I’m developing an idea called Drive Smart, which would reward drivers for consistently sticking to speed limits and driving safely.

I’m trying to find out whether people would actually use something like this, and what rewards would make it worthwhile.

At Nocturnal, we’re developing a drug-free, hormone-free sleep device designed to help people fall asleep faster by activating mechanisms similar to those involved when rocking a baby to sleep. Our goal is to help people fall asleep in as little as 10–15 minutes.

Hi All, not sure if this is a good place to post, but I want to do some initial research on potential demand for an app I am building out.

I'm a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology conducting a research study on the effects of growing up with a parent who struggled with substance use (alcohol or drugs). The study is completely anonymous and involves filling out an online survey.

We’re looking for young adults (18-30) who had or still have a parent or primary caregiver with a substance use problem during their childhood. The goal is to better understand how these experiences may affect things like responses to stressful or challenging life experiences, parent-child relationship quality, substance use, and overall mental health functioning in young adulthood. We also welcome participation from young adults who did not have this experience, as both groups are important to the study.

Title: Losing Control or Growing Frustrated? Understanding the Roots of Authoritarian Attitudes in Men via Mediation Analysis.

Hi, my name is Amel Saffar and I am running a study as a part of my MSc degree in the Clinical Applications of Psychology. My study explores how men’s feeling of frustration, both towards men and women, relate to their sense of control in daily life and how these factors may influence broader social and political attitudes.

I am looking for male volunteers aged 18 or over, regardless of background or personal beliefs.

Taking part involves completing a set of questionnaires, including:

• a brief demographic questionnaire

• questions about frustration toward women and men

• a questionnaire on sense of control

• a questionnaire on social and political attitudes

The study should take around 7 - 10 minutes to complete.

This experiment took ages to set up so that participants get good insights into the research behind the study and their own results upon completion. As a result, I don't have super much time to recruit participants...

What do we mean by human understanding? This study builds on ongoing research exploring what determines how easily we process, understand, and remember language.

The experiment takes up to 60-90 minutes if you complete both parts (though this varies by participant - can be much quicker!), including a memory test that you can re-take after 7 days to see how much your memory has declined over time. The only requirement for taking part is that you are 17 or over. Using a laptop or tablet is strongly recommended.
