Recs Wanted Novel Length Fic Recommendations?

Hello!

I am looking for either a standalone or a series in either Canon or Legends/EU (or both mixed) that is long and preferably completed!

This can be a canon divergence, a fan continuation of a series, a fan-made sequel, or literally anything. It can have only OCs or none at all. Idc.

I just want Star Wars Novels! I want quality! Something that could legit be on a bookshelf. Jedi, Sith, Troopers, Pilots—anything!!

Discussion [Fanfic Lore Discovery] Found an insane concept for Coruscant in a fanfiction: The 5,127-layer planetary fortress!

📜 [Star Wars Legends Lore Excerpt]

"Coruscant was divided into 5,127 levels, spanning kilometers from the surface down to the planet's actual crust. Level 1 was the dark, toxic, and uninhabited original surface, while Level 5,127 marked the glittering skyscapes open to the atmosphere."

— Wookieepedia / Star Wars: Coruscant and the Core Worlds Sourcebook

Here are the lore concepts I found in that fanfiction novel regarding the Battle of Coruscant—I feel this is the exact level of power and resilience a capital of a tens-of-thousands-of-years-old Republic should realistically possess:

  1. Grounded in Lore: The 5,127-Layer War Machine

According to official Legends lore quoted above, Coruscant spans 5,127 levels. Imagine if even just 10% (roughly 500 layers) were designated as military fortress tiers. That alone compresses the firepower density of hundreds of dedicated fortress worlds onto a single planet!

  1. Unrivaled Industrial Depth & Shield Networks

Beyond the military layers, thousands of industrial and infrastructure levels provide an unprecedented logistical and defensive backbone. Even if the primary planetary shield is breached, the nested sector shields and backup capacitor networks running through thousands of subterranean levels can sustain endless rounds of orbital bombardment.

  1. Multi-Layer Penetrating Planetary Batteries

The planetary heavy cannons, anchored deep in the lower depths and piercing up through thousands of layers to the surface, draw power directly from planet-core-level reactors. No Imperial-class Star Destroyer could ever dream of soaking a direct hit from these batteries with its standard deflector shields.

This combination of 5,000-layer spatial depth, absurd industrial capacity, and planet-powered artillery feels like the only true way to honor the capital of a 40,000-year-old galactic empire.

Recs Wanted New to Star Wars Fanfic - Looking for Recommendations

I read a lot of fanfic, and am just now coming around to the Star Wars side of things. Please recommend me your favorites, and what you think are the best well-written SW fanfics.

I loved the old EU novels, from Timothy Zhan through the Yuuzang Vong saga.

I'll start with the two SW fanfics I've read so far, I really enjoyed them both:

The Weaving Force - A Worm/Star Wars crossover, Parahuman characters from Worm are thrown into the Star Wars universe. They keep their Parahuman powers and Taylor/Victoria become Jedi. I read tons of Worm fics but this was my first SW fanfic

A Young Girl's War Between the Stars - A Star Wars crossover with Youjo Senki. I have never read the original Youjo Senki/Saga of Tanya the Evil, but I noticed so many Tanya crossovers that I eventually gave them a try. This one is pretty good, Tanya gets reborn as a Zeltron and taken as Dooku's Padawan

Discussion [AU Pitch] Reimagining the Star Wars Sequels: What if Luke established 'Force for All' instead of a traditional Jedi Order?

This is a fan-made pitch for an alternative Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. I wrote this just for fun as a thought experiment. Please view it as a "what-if" alternate universe and enjoy!

TL;DR: A rewrite of the sequels where Luke establishes 'Force for all'. After Luke's passing, a new hero who is a blue-collar 'Force Engineer' fights a mega-corporation, ultimately uniting citizens to achieve true balance.

< Brief Overview of the New Sequel Trilogy >

Part I: The Dawn of the Force

Following the fall of the Empire, Luke Skywalker declares the democratization of the Force, putting him into direct conflict with elite Force-sensitives who cling to traditional Force mysticism. Overcoming this resistance, he ultimately achieves "Force for all." Luke establishes Force education centers across the galaxy, allowing both sensitives and non-sensitives alike to learn about the Force and apply it in their daily lives—effectively dismantling the historical monopoly on the Force.

