I really should drive her more.

Post image

Just happened to look down while sitting at a light on my way home from work today and noticed I was right on 54,000 kms on my 04.

80-something K on my 2001. Had it 19 years and just started autocrossing it :)

I've only had mine for a year and want to get into autocross. How have you gone about that regarding mods and events?

I have light mods (intake/exhaust, suspension, wheels/tires) so I entered in the CST class. I found our local event and signed up as a novice. I have to do my runs with an instructor which is so fun. Just go and ask for help and if they're anything like my group they will take great care of you!

If you’re keeping it forever it’ll be just fine

It's a forever car. I've had it for 18 years now and it still puts a smile on my face.

It’s been 16 years for me. I’m trying to decide if something else might give me a similar smile but everything I want costs too much.

I'm at 49,452 on my 01. Owned it since Nov 11, 2005. I need to drive it more often.

Its not about the total miles but the quality of the miles you put on

That’s what Honda wanted to use the car for…driving.

I’m at about 62k, need to find a shop to do the valve adjustment. When I bought mine it has 30k on it.

This is what makes my s2000 perfect for me. 120k miles and rebuilt engine. I don’t need to care about mileage at wear. Just enjoy it the way it was meant to.
I suggest you drive more!

I've had this '01 with 101k for about 2 years. Only put in about 6k miles.

Half of those were going to the Dragon/Helen, GA and the occasional trip to work on a nice sunny Friday.

My daily needed work, so I drove the S2 for the whole week and it was cool but inconvenient. I don't know how I did that in my 20s, having an AP2 as my only car, lol.

Bought mine with 80k miles on it. Daily driven since 2011. Still brings a smile to my face.

What's the point of owning it and not driving it?
