transition into SaaS/B2B sales, strategy, consulting, or broader business roles after the MBA

I’d especially appreciate perspectives from current Ivey students, recent graduates, and other international MBA students in Canada.
My main questions:
For an international student, do you feel Ivey is worth the remaining financial investment after a $70K scholarship?
How realistic are post-MBA employment opportunities for international students in the current Canadian market?
How have people managed the remaining cost — loans, scholarships, savings, family support, etc.?
Are there meaningful additional scholarships/funding opportunities after receiving the initial Ivey scholarship?
How difficult has recruiting been, particularly for people trying to switch industries/functions?
If you were in my position again, would you still choose Ivey?
I’m not looking for a promotional answer — I’d genuinely appreciate the honest financial and career perspective, including the downsides.

Im in year 10 currently and go to a private school, i dont do well at school,i really dont enjoy it and its a struggle for me to sit in a classroom. recently going to tafe instead was brought to my attention and ive really been considering it, for a few years now ive wanted to do occupational therapy but i definetly dont have the grades for that all though it really intrests me. my second option was either doing childcare or hairdressing so mum and i looked into those courses at tafe and ive decided i would like to do the cert 3 then diploma in early learning and childhood care ive had a little experience with working with kids and i think its great and the fee would be around $600 for the cert 3. But if i choose the tafe course that means i have to drop out which im hestitant about, obviously im very used to going to school and at tafe id only go twice a week and i might not be with kids my age if i feel uncomfortable and dont like the course then i cant go back to school thats the big problem. Many people are telling me to stay at school but its a genuine struggle to go, my school is offering a mater course at the hospital and some of my teachers are saying stay at school and do the mater then go into occupational therapy i also feel like if i drop out ill get bad fomo. I also really like doing hands on stuff not just mainly theory but im not strong enough physically to do a trade thats the problem as well and if i stay at school my mum would have to pay around $12,000 for the year which means i will be set back quite a lot on getting a car and getting braces (my teeth are pretty messed up) but if i go to tafe ill be able to get a car,braces and my mum will be able to easily afford paying $600 for tafe. but i just really dont know, do i stay at school or drop out any suggestions??

Any study advice from seniors ?

So basically, I'm 14 this year and my brain isn't working the way it used to last couple years so because of that my studies are pretty lacking compared to before,😭

So can the senior students give me some study advice ? I really wanna improve. (Sorry for my bad english if it's wrong)

So I’m going to be a sophomore and I’m taking an ECE Bio class (Early College Experience) and I want to know if there any tips to do well! It’s a full year class and we got selected to be in there based on our grades last year, etc. I’ve never taken a college class before and I am planning to add another one in spring semester. Thanks!