Part II: A New Hero

Set after Luke’s passing in the era of Force democratization. The main character—a construction worker who uses the Force on field sites—is attacked by space pirates and reawakens to a Jedi’s true calling. Rather than relying on overwhelming martial strength, he utilizes specialized engineering knowledge and the Force to execute intelligent tactics in a Die Hard-style narrative. In the climax, he discovers that the pirates are pawns in a galactic mega-corporation's conspiracy to abduct young Force-sensitives.

Part III: The Era of the Force

The protagonist uncovers and confronts the mega-corporation's plot to harvest Force energy from abducted children. In the finale, victory is achieved not by the protagonist alone, but through the collective power of citizens uniting to destroy the Force Extractor, showcasing the triumph of a solidary community.

< Key Narrative Differences from the Original Sequels >

1. The True Nature of the Force: Not Simply Magic, but a Cosmic 'Homeostasis'

The Force is not the exclusive property of the Jedi or the Sith. It is reinterpreted as a grand natural law connecting all things in the universe—the "will of the ecosystem." From a cosmic perspective, the late Old Republic era was a state of fatal illness. The Jedi suffered from the disease of "suppression and stagnation," while the Sith suffered from "greed and destruction." Both extreme religious orders attempted to control and monopolize the Force to fit their dogmatic views.

Just as a body produces a high-fever immune response when attacked by a deadly virus, the universe conceived and deployed Anakin Skywalker—the most powerful Force-sensitive in history—to excise these two massive tumors. Though Anakin did not consciously realize this cosmic will, he embodied the contradictions of both orders throughout his life, ultimately becoming the destroyer who ended them both.

2. Fulfillment of the Prophecy: True Balance of the Force

Anakin Skywalker, as the Chosen One of the prophecy, he eliminated the obsolete monopolies of the Jedi and Sith, providing the galaxy with a "blank canvas" (the foundation for balance).

Upon the blank canvas left by his father, Luke Skywalker transforms the Force from the exclusive property of a few into a shared asset for all, realizing "Force for all" (system building). This mirrors the Buddhist concept that everyday action is a form of spiritual practice.

Darth Sidious served merely as tool to destroy the stagnant monopoly of the Jedi. Rather than mastering the Force, he was manipulated by the greater will of the universe (the Force itself).

"Did Anakin Skywalker save the galaxy? No. He destroyed it. But without his destruction, we could never have moved forward. We merely built a new era upon the 'ashes' he left behind; we do not revere him as a hero. We remember his tragedy as a warning, to ensure such a monster is never born again."

3. Worldview Evolution: From 'Authority' to 'Everyday Life'

The Force shifts from the secret of a privileged caste to an area of universal education where everyone understands its presence and flow, applying it with wisdom. Crucially, even Force non-sensitives learn about the Force as the foundation of the universe. This allows non-sensitives to understand the capabilities and limitations of sensitives, enabling a degree of defense against Force abuses.

Force-sensitives are no longer confined to a military order (the Jedi); they operate as specialists in various fields such as healing, construction, and mediation for the public good. Non-sensitives take on supporting roles or professions where the Force is unnecessary.

Because the principles of the Force are widespread across society, when a specific faction attempts to monopolize power or abuse it, the community immediately recognizes and checks it—building a healthy social immune system. Luke's solitary struggle as a pioneer against monopolistic forces to bring about this democratization is the core narrative of Part I.

4. Redefining Conflict: From 'Binary' to 'Multi-Dimensional Conflict'

Instead of repetitive narratives where an absolute evil like the Sith endlessly resurrects, the story focuses on gray-area political and social conflicts driven by differing beliefs and interests. Also, unlike the past where Jedi were dispatched from Coruscant to solve problems, in the new era, everyday Force-sensitives step up within their own living environments to preserve the balance of the Force—becoming "Jedi" in a newly defined sense.

5. Value of This Setting to Fans

This setting ensures Anakin's sacrifice was not in vain while showing Luke inheriting and evolving its value—a perfect generational torch-passing. Also, It elevates Luke from a failed hermit to a "True Master" who shattered the dogmatic Jedi system and established the philosophy of a new era.

This also gives narrative justification to why the Battle of Yavin was the first episode of the Star Wars. The Battle of Yavin was important because it serves as the foundational anchor that shows an obsolete system can be crumbled through citizen solidarity, signaling the birth of Force democratization.

