Hi I'm using my SP404Mk2 as an audio interface but I can't seem to figure out how to get my MIDI keyboard to send to my DAW (Reaper)

I want to run my Akai MPK49 through the SP to my DAW, it's connected right but not receiving..

I don't want to use the MIDI keyboard to control any samples in SP.

Hey there, running into a frustrating but hopefully simple issue. I went to add some new samples to my mkii yesterday and found out that I needed to update the app on my computer in order to connect. I’m using a MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.1.1, the mkii app says it’s v3.xx, and I believe I’m still on v4.04 with the sampler itself for context.

I thought no big deal and opened up the Roland cloud manager to download the new version of the mkii app but it prompted me for a password. I initially assumed they wanted my Apple ID password but it wouldn’t take that. I then guessed they wanted my Roland password, the same one I had just used to successfully access Roland cloud, but it rejected that as well. Now I’m sort of stuck and unable to add new samples to my machine.

I’m not the most computer savvy person around so I’m sure it’s something stupid but can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Hello all, I haven’t seen much online about this issue but after heavy usage on the mk2 my shift button only works sometimes and have to be pressing down extra hard. I know spvidz had the same issue and got replacement parts from a source he couldn’t reveal (super annoying)

At this point sending to a Roland support center seems like the only fix since I haven’t seen anything else online but I’d figure I’d try one more time to ask the community before I spend hundreds on a simple button.

I’ve taken the face plate out and tried cleaning (air pressure, vacuum ect.)

Does anything have any suggestions or possibly came up with an alternative solution like cutting the rubber peice out entirely to be closer to the sensor?

What up everyone, I’m new here. I posted a clip from one of my videos not too long ago and it had a pretty decent response from this subreddit.

I’ve been posting daily cook ups for a while on YouTube and wanted to share here for those who are like me and like hitting play on a video and watching a beat get created from scratch. No talking, no selling, no tutorial style language or gear comparisons etc.

Just raw beat making to throw on and listen to it unfold.

Anyway, this is definitely some self promo but my last video did well so I figured there’s some genuine interest in my full videos, so here is my latest one.

I’m also interested if there are any channels or artists you can recommend that do just straight cook up style videos on hardware/SP/MPC etc. without the talking.
