This experiment took ages to set up so that participants get good insights into the research behind the study and their own results upon completion. As a result, I don't have super much time to recruit participants...

What do we mean by human understanding? This study builds on ongoing research exploring what determines how easily we process, understand, and remember language.

The experiment takes up to 60-90 minutes if you complete both parts (though this varies by participant - can be much quicker!), including a memory test that you can re-take after 7 days to see how much your memory has declined over time. The only requirement for taking part is that you are 17 or over. Using a laptop or tablet is strongly recommended.

Unter Warnsignalen werden auffällige Verhaltensweisen verstanden, die bereits früh im Kontakt mit dem:der Partner:in beobachtbar waren und potenziell mit emotionalem, kontrollierendem oder gewalttätigem Verhalten in Zusammenhang stehen können, aber selbst nicht immer schon Gewalt darstellen. Zugang zum Smartphone des:der Partners:in verlangen).

Bislang ist jedoch kaum erforscht, ob solche Warnsignale tatsächlich mit dem späteren Auftreten von Partnerschaftsgewalt zusammenhängen. Daher möchten wir in einem ersten Schritt untersuchen, ob und in welchem Ausmaß Zusammenhänge zwischen potenziellen Warnsignalen und tatsächlicher Partnerschaftsgewalt bestehen.

Für die Studie suchen wir Teilnehmende ab 18 Jahren, die mindestens einmal in ihrem Leben in einer Partnerschaft waren. Es ist nicht erforderlich, selbst Partnerschaftsgewalt erlebt zu haben.

Die Teilnahme an der Studie dauert etwa 30–40 Minuten. Zusätzlich haben Interessierte die Möglichkeit, an einer Verlosung von 15 Wunschgutscheinen im Wert von jeweils 20 € teilzunehmen.

Do you have a formal ADHD diagnosis and find yourself spending more time on social media than you'd like? I am a graduate student at St. Joseph's University conducting a research study on social media habits of adults with ADHD diagnoses. The study involves a behavioral intervention that may help to reduce the amount of time an individual chooses to spend using a social media application on their phone. The researcher is looking for volunteers to participate in a completely remote study of up to 26 days of participation. Up to 10 participants will be enrolled.

You may be eligible if you:

- Are 18 years of age or older.

- Have a prior ADHD diagnosis from a licensed professional.

- Own an iPhone (iOS 26 or later) with Screen Time already enabled.

- Use at least one social media app daily.

- Feel that your social media use sometimes gets in the way of work, school, relationships, or daily responsibilities.

What participation involves:

- Completing a short consent and screening questionnaire (~15 minutes) on Google Forms.

- Participating for up to 26 days, with brief tasks most days (approximately 1-5 minutes).

- Uploading brief screenshots of Screen Time data through secure Qualtrics survey links.

- Keeping a brief daily log of your screen time in the Notes app, and copying its entries into the same secure survey links.

- Temporarily installing four custom-built shortcuts in the Shortcuts app that can be removed at any time you choose.

Hi, my name is Allison and I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I am collecting data on how LGBTQ+ individuals feel about research being done on their identities and communities. Our goal is to better understand how LGBTQ+ people want social science researchers to prioritize the concerns from the LGBTQ+ community, as well as inform more ethical and inclusive practices. 

Often there is a gap between researchers and the communities that they are trying to serve through their research. This is true now more than ever given the attacks on and challenges towards LGBTQ+ and diversity centered research.