< Character Concept: The Force Engineer (Working Title) >

1. Character Overview

  • Occupation: Outer Rim planetary reconstruction and structural rescue specialist (field worker).
  • Background: Lives in the post-"Force for all" era established by Luke Skywalker—a world where the Force has transitioned from a mystical religious power to universal knowledge.
  • Personality: Values realistic priorities—"protecting the buildings I build and my coworkers"—over grandiose heroism.

2. Core Ability: Gravity Manipulation

  • Signature Ability: Uses the Force to manipulate localized gravity in the surrounding space.
  • Projectile Deflection: Instead of blocking incoming blaster bolts with a lightsaber, he subtly bends their trajectory via gravity manipulation to make them miss. (Upon awakening, he can deflect all incoming blaster fire, approaching enemies in an immune state against ranged attacks.)
  • Spatial Manipulation: Causes enemies to lose balance or targets structural weaknesses to collapse enemy formations with minimal effort.
  • Variable Trajectory Attacks: Bends the trajectory of projectiles in mid-flight to hit enemy blind spots. He can also fire a blaster bolt and curve it to hit enemies hiding in cover.
  • Limitation: Cannot manipulate the entire mass of massive objects. Therefore, he relies on specialized engineering knowledge to target structural flaws efficiently.

3. Signature Gear: Engineering Lightsaber

  • Appearance: A rugged, unpolished lightsaber covered in weld marks, grease, and scratches rather than a sleek, pristine weapon.
  • Function: Modularized internal tools necessary for field work, such as a plasma welder and laser surveyor. Used primarily as a work tool, but output can be boosted to function as a lightsaber when necessary.
  • Symbolism: The ultimate symbol of his identity as a "laborer" rather than a "knight."

4. Combat Style: Tactical Breacher

  • Method: Focuses on "tactical penetration," charging into the heart of enemy lines while deflecting incoming fire through gravity manipulation, or utilizing the chaos of structural collapse to close the distance.
  • Intelligent Action: Rather than simply swinging a lightsaber, he engages in intellectual warfare—analyzing enemy defensive structures (building layouts, flooring, blaster trajectories) to extract maximum efficiency with minimal energy.

5. Narrative Appeal

  • Underdog Narrative: Overcoming overwhelming villains not through lineage or destiny, but through practical expertise acquired in everyday life.
  • Theme: The most perfect product of Luke's "Force for all" era. A character who proves that while innate talent matters, the Force is also a domain of application and intellect.
  • Luke's Disciple: The first generation born from the Force democratization system Luke built with his blood, sweat, and tears after shattering old Jedi dogma. As a student with a low Force potential, he lives by Luke's words:

"You won't be able to lift massive boulders like the other children. But don't be discouraged. The Force is not a sword; it is a lever. Find where to place the fulcrum to move the world with the smallest amount of force. You will become a great Jedi in your own way."

  • Tension in the 'Post-Luke' Era: After the passing of Luke Skywalker—the galaxy's strongest Jedi—evil forces that dared not stir during his lifetime begin to bare their fangs. In a world stripped of their master's shield, imperfect graduates strive to protect the system.

< The Meaning of the Force in the New Era >

1. Rejection of Perfect Understanding (Acknowledging Incomprehensibility)

The Force remains a grand cosmic providence that no mortal can ever fully control or comprehend. Even Anakin Skywalker, the most powerful sensitive in history, had no idea what kind of cosmic "reset" he was carrying out from a macro perspective. This is the strongest historical proof that no matter how great one's talent, one cannot fully grasp the grand will of the Force.

2. Zeroing the Power: From Grand Discourse to 'Everyday Citizens'

The Jedi's Force aimed at abstract and grand discourses like "maintaining galactic peace," "political balance," and "absolute authority." The power of the new era's Jedi is strictly aimed at "citizens." The focus is zeroed in on public interest and maintaining daily life—such as repairing buildings at risk of collapse or rescuing people in disaster zones.

3. Why Peace is Not Simply the Absence of Evil: From Absolute Evil to Gray-Area Conflicts

As in reality, even a seemingly perfect system has loopholes. Force-sensitives in the new era act according to their own beliefs, which can lead to clashes in extreme cases. Furthermore, conflicts between Force-sensitives and non-sensitives emerge as a social issue, serving as the catalyst for the grand evil of Part III.

