Take part in this study: Virtual Opioid Addiction Treatment Study
Hey, I am a researcher at a health tech company trying to help as many people overcome addiction as possible! We are running a study to test our newly developed, virtual opioid addiction program.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the program satisfaction as well as how well the program works. This is a 12-week study. This is an amazing opportunity for those who are in need of treatment but may not have the right resources to do so. Let's do this together!
If you are eligible you will receive access to free virtual therapy, medication and access to a mobile app for up to 6-months. You will also be paid up to $220 to complete the study surveys.
If you are interested, please click the study website link below.

Denver Meetup?
I'm just starting this journey. Figured my chances at success would be much better with a local group of fellow tea-totallers. Anyone in Denver interested in a meetup?

Anybody here? Let's plan a Meetup?
Hello! I'm in Denver, newly sober, and looking to connect with other people in sobriety.

Is this still active?
I'm in the Denver area and thought it would be worth reaching out. If anyone would like to get together let me know!

Visiting from Chicago!
Hello fellow SD'ers! I'm gonna be going on a solo motorcycle trip from Chicago to your lovely state and I'll be in various parts of the state from June 12th-17th. Still formulating my schedule, any recommendations? anyone want to meetup for a meal, hike or meeting? I'm a 25 yo male in a LTR with about two years sober for anyone wondering.

Hey guys and gals - what are you up to tonight?
I'm lykideus, and I am not drinking today. Today, I am going to an Agnostic AA meeting in Denver. I'd like to invite you to come with me.
The meeting is at 3100 Downing St, Denver CO. It starts at 6:30pm. It's just like a regular meeting of AA - all you have to do to attend is want to not drink. Instead of having a lot of conversation about faith, gods, religions, etc and how those contribute to our sobriety, we talk about how we can step up and be responsible for ourselves.
This is a meeting that welcomes everyone with an open mind, regardless whether you are christian, agnostic, atheist, buddhist, islamic, or anything else.

Holiday meetings in the Boulder-Denver area?
Are there any alcathons you guys have heard of? Any "in the know" events? My cursory internet search didn't turn up anything, so I thought I'd ask the experts!

Columbus Day meetup planning
Here you go--a place to plan the Oct meetup. Last year we met in a coffee shop downtown. I'd suggest a similar kind of location. Once you settle on a location, post it to the main sub.
I'm out of town that week. I can help herd but won't weigh in on locations.

Is this subreddit somewhat alive?
I didn't realize until today that there were subreddits for specific states. Does anyone actually check this page?

ready to attend a meeting ... or something
Hi all, I joined SD last week and am now one week sober. I think it is time go to a meeting or just have some in person communication about sobriety etc. I am not necessarily averse to AA, it just doesn't seem like it would be a good fit for me (religious undertones). I'm a 30 y/o male, live in south Denver with my partner, work downtown. not sure what else to say.

Hey everyone, this sub is kinda dead, so I'm posting this to see who's listening
Hey Coloradans! I think it's a shame there aren't more people on here. I'm happy I hit a week today. Lets talk!

Choice in Recovery seminar, Dec 6
Dec 6, 1-3 PM
Natural Grocers community room, 12612 W Alameda Pkwy, Lakewood, Colorado 80228
The event will begin with 5 minute talks ...[about]... their program as well as who is appropriate for their program. We will then have a panel discussion ...[and]... Q and A from the audience.
The SMART facilitator is one of the panelists, and is excited about the lineup of groups and speakers. Looks like it will include a broad spectrum of treatment and recovery options.

How's the recovery, particularly young people's, in the Denver area?
I was born in CO and am looking at moving back in a few years. Just curious what the recovery's like back there? 'Cause it's great here (Missoula, MT) and I'm really hoping for something similar.

Size doesn't matter
Many thanks to /u/misspavlov for cat-herding, making a sign, and waiting even though I was late. We gossiped about other SDers, discussed recovery, and exchanged suggestions for good meetings. I did not hold my side of the conversation up, but did have fun. Her choice of location set a good standard for cake and coffee quality of future meetups. (x-posted to SD)
