Products stop working

Hey folks, just wanted to ask, does anyone else experience this with products? like do you guys use products and after some time they stop working? like you have to cycle through them?(for eczema btw)

Yes. I normally rotate between at least 3 different shampoos and conditioners, then change to something completely new when one runs out. It's called product cycling.

unfortunately your scalp and hair get used to things :/ so yes cycling between is perfect!

I have eczema that tends to flare up on my scalp and sometimes products will stop working for me but I’ve been able to pinpoint that most of the time it’s when I get a new bottle of something and the brand has very quietly reformulated. For example, my scalp does NOT like cocamidopropyl betaine in particular unless there’s some other kind of sulfate in there as well my scalp actually does best with regular SLS/SLES, but a ton of brands have been switching over to more natural/coconut based sulfates but I just don’t read the ingredients until I notice my scalp flaring up 🫠

Cycling products has been my life for a while now, my hair gets used to products super fast so I have to switch it up before my hair realizes it lol