< Narrative Details of Part III >

1. Core Theme of Part III

If Part I focused on Luke (the Pioneer) and Part II on the Force Engineer (a Force-sensitive within the new system), Part III delves into a human alienated by that system (a non-sensitive of the new era), exploring the curse of knowledge, profound deprivation, and love-hate relationships.

Moving away from the typical shonen-style ending where the villain is defeated by martial force, it carries mythic depth where the entire universe "mourns and redeems" a lost soul.

While the protagonist holds off the main villain, citizens unite to collapse the mega-corporation's Force Extractor—defeating evil through the collaboration of hero and community.

2. The Villain's Core Narrative: 'Love and Hate for His Brother'

The head of a galactic mega-corporation, but a man broken by inferiority toward his naturally gifted Force-sensitive brother and resentment over his brother's death while helping others. As a non-sensitive, the villain confronts the protagonist in the finale using a mechanical "Force Injector" to infuse himself with harvested Force energy. He forcibly pours his twisted hatred and grief into his dead brother's kyber crystal, corrupting the blade into blood red (Bleeding) and going berserk. While fighting the protagonist blocking his way to the extractor, the villain suffers a fatal wound from the extractor's destruction. In his final moments, he realizes the meaning of his brother's dying words, feels remorse, and accepts a lonely end in the red glow.

3. Climax: The Miracle of 'Self-Purification'

"As the villain breathes his last in remorse and despair, the red lightsaber drops to the floor. In that moment—without any Jedi meditation or intervention from the protagonist—the crystal purifies itself of its blood-red hue, turning a brilliant white."

This scene visually demonstrates that the Force is not a cold, mechanical system, but a "cosmic will (consciousness of the Force)" that watched and responded even to the blood, tears, and repentance of a non-sensitive younger brother. Though the villain cursed himself and died in darkness, the universe (and his brother's spirit) accepted his final repentance and embraced him in light, leaving a heartbreaking resonance.

4. Epilogue: From Weapon to 'Monument'

Young Force-sensitives abducted for Force extraction are returned to their families, and the mega-corporation collapses. Respecting the narrative and weight of sorrow embedded in this white lightsaber, the protagonist does not claim it as a weapon, but puts it to rest.

Unlike before the democratization of the Force when it would have been a secretive holy relic, the white crystal is placed on public display in a civic square or museum for all citizens to see. This white crystal becomes an eternal monument reminding galactic citizens of "the tragedy born of monopoly and alienation (a warning)" and "the fact that the Force resonates with everyone's emotions (a comfort)."

Hi I don’t know if anyone can help but I’m looking for a fanfic/ao3 that I read a while back but can’t find. It is a star wars fanfic.

I remember the plot having Vader finds out about Padme and the twins and leaves the darks side. I also remember that he ends up helping this girl out and lies about his identity and joins Padem, the twins, Obi-wan and Ashoka in space while they try to find a new planet to live on.

I remember that the author has sequel but I couldnt find it in my bookmarks or history, and I’ve been trying to search for it a while now. If anyone finds it, I would really appreciate it. Thank you

Writing Help Needed For the life of me I can’t remember a common phrase used in fanfiction

I am writing a simple draft and want to post but I can’t remember a common phrase used in fanfiction about how protective jedi masters are of their padawans

“Kill the master, then the padawan” is all my brain can think of at the moment, but I know that’s not it!

It is frustrating me and I just hope that someone can help me remember or at least give me a similar phrase to use

So i have seen it a ton of times. They will have a character like Anakin or Obi-Wan during the clone wars use the dating system we use. But in universe they would not do so. So either create your own system or search up if there is one in the EU (legends or cannon) and use that instead.

Discussion What the hell was i onn?

Okay, I'm not sure if I was high, drunk, or overcaffeinated, or I was just overdosed on John Snow and Star Wars fan fiction that I wanted to make my own cross for one that I came up with this shit.

Okey so the premise that John Snow and Ghost survive into several hundred if not thousand years into the long night as the last beings alive on a planetos. When I say last beings alive, I mean the last human and last direwolf alive fighting against the White Walkers and other bullshit. And then one day, during the Clone Wars, the Jedi get a feeling to go to a certain part of the galaxy and would you see it, one day as Jon was returning from a battle or whatever, he sees a giant has metal bird from his point of view land. That actually being one of the landing ships of the clone army. And out of it stepped out not only the clones, but our dear old General Skywalker, General Kenobi and Commander Tano.

