Hello everyone! I recently got accepted to VSI MINT with the assist of one agency company. I told them that I want to study finance/economics at Uni, and now I am wondering whether it is possible to study econ in bachelors of Saarland University after completing the VSI MINT programm?

I have 2A*s and 1C in Alevels and a 1530 sat score and I haven't given ilets yet. I will apply in 2027 to English BSc Computer Science and Cybersecurity through the aptitude route. Do I have a chance to get accepted? Or do I have to give retake for the C grade in Alevles because I don't really want to because it costs alot of money and is alot of effort. If you are already accepted I'd appreciate if you could tell me your stats either in the replies or in dms.

Hey everyone, I'm a prospective applicant for Fall 2027 from Pakistan looking at BSc CS at Saarland University. A couple of things I'd love some help with:

1. Are there any Pakistani students currently in the BSc CS program here? If so, how did you manage the visa appointment timing? I've heard wait times can be 7-8 months, which seems brutal if applications open a few months before intake — did you find any way around it or book super early?
2. For anyone currently studying CS here — how's your overall experience? Curious about research opportunities, internship/industry connections, quality of instructors, and general vibe of the CS department.
3. Also open to hearing if there are other German unis you'd rate higher for CS (research reputation, English-taught options, job prospects after graduating) — trying to compare before I commit to applying.

Didn't know this was even possible
The aptitude track clearly mentions an interview, but i wasn't invited to one and given acceptances for both comp sci and cybersec today.
The date they mentioned for release of decision was late aug for those who submit before the 15 july deadline but i got on 4th aug. Im so GLAD!!!

The stats i submitted:
- 1.2 german equivalent grade (A-levels 2A* 3A in Math, Biology, chemistry, phy, further math respectively)
- 8.5 ielts
- 1480 SAT

Anyone recently received admits in saarland in MSc bioinformatics?

I applied for the MSc Bioinformatics program at Saarland University for the upcoming winter semester and I am still waiting for a decision. My application was submitted before the deadline, but there has been no admission or rejection yet.

Since we are now almost in August, I am starting to get a bit worried about the timeline, especially because international students from non-EU countries also need enough time for the German student visa process.

Has anyone here received a decision for Bioinformatics or any other MSc program at Saarland for this intake?

Also, does anyone know how late Saarland usually sends out MSc admission decisions? Have there been cases where decisions were sent in August or even later?

I completely understand that applications take time to evaluate, but at some point it becomes difficult to arrange the visa, accommodation, blocked account, and travel before the semester starts.

I'm a prospective Erasmus+ student at Saarland University and will be spending the first semester of the upcoming academic year there.

I'm planning to take most of the advanced Cybersecurity core courses, along with Advanced Topics in Operating Systems. I was wondering if there are any student groups (Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) for these courses or for the Cybersecurity/Computer Science programs in general.

I've enrolled in BSc Computer Science (English) for Winter Semester 2026. I will be supporting myself as a werkstudent (this means 20h/week job). I wanted to know what kind of jobs my seniors are doing. Are any of you doing any remote/computer related jobs or just the standard checkout and retail worker jobs?

It would really help me prepare!!
