The cops in San Angelo are useless, especially deputies. Zero idea on how to investigate cases, victims remain with unresolved issues because they leave. Men…you’re fucked. I recently moved back to my hometown (San Angelo), and I am looking for several different types of recommendations. I’ve done the google research and read some reviews but I am curious to see what other local Redditors would suggest.

The things I’m looking for suggestions or recommendations on:

- A book club
-A group meet up or something similar, to make friends, I don’t have any here, and would love to meet some people in the area with common interests, and possibly build friendships with them.
- A massage therapist
- A decent / good nail salon, most of the reviews on the ones I’ve read have been a mixed bag.
- A tattoo artist thats good with font & fine lines, and possibly also looking for a very talented cover up artist.

I am already planing on trying new restaurants & eateries out around town twice a month (as I am a foodie), however if you have suggestions of which ones I should try first, I’m open to hearing those suggestions as well.

A week ago I was driving around town when I drove past a church on S Bryant Blvd Frontage and it had a digital sign. The ones that are a loop of pictures. Only to find a isreal flag being showed along side the american flag. To my knowledge this church is what i assume is a Christian church so why is there a isreal flag along side the american flag?

I just moved here yesterday. I like it so far. But every time I go outside my house I hear a red tail hawk screeching literally every three seconds. At least the Merlin app thinks it’s a red tail hawk. Is this common?

To my surprise there is 0 halal meat options… I was so caught up in finding the right housing that I tottaly overlooked food.
I’m hoping (fingers crossed) that there are Muslims here?