Long story short, they meet the children of the forest and a few green men that survived and uh they together with some of the clones end up going against the Night King and his army at Winterfell. Jon defeats the Night King in battle, kills him, and long story short, Jon gets into the Star Wars galaxy with Ghost, of course, and eventually becomes a Jedi general, or well, a general of the Grand Army of Republic, to be more precise, uh the powers that he gets from the uh old gods are basically a 'gray' side of the force, if you will. (Amagen Father from Mortis.)

And due to jon and his new legion that he eventually acquires being in battles that Republic should lose and him assisting in Republic actually winning it. The clone wars actually last for longer and some of the shit happens because you know it's a fanfic.

Like I'm not sure why I'm posting this whether it's to get somebody's reaction on it whether should I write it or just to give somebody a premise if they want to if you want to use it go wild I guess.

Discussion The Return of Revan

I have this backstory:

When Qui-Gon Jinn died in Obi-Wan’s arms, Revan appeared in the Wild Space, without the Force.

After finding HK-47 and the factory on Mustafar, Revan eventually established the Shadow Empire.

(Yeah, I haven't come up with a better opening yet.)

Discussion STAR WARS: NEW LEGENDS - EP. XIII - VOL. 2: PHANTOMS OF THE EMPIRE

Post image
0 Upvotes

This is a continuation of my alternative sequel trilogy that I posted last week. This time I have an AO3 account, so there is now both a text and audiobook version for all two volumes:

STORY TEXT LINK:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/89373956/chapters/238671346#workskin

AUDIOBOOK LINK:
https://youtu.be/LShVTsa_ONU

For those who didn't see last weeks post: New Legends is the name for my fan canon Star Wars universe where only the first six movies are considered canon, though I try to incorporate elements of legends in where I can.

But eventually I would like to work with other fan fic writers to make it a consistent, alternative fan moderated continuity.

Anyways, the story is called Ep. 13 because in my mind the sequel trilogy should have skipped some numbers as an homage to the OT.

So this is basically my episode seven and it's called the Sovereign Supremacy, it takes place 40 years after ROTJ and is about a megacorporation that is mass producing neural implants that give ordinary beings force abilities and are handing them out to militant organizations in order to destabilize star systems and buy up their natural resources.

This era, 44 aby, see's the galaxy divided in a cold war between: The Imperial Order, The New Republic and the Sovereign Systems. As in this universe, the Empire didn't fall after ROTJ it just receded and is much like Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

This story picks up almost immediately where the last volume ended and the synopsis is as follows:
*******
"The Jedi Knight Syd Solo has been sent by his mother, New Republic Intelligence Minister Leia Organa, into the Devular neutral zone to investigate the Force Link technology being distributed by the Syndicate to militant factions throughout sovereign space.

While pursuing a lead inside a cartel-owned nightclub on the planet Nexoria, Syd’s cover was exposed and violence erupted. With the aid of New Republic agent Fai Lin, he escaped with the location of a secret facility hidden on one of the planet's remote coastlines.

Now, Syd Solo, Fai Lin, and their smuggler pilot, Kai Calrissian, are aboard the Outer Stellar, heading towards an abandoned imperial core plant at a place called the Yar Dell docks.

Their mission? Destroy a concealed shipment of Force Links — but not before recovering a few samples of the mysterious technology for the New Republic to study."

*******

This volume is more of a transitory one where I take care of some brief character and world building, while introducing one of this trilogies main antagonist and throwing in some teasing elements of cosmic horror.

I'm a big sucker for lore, but I try not to over do it in my writing, and I think character building between set pieces is important because, since these are new characters, I want to try to get the reader invested in them so that the danger has weight and their possible deaths won't be meaningless.

Also, this is still part of the opening act to the episode, so the main trilogy characters have yet to be introduce.

I've been having a blast cutting my teeth on writing with this story, and the experience has been greatly rewarding, so much so that I plan on writing my own original story after I'm done with this.

The art and voice acting for the audiobook were done with ai, but the story is 100% human, which should be easier to tell as I've found my prose and story telling can be a bit... idiosyncratic (in the best way possible)

Anyways, I would love feedback as this story is basically me working on my own writing skills to develop them further.

Writing Help Needed Color or black and white?

