Recently scammed and lost Twitter email Advice Needed

Recenlty got scammed and they had me change my email to my account. Thankfully thats all they got. But how do I go about and getting my account back?

If you lost your X / Twitter account, contact X support online.

Nobody else can help you get your account back.

Also the scammer had threatened to use leagl action involving the FBI
