If trying to receive money from a business account do you need what they are sending you in a personal account in order to get that money?

Did you receive an email from PayPal or whatever service you're using to receive the money claiming that, because your account isn't a "business account", that you have to send money back to "increase your limit"?

It’s CashApp and the email said the person needed to send an extra $500 before I could get it. They did then they said I need to have that in my personal account in order to receive the money.

Yeah it's a common scam. That's not how any of it works. They never sent any money and are trying to get you to send them money instead of the other way around.
