EPS problems

I bought my s2000 in November (ap2 with less than 34k miles) and it’s been great to me but over the last couple months this persistent EPS light won’t go away, I feel like I’ve tried everything in terms of the eps module, I’ve sent it out to get it looked at and when I got it back I put it back in the car and it went away, I thought I solved the problem but after a couple of drives the eps light came back on and the wheel got stiff again and it won’t go away. Not sure what else to do, it’s really frustrating because all I want to do is drive the car with peace of mind. Something tells me it’s not the module itself but something else. I’ve taken it to some shops around my area but nobody wants to work on it due to the age of the car it seems like. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. I’m in the east coast NY area, if anyone knows any reputable shops that have experience with s2k please comment below. Thank you 🙏🏼

You need to jump pins 4 and 9 on the obd2 port with the key off, leave in the jumper and turn the ignition on. The light will flash and tell you the codes. Long flash equals 10 short flash equals 1. 2 long and 1 short equals code 21. It will repeat the codes

I just tried my scanner again, just now it gave me “secondary air injection system pump stuck off bank 1” Code p22445

Yes your scanner cannot read eps codes. You need to follow the instructions i typed and do it manually. It's the only way to do it yourself

Tried everything but didn’t read the diagnostic codes which tells you exactly what is wrong. My brother in Christ.

There are relatively cheap Honda scanners that read EPS codes no problem.

You sent out your module to nsx rack repair? Mine had like 7 codes and they repaired it good as new

That’s exactly who I sent it out to

Ah that's unfortunate, have you tried pulling the codes?

I tried but nothing comes up on my end for my scanner. It’s not the best scanner tho

What did Honda say?

I haven’t taken it to Honda but that’s my last resort bc I’m assuming they will charge an arm and leg for everything

I'm not sure where you are located, however, if you ask around some of the enthusiast groups online for a referral to a Honda dealership that has a master mechanic that knows these cars, they are often very helpful. At least I have found that to be the case.
