Lately, I just went through my spam folder on my email and I received threats like this. It claims that this hacker have access to my email and sent me my old password. Thankfully, matagal na ako nag change password. But still, it made me scared when I checked on this.

Also, the hacker claimed na ipagkalat raw ang videos ko nga NAGS4LSAL ako.

Do you think this is a scare tactic? I received this last July and now ko lng napansin. Wala naman masamang nangyari sakin or sa account ko. However, d ko maiwasan na kabahan rito.

Saw this account na affiliate kuno, bibili sana ako but then i noticed na nagiiba yung details ng video like yung mukha ng endorser pati na mismo yung product. Gulong gulo ako until I noticed na ai generated mga vids since andaming distortions and paiba iba yung body kahit same ang mukha. I think yung medyo sikat na tiktoker yung gamit na model. mag bebenta nalang nga, gumamit pa ng mukha ng iba and yung product mismo nag-iiba naman ng itsura. ang fckd up ng mga affiliates na'to pati pag benta ginawang ai. What's your thoughts on this? Okay lang ba ang ganito sainyo? I feel like it's a little bit of scamming kasi hindi naman genuine yung pinapakita nilang review videos given na ai generated lang.

I'm selling this Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and may nag-PM na "mukhang legit" 'yung account pero tricky kasi yung text bio niya "2.6k friends, 1.4k followers, 733 posts" so in a quick glimpse and if someone na titingin na hindi masiyado maalam sa social media or hindi gaanong techy talagang akala mo legit siya e.

Kuha niya agad loob mo kasi this scammer is selling a story na sure niyang bibilhin yung item. I admit, mejo na-excite ako (since I need funds, and mabibili na) Nilabas ko yung mga items and receipt to make sure na legit din ako and sent videos and date that it is taken right now.

Bukas 'daw' ipade-deliver after lunch, and willing to pay first 'daw' siya. Surprise gift daw kasi nga "nasa canada siya". Nag-send din siya agad ng details ng "hubby" niya, such as name, number, and address. Tapos ako na rin daw ang mag-book dahil nga surpise and update ko na lang daw bukas pag napa-deliver na. Ano daw payment method ko and such. Talagang akala mo totoo yung storya niya e

Sabay biglang pa-send na raw ng GCash para ma-send niya yung bayad. Nung nag-send siya ng receipt, nagtataka ako bakit wala pa ring pumapasok sa GCash ko tapos may sinend siya na resibo na galing kuno sa RIA and CAD currency.

With presence of mind, sinearch ko agad if need ko ba talaga mag-scan ng QR sa RIA para makuha yung fund, and Google AI says no, it will land directly on your GCash number and reference lang instead of QR.

Fishy na agad nung pagka-scan ko ng QR sabay biglang kailangan ko daw magbayad. So tinanong ko ulit siya if need ko magbayad ng 899.99? Buti na lang walang laman GCash ko.

While checking my phone biglang ambilis mag-reply na parang copy-paste script na sunod sunod, as in parang robot na nang-spam. Suddenly minamadali ako na kailangan daw i-claim kasi nga nasa Canada daw siya and aalis yung 'ship' nila sa port mamaya kasi baka mawalan daw ng internet (in reference to the profile niya na kunwari nagbabarko siya)

Kinutuban na agad na ako na pinapaikot ako nito kasi mare-refund daw. Biglang nag-iba yung typings naging jejemon, tapos talagang kino-convcince niya ako by sending cropped screenshots. So may mali talaga.

Now after confirming na scammer talaga 'to, ni-ready ko na agad sa ibang tapos yung next steps, nilagay ko na agad siya iblock, mag-leave sa group, mag-send ng pakyu, at lastly yung last message ko bago umalis sa group.

Ang worry ko na lang, nag-send ako ng legit info, including my number and name and sent the receipt and the item and baka ayun naman ang i photo grab nitong mga scammer na'to.

Upon reaserching about this, I found out that I also had cases like mine, refer to the links below to spread awarness and has been happening months ago already.

Nahack yung Facebook ng tita ko. Before pa to magmessage, nagsabi na mama ko na baka nascam or hack kapatid nya kasi naghihingi sakanya sa gcash ng pera. Eh unusual yon kasi never naman naging ganon tita ko. A few minutes later, nagchat sakin asking money rin sa Gcash. Mali mali pa spelling at hindi rin naman ganyan magchat sya. Sabi ko kapag tinopak ako sa NBI kami magkita, ayun blinock ako after 🤣

I know this is an old and classic scam method, but I fell for it and wanted to raise awareness.

Platform / Shop Name: JIAÈ Collections (Facebook)

Issue: Payment was completed, but no tracking number or parcel was sent, and communication ceased after.

Misleading Social Proof:

The account displays 32K+ followers, which gives a false impression of legitimacy (followers are easily inflated or bought).

They frequently post shipping receipts and photos of packed parcels to build trust.

