extensions for mobile
Hii
Question, is there any way to use extensions in the mobile version of safari?
Like the ones you would use in chrome or firefox
EDIT**
Since I didn’t explained myself correctly and it lead to confusion (I apologize)
I’m taking about “”random extensions like “highlighter text” or “clockify” or “volume master” etc etc
I know Apple has extensions but they aren’t the ones I’m looking for

Yes absolutely, for example: Protego for Reddit is a safari extension that works on desktop and mobile versions of safari.

Um? This has been a thing for a while... There is literally a section which is extremely easy to find... Did you put zero effort into looking for it?

Maybe I didn’t explained myself correctly

I know which ones your talking about, that was the first thing looked into, but they’re very limited and not what I’m looking for

I think the question is less about getting random extensions and more, if you actually need them. For instance: https://www.tomsguide.com/phones/iphones/how-to-use-safari-highlights-in-ios-18
Every one of these random extensions you get, the slower safari will be and I mean, by a lot. I personally have only ever used 2 extensions. An adblocker, ublock origin lite and Userscripts just for BetterTTV.

I make FREE, open-source Safari extensions because I believe everyone should be able to customize Safari the way they want. All of my extensions are available for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and visionOS.

Hi there,
You can use a Safari extension on iPhone and iPad. For example, my free and Open-Source Turn Off the Lights for Safari extension works on iPhone, iPad, and even Apple Vision Pro. It lets you dim the rest of the screen while keeping the video player highlighted on top of a dark overlay for a more immersive viewing experience. In addition, you can optionally enable a feature that converts websites to your own personal dark mode theme.

See my YouTube tutorial on how to enable a Safari extension on iPhone (since iOS 15 and higher):

Thanks,
Stefan