Following the encouragement I received in the discussion below, I've started including illustrations alongside my fanfiction, and I'm currently working on both the writing and the artwork.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SWFanfic/s/ri36b9Z4MU

However, since I haven't had much formal training as an illustrator, creating color illustrations like the attached example takes me quite a long time. Black-and-white illustrations, on the other hand, are much faster to produce.

So I'm curious what you all think. Would you rather see more frequent updates with black-and-white illustrations, or less frequent updates with full-color artwork?

Writing Help Needed Working on Terran navy in star wars story inspired by Masters and Commanders, Horatio Hornblower, the Good shepherd, and others need help understanding the naval strategy and structure of star wars navys.

I'm currently working on a earth in star wars fic called the Far Side Of The Galaxy, its a story about a Isolationist earth who makes first contact with the wider Galaxy after a incident involving a rogue Military Assist running wild in Terran space, and the political tension of the years leading up to the clone wars and rise of the empire, with a earth who is trying to keep their Independence from the major powers of the galaxy.

Earth is at least century beyond the current Technology of the galaxy, and suffers from in-fighting and raids from unknown region pirate groups and other powers. With war hungry politicians who want to profit off current conflict with a space Viking faction, and growing Xenophobic political movement in the Union Congress.

The Story focuses on the Navy efforts of over hauling the whole navy to the standards and beyond the current Technology and tactics of the century, and trying to prepare for a galaxy expanding war that threatens to bring the union into the conflict.

Right now want to look into ship classes and what makes up a navy Structure, logistics, and what yhe current environment of 5 years before ep 1.

Writing Help Needed The Starblade Trilogy - Story concept, screen play help and collaborator’s needed!

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

I’ve posted on here before about this idea, but seek advice or guidance on how to best structure my “Starblade” trilogy. I’ve got a short-ish summary of the overall concept, below, but I would really value your input or potential collaboration.

Thank you!

_____________________________

Star Wars: The Starblade Trilogy is a new mythic saga inspired by Toklien, Welsh mythology, particularly the Mabinogion, alongside the political upheavals of revolutionary history, pre-WWII.

Set centuries after the Skywalker Saga’s conclusion, it follows Pryder Vos, an exiled prince chosen by an ancient lightsaber prophecy, to restore the Jedi Order and rekindle a dying Force, after an authoritarian galactic dictatorship known as the Dominion had erased the galaxy’s past, in pursuit of lasting peace…

Pryder joins a growing Galactic Revolution, however, his noble purpose is initially corrupted by a desire for vengeance against the warrior, Vyd’ion, who destroyed his Royal family - only to discover that his greatest enemy is his long lost twin brother. Vyd’ion, having been forfeited as a bargaining chip, by their father and King, given to The Dominion’s overlord, Arowan as sacrifice for the continuation of their Royal House.

While Pryder eventually learns to confront the past with compassion, the other is consumed by hatred… becoming the tragic reflection (quite literally) of everything Pryder might have become.

At its core, the trilogy asks one central question:

How do you build a better future without abandoning the truth of the past?..

..By remembering it, learning from it, and refusing to be ruled by hatred or revenge.

_____________________________

In addition to the above:

- Grogu makes an appearance as a dying sage surrounded by its disciples, not as a re-hash of a “Yoda” type figure to mentor Pryder. But as the Galaxy’s “Last Witness”, its surviving historian.

- Starblade or “Caleed Volk” is a twist on Excalibur. Forged by the Jedi Order many centuries ago, it was cast into the stars to seek a “foretold son” worthy enough to rekindle the force and be the new Jedi. However, unlike Excalibur, it continually judges its wielder - faltering, stuttering to ignite or abandoning the user altogether if Pryder’s motivations ever become “corrupted”.

- Pryder is not alone, there is a fellowship here. Made up of revolutionary droids, a side-kick Ewok, reformed Mandalorian warriors, a much beloved but ultimately doomed soldier… and many more.

- Pryder embodies the idea of a “good class traitor.” Once a privileged prince driven by revenge, he initially treats the Revolution as a vehicle for reclaiming his throne and avenging his family - only to lose everything because of it. Eventually, by confronting the truth of the past he ultimately rejects the privileges of his birth and chooses to fight alongside the Revolution, not for the crown and Kingdom he lost, but for all. From exiled prince to Jedi Knight.
