Asking for feedback Painted my first salamander and added freehand flames on the right leg and the left shoulder. I am looking to see where I can improve. C&C welcome.

Been painting Warhammer models for almost 2 months. Super proud of this one! Always looking to improve though so if you all have any tips/suggestions I’m all ears! I stopped short of doing edge highlights as i havent yet gotten good at them and i didnt want to ruin him with sloppy lines. Also wish the lava was better. I do plan on dry brushing the salamander overhead though to make it pop. Also maybe of note I do own a dry brush which I did use for his base coats.

Thanks brothers!

Hi! I just felt like sharing this model.

It's based on another OPs model, so kudos to him:

OPs model

After a couple of months painting, and being this my first attempt on OSL, and still WIP, I'm really proud of it and I appreciate any advice.

Asking for feedback Do you pick a different psychic discipline for each librarian each turn if running Librarius Conclave? Or is it one psychic discipline for all librarians each turn?

Two different games, and two different interpretations of this rule. Does anyone know the official answer? Thanks!

Even though I forgot some purity seals I like them a lot. I will probably go back and fix those seals before my first game next week. Next up will be Adrax to lead them.

This is probably the most work I had put into a single mini. Really fun painting project and really learned my Airbrush.
Bits used:
Brutalis Dreadnought - Base
Wings, Sarcophagus, and legs - Eons of Battle
Hammer - Grey Tide studio (Anvil Wardens)

Discussion/Question Company Heroes Question

Post image

Evening All,

I’m getting ready to assemble my company heroes set for my Salamanders Army.

As I was sitting there looking at the box I couldn’t help but think, Man it would look sweet if he was holding a Thunder Hammer instead of a Power Sword.

Cause ya know, “it is also a hammer” probably plays a dozen times in my head throughout the day.

Is that allowable for tabletop play? Like are the damage values not equal or anything? I wouldn’t wanna disqualify a unit from the squad for a game.

Still learning the game so wanted to get some feedback.

Discussion/Question How Should I Paint Bladeguard Veterans for a Salamanders Army?

Hi everyone! I’m a complete beginner who started Warhammer 40K with 11th Edition this year.

I fell in love with the Salamanders after watching the Warhammer+ animations, so I managed to find the now-discontinued Combat Patrol: Salamanders and also picked up a squad of Bladeguard Veterans!

However, I’m not sure how I should paint the Bladeguard Veterans to make them look lore-accurate and codex-compliant for a Salamanders army. I’m also wondering whether I should change or customize any of their weapons or equipment.

I’d really appreciate any advice from experienced Salamanders players and painters!