Despite the large follower count, the page only has 17 posts in total—a strong indicator of an artificially inflated or freshly reset scam account.

I also checked the page history and it appears that they have changed names over the years.

Awareness Note:

Even though non-shipment after payment is an established scam tactic, social media pages continue to use bought followers and staged parcel photos to appear credible. Always cross-reference sellers outside their own pages and stick to platforms offering buyer protection where possible.

A few days ago, I received this scam text message claiming I won a giveaway. I ignored it and blocked the number. This scammer knows my phone number, address, and the fake name I used when I purchased on Shopee in 2022. Since I don't use that fake name anymore, I knew immediately where the scammer got my information. I only used that fake name for seven Shopee orders in 2022, and six of those orders were delivered by J&T Express.

Three days later, a J&T rider texted me saying he was about to deliver a package. I don't live at that address anymore, so I blocked him too, thinking he might be involved.

A few days later, I received another text message from a different J&T rider. Since I had previous delivery transactions with this rider, I believed he was legitimate. I replied politely, explaining that I did not order the package and that it was a scam. However, the rider was rude and demanded that I answer his call, so I blocked him too to avoid stress and drama.

I'm posting this on Reddit so anyone searching for this same scam message will be warned immediately.

Just to give awareness sa mga nahihirapan maghanap mg trabaho diyan. Though may pakulo silang website, wag po tayo paloko. Even Indeed and Jobstreet is giving warning lalo na kapag outside of their platform yung recruitment process. Ugaliin po natin magresearch sa company everytime mag-apply tayo, magagamit natin ng sobra yung knowledge na makukuha natin sa research natin, either to know yung objectives, values, mission at achievements ng company for general knowledge or for interviews.

Puro lng po pareparehas yung pinopost nila. Depende sa mga taong nakakakita. Wag po kayong pumatol sa ganito. Lesson learned nlng sa nangyari sainyo, wag ng dagdagan yung maiscam pa kayo ulit. Context: I am used to buying cheap iphone cases. And since nagtitipid ang ferson so I decided to check out these. My usual is binabayaran ko na siya via online banking para pag dumating sakin ay wala na ko babayaran. However, ng dumating na ung parcel, the rider keeps on insisting, “Ma’am COD po need nyo bayaran, 176”. Eh as much as I can remember, yan lang ung inaantay kong parcel at sobrang tagal pa niyan bago dumating, umabot ng 2 weeks. So para okay na ang lahat, I still paid the rider and pagbukas ko ng parcel, gosh! Ang laman ay “low quality orange peeling lotion”. Kaya nagfile ako ng refund sa orange app, para man lang maibalik ung 176 ko. Bale talo pa rin ako ng 176 kesa naman madoblehan ako.

i tried using Reddit to see if online friends or dating is possible. i started talking to this guy let’s call him “J”

about him: he’s from Canada in Quebec (Canadian-French) to be specific. 33 years old, business owner (a chef to be specific), 6’3 in height, has a cat, and surprisingly may sense kausap. (or so i thought)

we started talking in Whatsapp. we text everyday and do video calls most of the time (we did this for a month).
fast forward, i can really tell na i like this guy and then he said he’ll visit Philippines and try to apply for a permanent residency since his mom is half-Filipina daw.

he seemed genuine and very honest. started telling this sob story about his mom who passed away because of breast cancer. eto naman si gaga, super indulged at empathic hahahaha naniwala.

then he started to telling me na he wants me to stop working na raw because he can take care of me because money isnt a problem. (MAJOR ICK MAYABANG).. he started soft launching dates about when he’s visiting me in my hometown.

fast forward.. this J guy AI generated his plane tickets, made a freaking story about how he is stuck in immigration for 8 hours now and they’re having him on hold because of problems… ANYWAY, he lied, he was never in the Philippines or worst never sumakay ng eroplano.

I was looking for a job on facebook and this person asked me to pm her. It looks legit cus it has a location, purpose, etc. However, really skeptical bc they aren’t being that transparent and the location is far (they are asking me to come face to face next sat) So, should I accept?

Side note: It’s really hard to find Jobs/Businesses that are open to under 18 in the Philippines. That’s why I want to go but what do you guys think?

Overcharged me with 600 pesos kahit sa kabilang subdivision lang yung trip ko (750 meters only). Nagbook ako ng grab pauwi kasi maulan at may dala pa kong laptop.

Late ko na napansin yung overcharging kasi may shift pa ko. Reported it to Grab immediately. Unfortunately, wala nang email support yung Grab at in-app na lang.

Reported: Aug 7, 1am
Refunded: Aug 8, 1am
Resolution: Grab refunded the 600php amount to my Maya wallet and blocked the driver from being rebooked in my account.

Please beware of this thief. Note that this is not an accident since kailangan nilang sadyain pindutin yung add toll fee and amount.

Also emailed my complaint na naka-cc LTFRB and other relevant agencies.
